Chapter 45 - A Week Without Him

The apartment door opened and Daisy hurriedly closed her eyes to pretend to be asleep. She should avoid talking to Zen for a while until she feels fine in Zen's presence.

Daisy could feel Zen's footsteps approaching. And well, Zen looked at her with a look that he missed the old Daisy so much. His hand gently touched Daisy's cheek.

"You have no idea how much I love you, Daisy," Zen said. Daisy heard that. Her heartbeat was completely uncooperative.

"Maybe you're pretending to be asleep, but I'm not lying about my feelings at all, Daisy," Zen said this time quietly.

Damn! Daisy thought. This was all because of her heartbeat that Zen could hear. But even so, Daisy kept her eyes closed. Trying to sleep to be as true as it seems. Then all Daisy remembered was Zen's kiss on the forehead and Daisy just fell asleep.
