Run ma' Dude!

What a cunning witch.

Being able to blend in with her surroundings with such ease is nothing less than impressive.

She's able to put up an act, and can develop according to the situation.

Clearly, she's quite mature. And her ability to hunt down her victims is also pretty skillful.

[Sumire's POV]

As I was conversing with my ʼfriendsʼ I felt a cold gaze behind my back, a shiver ran through my spine. But I didn't let it show on my face.

A perfect facade.

That was what I thought... But he- his existence made it... made my plan a bit more complicated.

How should I say it? He... I mean Boruto, is someone that needs to be... Eliminated? Or should I say...

Why? Why did someone like him have to show up?! My plan-... My father's plan would've gone smoothly if he didn't have to appear. I hate him!

I hate him to the point where I would kill him!

I gritted my teeth, a smile still plastered on my face.

I need to take action, and quickly.

[Boruto's POV]

Ignoring her for the time being, I exited the classroom. Hearing footsteps behind me, I changed my direction and headed toward the storeroom.

Sliding the door, I entered the storeroom and made my way to switch on the lights.

*Click*

Turning on the lights, I shifted my gaze toward the entrance. There I saw Sumire, her piercing gaze locked into mine.

"Hey"

She kept silent, standing at the entrance as if trying to scare me. And then slid her hands into her... Pockets?

A kunai, a super sharp one at that. She lowered her head, her long purple hair covering her face, preventing me from seeing her expression.

She ran towards me while holding out the kunai in her hand. She jumped, barely touching the ceiling.

*Swoosh*

I side-stepped, avoiding the slash, she was still mid-air. Clenching my left fist, I gave a half-hearted blow to her abdomen.

*Clang*

The Kunai, along with her crashed to the ground. She gasped for air while gripping her chest. Surprisingly, she didn't scream or yell at me.

"You're so strong"

I commented, trying to provoke her... That ultimately, failed. It would've been so much more fun seeing her rage.

"Welp... See ya, I guess?"

"Why?"

Ignoring that question, I Body-Flickered from there and arrived on the rooftop. The refreshing cold breeze bruised my skin, giving me a light chill.

The ringing sound of the school bell shortly destroyed that, I headed back to my class.

***

"Where are we heading, Boruto?"

"Nowhere in particular"

Munching on my thunder burger, I replied to Mitsuki's question. Shikadai was looking at the clouds, lost in his thoughts.

*BAM*

"What the-?!"

Shikadai was visibly shaken after hearing that loud thud. I was curious as well. Maybe someone was fighting?

"Let's go"

With those words, Shikadai took off toward the source. Mitsuki, along with me followed behind.

"Well, this is unexpected"

Cho-Cho, Sumire and Sarada were in an alleyway beside a vending machine. Cho-Cho was using her Partial-Expansion Jutsu to strangle a kid, similar to our age on the vending machine.

"Hey, Cho-Cho! Cut it out"

Shikadai hastily approached them. Cho-Cho eased her expression after seeing us, she retracted her hand and folded them.

The kid, who was strangled, fell to the ground on his knees and coughed continuously. Sumire looked 'frightened' and hid behind... me?

What is she up to now?

The kid deeply sighed, still on his knees. He had pale skin with long brown hair. Not particularly handsome or ugly. You could say he looked like the 'The second coming of Orochimaru'.

"Why were you stalking me?"

Cho-Cho asked the kid sternly, he looked quite nervous.

"Hmm? Come to think of it, aren't you?....Magire from the class next door?"

Magire huh, it's my first time hearing such a stupid name. His eyes are as stupid as him too, like, what does he see in her to stalk her?

"With so few handsome guys in the Academy, I'd say he'd rank toward the top"

Him? Top? This girl has some serious eye issues or her brain is damaged... Probably the latter.

"I can't believe he was really following you"

Sumire commented with a worried tone.

"Seriously? Following Cho-Cho?... You really have strange taste"

Shikadai voiced his thoughts, to which I completely understand. This guy has some serious issues.

