"Hi, Link, I'm a fan of yours."
As she returned to the audience, Miss Lady Gaga took the initiative to greet him.
Link smiled and shook her hand. "Joanne, I'm also a fan of yours. I really like your song 'Poker Face'; the melody is fantastic."
"Thank you! How about collaborating sometime? I also live in New York," Miss Lady Gaga said with a smile.
"Of course."
Link chatted with her for a while.
Lady Gaga's real name is Joanne Germano, a 23-year-old from Manhattan, New York. She debuted in 2005 and has written songs for artists like Britney Spears, Fergie, and Little Mix. She's a songwriter and singer.
Last year, she released her first studio album, *The Fame*, which has sold over 5 million copies worldwide.
Her single "Poker Face" became a global hit, topping charts in 20 countries, including the U.S., and was even more popular than "Dream It Possible" and "Despacito."
Previously, Lady Gaga was known for her bold style and extravagant outfits, often wearing bizarre clothing to attract media attention, which made her seem quite flamboyant.
In real life, however, her voice was gentle, and during their conversation, Link noticed she was shy and avoided eye contact, which he found interesting.
He felt that Lady Gaga and he were similar types of people—thin-skinned but willing to create controversial topics to attract media attention.
"Link, I've seen your boxing matches. You're amazing in the ring," Joanne said, clenching her fist with excitement.
Link smiled lightly. "So, you're a fan of my boxing?"
"I also like your songs. My favorite is 'Dream It Possible'. I've listened to it over 100 times, and 'Despacito' is great too. The music video on YouTube is a bit rough though. You should record a polished one and re-release it."
"Yes, that video was recorded casually. We're currently planning the MV for the new album and the single. It should be re-released next month."
Since the album sales were good, Link Music was working on shooting a music video. A good MV could further illustrate the song's meaning, enhance its appeal, and boost album promotion.
So, recently, Link was not only busy promoting the album and helping train actors for the *Fighter* crew but also filming the MV, making his schedule very packed.
"Link, I'm starting my world tour next month and will be in Miami. Could I invite you to be a guest performer?"
Joanne asked tentatively.
Link thought for a moment and agreed. Lady Gaga was rising rapidly, and collaborating with her could be a good networking opportunity.
While they were chatting, Katy Perry, also known as "Fruit Sister," was nearby, staring at Link's face. Link looked over and nodded in greeting.
Katy Perry, 25, is of Latin descent, with brown eyes and a curvaceous figure. Wearing a dress that exposed half of her chest, she spoke lively and asked, "Link, are you really a boxer?"
Link was surprised for a moment and laughed. "Yes, is there a problem?"
Katy Perry shrugged and gestured, "I thought boxers were always those big, muscular guys. You look more like a model."
"Link has defeated Tyson. He's really impressive," Joanne interjected.
"I know, so I feel like he's not what I expected. I used to think Link the boxer and Link the singer were different people. Now I know they're the same person, it feels a bit split," Katy Perry said with a shrug.
Link joked, "Maybe I should take off my shirt and wear boxing gloves while singing on stage."
The two laughed and suggested he should try it.
On stage, the Best New Artist Award was being presented to Adele Adkins, also known as 'Grammy's darling.' She wins a Grammy every year as long as she releases a song.
"Miss Adele, congratulations on your award!"
After Adele came down from the stage, Link applauded.
"Thank you!"
Adele smiled happily.
"It looks really beautiful."
Link admired the golden gramophone statuette in her hands, the Grammy trophy, which was very delicate.
"Would you like to see it?"
Adele offered with a smile.
"May I?"
Link took the trophy and felt the artistic aura of the Grammy.
Lady Gaga and Katy Perry also came over, curiously looking at it with envious expressions.
Link wanted to tell them not to be envious; even if they were not Grammy darlings, they would each have dozens of them in the future. Winning a Grammy might be more challenging for him.
After looking at the trophy for a while, Link returned it to Adele and expressed his gratitude. Then Adele went back on stage to receive another golden gramophone for Best Pop Female Artist of the Year. It was no surprise, given her reputation as a Grammy darling, to win the award for Best Female Artist so early in her career.
After Adele left the stage, Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus performed "Fifteen." Both are singers from Nashville. Taylor had written a song for Miley, "You'll Always Find Your Way Back Home."
Taylor wore a white chiffon dress and played guitar while singing. Miley Cyrus wore a black leather jacket and joined her in the performance.
Miley Cyrus, at just 17, has sold over 10 million albums worldwide, released three albums, all of which topped the charts. Her North American tour from 2007-2008 earned 36 million dollars in ticket sales alone.
Her tour footage was made into a documentary film with a box office of 70.6 million dollars, higher than many Hollywood blockbusters.
Link felt that this kind of talent was truly destined.
Unlike himself, as a singer, he needed to rack his brain for lyrics and melodies, often ending up with a headache to come up with even a small piece of a song; as a boxer, he had to train tirelessly to make incremental progress.
Clap, clap, clap!
As the performance ended, Taylor, with her guitar, got off stage. Link stood up and took her hand, leading her to sit down.
As they were the hottest couple in the music industry, the audience's attention and camera lenses followed their every move.
"They really make a great pair," Joanne said softly to Katy Perry.
Katy Perry looked and shook her head. "The media calls them Britney and Justin, clearly not optimistic about them. I don't think celebrity couples last long."
"But they really do seem like a great match."
Joanne looked at the couple with envy, one handsome and tall, the other elegant and beautiful, both very talented. They were definitely the most perfect couple in the entertainment industry.
Katy Perry looked at Link and whispered to Joanne, "Amber Link is particularly impressive in that aspect. Every time he makes her unable to get up. I don't know if it's true."
Joanne gave her a disdainful look. "You're so inappropriate."
"I'm inappropriate?"
Katy Perry was taken aback by her comment. In the current circle, Lady Gaga was definitely one of the boldest in terms of style. Her outfits were often revealing, and her behavior was eccentric, with some daring moves in her MVs and performances, which were often criticized by the media for being too bold and not suitable for children.
How could such a person say she's inappropriate?
She thought Joanne and Link were quite similar, both somewhat split in personality.
