Chapter 12

Zeke sighed once he heard what Justin had to say. He glanced back at the man silently watching him type on his phone. He no longer felt worthy to be with him and the longer this went on the more he felt Justin was right to want a divorce. Perhaps it was for the best if they did.

"I'm going to take a shower... I'll sleep on the couch tonight..." He said and left the room. He walked briskly to the shower. Zeke shut the door behind him and locked the door with a heavy sigh. Hot showers helped him to think and as he felt the steam caress his bare body he felt more at ease than he did in that room.

"What have I done to us... Justin, I'm sorry..."

The man watches Zeke leave the room for a shower. Right when he was about to follow him to make sure he was okay, his phone rang. Andrew had called to check up on him with the divorce papers.

"Yes, this is him… This is the last straw... Yes, I will forgive him because it's in my nature to, but if he fucks up again, I want them signed right on the spot... No, just burn it... We will return back sooner rather than later, hopefully… Alright, thanks... Okay, keep me informed."

Justin got off the phone and walked to the bathroom, realizing it was locked, he stood outside leaning against the wall waiting for him.

Zeke remained in the shower for quite some time. He let the water rain over his sore body. Allowing the heat of the water to draw out the pain from his muscles. When he was done he turned off the water and dried himself off with a towel. He stepped out of the shower and stared at his reflection in the mirror.

He cursed himself beneath his breath. Why had he done such terrible things to a man who clearly did not deserve any of this? The blond looked away and quietly dressed. He hung his towel to dry and left the bathroom, he saw Justin but quickly ignored him and went downstairs. Zeke entered the kitchen and poured himself a glass of water to drink. He stood over the counter drinking it quietly.

The man was slightly shocked by Zeke's action of just walking past him as if he wasn't there. He followed him down to the kitchen and sat at the counter watching him carefully. He was probably looking for another out lash from the man.

"Zeke… I thought about it and everything you're committed to doing. I told my lawyer to destroy the divorce papers but he is keeping a blank one just in case another event happens with us." He said, trying his best to avoid eye contact with the blond.

Just as Justin could not look at Zeke, Zeke could not bear to look at his husband not even for a second. Not with the guilt he made him feel for all his mistakes. The blond took a few sips of water then set the glass on the counter with pursed lips.

"Well, I am glad I can do something right. If amusing you appeases you then I suppose I have done something right… If you have no further need for me I will rest on the couch for the night... I am relieved you have decided to tear up the papers Justin... Even if it means being a toy and not a bride. As long as I am with you and that alone is enough to make me happy. Despite your hatred for me and what I have done to us. I am happy to be by your side no matter how you choose to use me. As a bride or as a mere toy for your amusement... I will love you regardless."

"There is no need to sleep on the couch you can sleep on the bed... I won't be joining you for tonight I got work to attend in my office." The man spoke.

The man stood and walked over to Zeke. Towering over him, he leans down and lightly kisses Zeke on the lips making eye contact with him.

"And regarding all your mistakes, I love you... I will always love you" Justin whispered.

Zeke said nothing. He didn't know what to say or what he should think anymore. He was tired and confused and wanted nothing more than to regain Justin's trust and affection again. It certainly didn't feel like he was loved by his husband. The blond only ever felt guilty. He looked away after their lips parted. Zeke stared at the ground. He needed to say something, didn't he?

"You won't be home tonight at all?" Zeke said sadly.

Carefully watching the man, he started to reconsider his actions. Going to work away from home today the best option? Both of them needed space to think about it all. Don't they?

"I won't be home tonight but by the time you get up in the morning I will be here… Why?" Justin was worried about the man. How would Zeke feel being alone in the house? Surely he would be bored out of his mind and frustrated.

"I'm not going to do anything Justin. I was just wondering why you had to go to work so late. I'll see you in the morning."

Zeke sighed and started his way up the stairs. He hadn't even considered cheating again. He stopped at the top of the steps and sighed. How could he fix this? So far he felt like it was impossible.

Zeke flopped on the bed and sighed. He didn't feel like going to bed but he didn't want Justin to know that either. Especially if he hadn't left yet. If he had the night to himself then he could do anything he wanted. Well, anything that involved t.v. or reading a decent book. If truth were to be told he didn't want Justin to go to work. He wanted just another hour with his husband thought maybe it wouldn't be good for either of them. For now, he simply laid on the bed waiting for the sound that his husband was gone.

Justin felt bad. Leaving the house on unclear terms and confusion between them. But he was needed back at his office for filing papers, and the only time he could go was late at night. He grabbed his keys and went to the safe and placed Zeke's phone on the kitchen counter. On the phone, remained everything still except his contacts. Only, Justin's office number and his phone number remain on the phone along with his family.

The man debated hard with himself before walking out. Maybe they can talk things over in the morning when tensions weren't painstakingly high.

Once he was gone Zeke came out from upstairs and returned to the kitchen. He surprised the other gave him his phone back but he didn't complain. He was actually grateful for it and decided to send a short message to his husband. Zeke waited a good fifteen minutes to do so. He sent a short text saying thanks and left it at that. After Zeke did exactly as he said he was going to do and returned back upstairs and went to bed. He didn't wake until morning.