Cho-Cho, however, paid no mind to his comment. She swagged her hair to the side, trying to look pretty or something.

"Oh my, I completely understand why you want to follow me, but... I'm sorry, you and I are like macarons and natto. We're totally in different leagues-!"

"You're wrong!!"

He yelled, interrupting her. Which I was grateful for.

He clenched his fist, and put on a fierce expression.

"The person I was watching is...Miss Sumire!"

He boldly declared while pointing his finger at her. Sumire, who was now stupified by the situation, began to panic.

"What!? Huh? Oh my--"

She buried her face in her palms and looked away. What a 'surprising' turn of events. Well, it was quite predictable, I mean who would chase after that bitch.

Cho-Cho sighed.

"Phew... Man, I'm good. My plan to extract information out of him was a total success"

As if.

Shikadai walked over to the vending machine and entered a coin. Claiming the drink in his hands, he opened it and looked toward us.

"But in any case, you went a little too far"

Magire looked a little troubled hearing Shikadai's words. He loosened his clenched fist.

"B-but what was I supposed to do? I-i just wanted to breathe the same air as Miss Sumire"

He blushed... Very creepy. Hearing his statement, the girl who was being stalked again hid behind me.

"I-i'll be on my way"

He hastily tried to run off, probably from embarrassment.

"This may be your chance!"

Cho-Cho's unexpected words brought him to a halt. Oh my god! Give it a rest girl!

"Huh?"

He was as confused as the others.

"You might as well tell her how you feel right now"

I deadpanned. Guys knew how guys felt... This dude is never getting accepted. And he must also be aware. Run Buddy!

"What!?"

He blushed so hard, that half of his face was red. Cho-Cho neared Sumire and placed both her hands on each of her shoulders.

"If you tell her how you feel right now, then I'll forgive you for what you did..."

Atleast the scenario isn't as boring as I thought it'd be.

"And maybe even..."

She held her thumb out with a confident smirk. Magire's eyes sparkled with joy, the others, along with Sumire were also surprised.

The stalker approached her with a confident look on his face, Sumire gasped and covered her mouth with her hand.

Magire's took deep breaths, he suddenly shifted to a 90° bow with his hand struck out toward her.

"I-i... I've liked you for the longest time! P-please, go out with me!"

Akin to him, Sumire also did a 90° bow.

"I'm sorry!"

Poor guy, I almost feel pity for him.

"And he got rejected"

Boom...There, Shikadai dropped the bomb. The Nara's comment only struck him deeper... I think.

His body shook, and he fell to his knees with a dreadful expression.

"W-What the hell!"

"I did it because you told me to!"

"I would've been better off staying hidden!"

He sobbed while his hair covered his face, preventing me from seeing his tears. Sigh, told'ja to run.

"Well, I knew this would happen"

Ah, the all-knowing. I rolled my eyes at her.

Cho-Cho nonchalantly said so as she approached him. She knelt beside him to take a closer look or something.

"Y-You're so cruel"

He whispered in a dangerous tone, almost inaudible. Cho-Cho, however, ignored those words and held out a chip.

"Here... Have one of there, cheer up"

Her gentle smile only made him feel worse, at least that's what I'll feel if I were in his shoes.

He looked right into her eyes.

"You never know until you step up to the challenge, right?... So now, you'll know what to do next time"

His anger had visibly flared up, he slapped away her hand, making the potato chip fly across the alleyway like a leaf.

"What the hell? Are you messing with me?"

"Waaa!!"

With a cry like any other, he ran away with all his might.

"Talk about rubbing salt into a wound"

"If he doesn't get it he's just a loser"

"Come on, let's go!"

With that, we took off. I glanced back, looking at his fading figure. I wouldn't be surprised if he was found dead tomorrow, Sumire's already pretty flared up, and if she gets emotionally unstable, she might just vent out all her frustration onto him.

Poor guy. Chuckle.
