Braylee's Job Interview

The year is 2020 and super-humans live among normal people. Braylee was a very kind woman, twenty years old and fresh out of college. She stood at five foot six inches with a very slender frame and deep brown hair. She was preparing for a job interview when she was introduced to a man named James. James was also twenty years old and came from a rich parentage - he was a rich kid. He was five feet nine inches in height and had light brown hair combed over. She said, "Hello Mr. how are you?" to which James responded, "I am doing well, Ms. Hale. I will be handling your interview this afternoon."

"You look very handsome, sir...?" Spoke Braylee, almost without thinking. James smiled warmly and laughing softly. Braylee took her seat, eager for the interview to begin, to which James picked up the clipboard on the table next to him and gave it a quick read. He looked up to Braylee momentarily, speaking in a light baritone. "Ahh... where are my manners. I am James Valdore, the Vice-President of this company. It is a pleasure to meet you at last, Ms. Hale. Now then, let's get this underway. We heard back from your college professors and they all had positive things to say about you. All except one."

"Thank you so much for saying that, but I am sad that one of my professors didn't have anything positive to say about me. But that is alright!" She said, smiling. James smirked, impressed with the woman's positive attitude. He then focused on his clipboard, examining whatever notes it contained, then responded. "We'll start with some questions. Number one: you are dealing with a customer, we don't have what they want but we do have an off-brand product that is similar. They said they will only accept the product. What do you do?"

"Apologize that we are out of the product and offer the off-brand product. Mention that we currently have a sale on the off-brand version." answered Braylee smartly. James began to write down notes in the clipboard's paper, his smile turning to a smirk. He was about to continue questioning Braylee until his assistant entered the room. She had strawberry blonde hair down o her shoulders and wore a blue dress. She handed off a stack of papers to James, then left the room. James reached into the papers until he felt something odd.

"I do apologize about this Ms. Hale." James said as he retrieved his phone from the stack of papers, "It seems my appointment has been moved up so I'll have to put this job interview on hold. Please feel free to come back this evening, and we'll see about getting you hired. The position pays $10 an hour and work is about fifteen to twenty hours weekly." He then set away the clipboard and filed away the papers for one of the data input specialists to enter into the computer system. He then walked across the room and opened the door for Braylee.

"Thank you, James." Said Braylee, upset. "Hey, when you are done with your appointment, why don't you come over to my place. It's nice and cozy with a super comfy sofa." James gave some thought to the offer, momentarily. He wasn't the sort of person that really visited others especially when he didn't even really know them. "How about we go out on the town. I know a really great korean restaurant. I'm a member of their VIP club. Well, let's go then. I'll pick you up at your place."

"Yes, I would love to!" said Braylee, so excited. She was quickly escorted by James to the room's exit and then brought to the entrance to the building by security as a favor to James. As Braylee left the corporate building she looked for her pink sports car and quickly tapped on the keys to disable the alarm. Braylee stepped into the car and turned the key. The car started and she was gone, the pink sports car riding along the highway towards the location of her apartment.
