Result's Day

*A Few Days Later, Results Announcement Day*

Diseum and August walked through the doors of Merlin's home and greeted Shin who was standing near the entrance, "Long time no see, Shin."

"Oh, it's been a while Uncle Dis."

Merlin also greeted them, "It's good to see you two."

August, a blonde boy the same age as Shin and Lucian, and the son of King Diseum, bowed his head, "I believe this is the first time we have met Master Merlin. I am delighted to be able to see a Hero such as you on this fine day."

"Hoho." Merlin seemed pleased with the respect he was being shown."

Diseum asked a question, "Where is Lucian? I assumed he would be around so we could all go to see the entrance exam results together."

Shin responded, "I think he went into the town earlier today, but he did say he would be at the academy to see his results later."

August looked a bit disappointed, "I would have liked to meet him now, bit if I have to wait until later that's fine as well. Let's get going then, I'm looking forward to seeing my results."

*In Town At The Same Time*

"You little bastard, how have you won every time?! You've got to be cheating!"

Lucian sat at the table across from the burly man who was speaking that seemed to be a monster hunter of some sort and replied, "I'm not cheating, I'm just lucky and remember, luck is a skill my friend. I've only got time for one last game before I need to head off though, so you better try your hardest to win your money back."

Lucian had been making the best use of his time, and was doing some early morning gambling against monster hunters. The game was very similar to Poker, and there had previously been six people including Lucian and the remaining man playing.

Lucian had been constantly winning by using illusion magic which he had created by using a weak form of hypnosis on the opponents, and also distorting the space around the cards to mean that the image of his cards that he displayed in the opponents minds were seen by them in real life.

As he had with every other game so far, Lucian managed to easily beat the man and store all of his winnings in his dimensional space which was similar to an inventory in games as he could mentally see what was stored inside of it.

`He had gone into the game with only a few copper coins and a silver, and left with two gold coins and fifty silvers. (I don't think the currency is ever specified apart from it being coins, so let's just say 100 copper is 1 silver, 100 silver is 1 gold, and 100 gold is 1 platinum).

Lucian stood up from the table, "Well, it was fun playing with you my friend, I'll catch you another time."

The man replied with a grin, "Sure thing you little bastard, I'll be sure to win my money back next time."

"I'm looking forward to it." Replied Lucian before walking away.

*A Bit Later On*

Lucian arrived at the Magic Academy and walked over to the boards displaying their results where he saw Shin and another boy. He walked over to them and spoke, "Hey bro, did you get in?"

Shin responded, "Yep, I did and I saw your name on there so you did as well."

The other boy, August, looked excited to meet Lucian, "Hi, I'm August Von Earlshide, but my friends call me Aug. I've heard a lot about you from your brother, and I've been looking forward to meeting you."

Lucian smiles and responded, "It's nice to meet you too, do you guys want to go to the lien for everyone that passed?"

Shin replied, "Sure thing."

The three boys walked over to the line, and after queueing for five minutes, they reached the front of the line and the woman at the desk handed them each their uniforms and textbooks after checking their registration numbers, "We tailored all of your uniforms according to the data from your ID cards, so they should be the correct sizes. If it doesn't fit then you can feel free to remodel them yourselves."

Lucian and Shin Wolford will be placed in Class S, as well as his Highness Prince August. Also, Lucian Wolford is to deliver the greeting speech on behalf of the new students in the entrance ceremony."

Lucian thought for a second, "That should be alright, thanks for letting me know."

The three boys then left the Academy grounds and walked back to Merlin's house to tell everyone that they got in. However, about halfway through the walk, Shin realised that he had forgotten to find Sicily to speak to her again which caused his mood to be more down than usual. Lucian noticed this and gave him some encouragement, "I'm pretty sure you're upset because you didn't see Sicily, right? But if she got in as well then you'll probably see her at the entrance ceremony, or at least at the Academy itself."

Shin replied, "That's true, but still, I would have liked to been able to at least know if she got in..."

August, noticing what had happened, got involved in the conversation, "Girl problems eh? don' worry about it, just focus on the positives, you got into the school and even came second in the entrance exams. Be happier for yourself man!"

After hearing this, Shin seemed to perk up a bit, "Yeah, I guess you two are right. I'll be positive."

Once the three arrived back at the house, they were quickly and excitedly greeted by Merlin, Melinda, and Diseum, who all wanted to know how they had done, "How did you do?", "Did you all pass?", "What placements did you all get?"

Lucian replied to all of them at once as he was quickest to react, "We all did well and all of us passed. Our rankings were me in first place, Shin in second, and August was in third."

After hearing this, all three boys were praised and they all spent the night celebrating.

*Elsewhere*

Kurt was in his room after getting his results back from the entrance exams. He was clearly angry as Shin had humiliated him during the entrance exams in front of everyone.

He had a face of sheer anger and disgust while sat in the middle of his room's floor, "I'm in class A...? Not in S, but A...?! And the kid who shamed me was accepted into class S?! This isn't funny. He cheated somehow, I know it... The school's teachers are corrupt...!! If not so... I'd be... This us unforgivable!! Unforgivable... Unforgivable... UNFORGIVABLE..."
