CHAPTER 2: Trial Begins 1

Alexa, open your eyes, Alesia cry out loud.

Seeing Alexa with no movement, Alesia dad hurriedly carried Alexa body.

"Alesia, quick open the door!!" He called out

Alesia ran to the car and open the door for her dad.

He quickly put Alexa at the back seat and Alesia entered the back seat with her.

Worry was clearly visible on Alesia's face, tears fell down her cheek when she looked at her best friend lying hopelessly.

Alesia dad drove with speed to the nearest hospital.

The time taken from the house to get to the hospital was around 25 minutes.

"Doctor ..... Doctor ........ Doctor!! Hurry up and check her, she is unconscious.

Alesia called out as they entered the hospital. Alexa body was quickly taken by the nurses and was admitted to the emergency room.

The nurse asked Alesia and her dad to stay outside while Alexa is being attended to.

Alesia became more worried, she kept asking her father if Alexa is going to be alright.

After 30 mins, the doctor in charge came out,

"She is alright, she just went through shock, she probably heard or saw something that shock her"

"Thank you Doctor, how is she now" said Alesia father.

"She's good, she just need enough rest" replied the doctor.

"Can we see her now?" Alesia asked the doctor with a worried tone.

The doctor looked at Alesia and smiles, "don't worry too much dear, she is fine and Yes, you can see her but don't disturb her"

"Alright, thank you"" replied Alesia.

Without thinking twice, she left her dad and the doctor to finish their discuss while she hurriedly entered the room.

When she saw her friend lying helpless on the bed, she felt sad and broke down into tears, she moved close to her, touch her hair,

Everything is going to be alright Alexa,

You can fight through this, I believe in you and I will always be by your side, Alexa whisper to Alexa ears.

Flash Back

i left school before closing period, I got to the bus station, waited for like 30mins but couldn't find a bus, I could not stay any longer there, so I went in search of a taxi, I couldn't find one too so I decided to walk home, It took me an hour to get home.

I got home but I saw a lot of people in front of our house, I was scared to approach the house, so I slowed down my tracks, as I walk towards them, my heart was racing fast.

Alesia noticed me from afar and ran towards my direction.

Alexa.... Alexa...... Alexa.... Alexa!!!!

Alesia called out.

When she got to where I am, she held both my hands, looked into my eyes and said!!

"Alexa, I'm sorry"

.....and tears fell down her tiny eyes..

The next thing I saw was black color and everything went blank, I fell unconscious.

I woke up with a heavy headache in the morning and I saw Alesia resting on me and holding my hand, I looked around and I realized that I am in the hospital, I woke Alesia up by gently stroking her hair.

Alesia jumped up realizing that I touched her hair,

"Alexa, you're awake"

How are you feeling now? asked Alesia worriedly.

I'm feeling good, just i feel a heavy headache but it's under control.

Alesia?

"Yes" Alesia replied me with a calm tone

"Where is papa, mama, Allie and Byan""

Why are they not here with you?

Alesia gave out a loud sigh.

I became uncalm to know why they are not here with me in the hospital, I couldn't help but to shout at Alesia and she started crying. I was about to approach her when the door opened, Alesia dad, Alesia Mom, My Uncle entered, it surprised me because I was expecting Papa and Nana..

They saw the surprise on my face but they all tried to keep calm not to raise any suspicion..

I approached Alesia's father slowly!

"Uncle where is papa, mama, Allie and Byan"

Why are they not here?

Is everything okay?

"Everything is fine dear, how are you feeling now" asked Alesia father

I'm good uncle, will you answer my question now?

"Yes, your dad and mama had to attend a business meeting urgently, they couldn't wait for you to come from school so they took Allie and Byan with them for the business trip"", replied Alesia dad.

I was not satisfied with the reply uncle gave me, merely reading their faces, I knew there's more to the answer Alesia dad gave me.

Alesia Mom , moved closer to me and embraced me and she said everything is going to be alright..

My uncle moved closer and stroke my hair and gave me a faint smile, I'm not always comfortable with my uncle because his touch always feels different from other people's touch..

I turned back at Alesia!

Alesia, you are the one person that I trust most in this life, look into my eyes and say everything is fine.

Alesia could not bring herself to look into my eyes, she looked at her dad and her dad nodded, with a heavy heart, Alesia raised her head up, stared sharply into my eyes and said yes, everything is fine with a faint voice.

I need to find out the truth, I thought to myself, so I gave them a faint smile.

Alesia drag me by the hand and sat me down,

Time to eat baby, I smiled

Everyone fed me but when I looked into their eyes, I saw a worried and scared face.

Then I became determined to find out the truth after I left the hospital if truly papa, mama, went for business trip and if Allie and Byan went with them for the trip.

Will she able to find the truth behind their worried and scared face?

Will she be able to accept the truth?

Will she survive after finding out the truth?
