How Strange
"Something juicy?" My inner self asks.
"Uh-uh," I say back.
"I wouldn't mind something juicy at all."
I smile at that. My inner self never lacks a thing to surprise me with. It is always fun to listen to it, well, technically it is me, telling me whatever it thinks. And I always answer it, myself, it is fun for someone like me who doesn't like or doesn't have someone to tell these things to.
I stare at the waffles and it really looks good as soon as I pick up my spoon my phone vibrates, I place the spoon down and look at my phone ready to tell whoever texted me that I don't appreciate a text message at this time of the night.
I rethink that as I open and see the sender, it is my assistant and I am surprised why she is up at this time and whether she is still in the office.
The text says, 'we have a problem.'
