BSWS CH-41 The Chunin Exams IX - Snake's Promise and Plan's Consequences

Orochimaru was blown off by a barrage of Chakra push from a few clones of Naruto. He stood up with his broken body creepily and the bones reset by themselves, while he dodged Sasuke's fireballs. He glared at the duo as his tongue hung from his mouth.

'This is going on for too long. Proctors of the Chunin Exams would have discovered the corpses of the original Genin team by now if they were really alert. I need to finish this soon!!' Orochimaru thought as he stopped holding back by a bit.

He made a shadow clone and they summoned a pair of giant snakes for both of them to stand upon. They then executed a combination of Ninjutsu.

"Wind Style: Great Breakthrough!! Fire Style: Great Fire Annihilation!! Combination Jutsu: Wrath of the Ifrit!!!" Orochimaru exclaimed as he completed the hand signs. Wind and fire burst out of their mouth in droves, before combining and turning into an ocean of fire.

The blast from the combination technique threw Sasuke and Naruto away while inducing second-degree burns on all the exposed parts of their skin. The power of the fire blast turned them both into burning rag dolls that were thrown away by an angry owner.

Naruto broke through a bunch of branches before being struck against the thick trunk of a tree, breath pushed out of his lungs from the force of the crash. Meanwhile, Sasuke too was similarly thrown away. But he was pierced by a broken tree branch, which from his back and exited through his chest, right below the lungs.

As Naruto recovered his breath and looked around, he saw Sasuke on a tree branch, while a different broken branch had pierced through his body. With blood and burns on him, it was difficult to determine if he was even alive.

"Sasuke!!!!" Naruto exclaimed as a rush of anger, pain and helplessness ran through his mind and heart. Immediately, he felt something pulse deep within him, a sort of thump which one might feel when the heart starts beating suddenly after CPR.

Orochimaru glanced at Naruto in surprise as he senses a primal and almost evil aura emerging from Naruto. His hair suddenly became spikier, his cheek's whisker marks became very prominent. And most of all, his clothes and scarf started fluttering in a weird pressure-like aura that existed only around Naruto.

Naruto then turned his head towards Orochimaru with a sudden jerk. Orochimaru's pupil's shrunk slightly when he noticed two glowing red animal-like eyes glaring at him, with an expression of wrath, madness, and destruction.

"Ahhhh!!!" Naruto screamed as he disappeared from the trunk he was smashed against. The next moment, Orochimaru and his clone both received powerful kicks enhanced with Chakra Blasts that sent them flying. The clone popped in the air, while Orochimaru was smashed against a tree.

"Raaahhh!!" Naruto's yelling continued as Naruto flitted around the snakes at an incredible speed, his punches and kicks turning them into meat paste in front of Orochimaru's eyes.

'No way!! That is the Nine Tail Fox Brat??' Orochimaru though as he coughed out some blood 'Ugh, I can't use my special replacement technique to remake my body or my current disguise will be revealed. I need to seal away the fox brat before he ends up doing more damage to me.'

Purple-colored Chakra Fire lit up on the tips of Orochimaru's left-hand fingers. Displayed within the Chakra Fire were characters for Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, and Earth.

After turning the snakes to mush with his bare hands, Naruto rushed at Orochimaru with hands outstretched like claws. Orochimaru deflected Naruto's hands with a bunch of kicks before sending a palm strike towards the abdomen of Naruto.

However, right before the Chakra Fire could connect with Naruto's abdomen, chains made of Fuinjutsu seals emerged from all around the forest and caught Orochimaru in every major joint, limb, and body part.

"What??!" Both Naruto and Orochimaru exclaimed at the same time. The Chakra Fire on Orochimaru's fingertips faded away as he struggled to free himself from the chains. However, he was spending his effort in vain.

Naruto's shock overrode his rage, and he moved away from the chained Orochimaru. As he looked around to see who was responsible, he heard a shout from the treetops.

"Naruto!! Let's go!!" Sakura screamed from the treetop. Naruto looked up and saw Sakura standing there with a Red-Haired girl, while the unconscious Sasuke was in a piggyback mode on her back.

"Don't dawdle!!" Sakura shouted on seeing Naruto standing there looking at her. Hearing her scolding, Naruto came to his senses and they all ran away from the place.

"The Nine-tail Fox brat, The last free Uchiha, and a Girl who looks like an Uzumaki strong enough to restrain me. Yet all of them are being led by a girl with no special trait, except that ridiculous pink hair of hers." Orochimaru said as his lips dangled out of his mouth.

"So many delicious subjects for my experiments…" Orochimaru said as an intense gleam came to his eyes and he unleashed his full chakra and powers.

A terrifying purple-colored chakra emerged from Orochimaru's pores, slowly forming a cocoon-like flame around him. After a minute of coalescing, Orochimaru regurgitated a new body for himself from his mouth.

However, this new body was clearly not perfect, as he vomited a lot of blood immediately after completely emerging.

"Ugh, that is why I keep this method of substitute rebirth for emergencies. Without Hand signs, this method is highly unstable." Orochimaru muttered as he wiped away the blood with the bank of his hand.

"You are really lucky little Uchiha," Orochimaru said as he stared at the direction Sakura and others had fled in.

"My pawns couldn't make it and you even somehow managed to escape from me. You really have a piece of amazing luck. But don't worry, I will find you again. I promise you that my little Uchiha, I promise." an evil obsessive gleam emerged from Orochimaru's eyes.

Sakura led the group towards the tower at the fastest pace she could manage while carrying Sasuke. While she saved him from the fate of getting tagged by Orochimaru's Seal, he was currently hanging between life and death by a thread due to her decision. She had patched him up with her chakra strings, but he needed medical attention as soon as possible.

Naruto had tried asking her where they were going and who the red-head with them was, but he shut up immediately on seeing the distress and anger on Sakura's face. He just followed Sakura silently as they swiftly made their way to the tower.

As soon as they reached the tower, Sakura burst into the final room of the test and opened the Heaven and Earth scrolls in a rush. Immediately a puff of smoke filled the room as Iruka popped into the room through summoning.

"Congratulations! You have made it…" Iruka began but was cut halfway through by Sakura.

"Sorry, Iruka Sensei. We can have this chat later. Currently, we would like if Sasuke gets medical attention ASAP." Sakura said.

Iruka looked at the condition of Sasuke, the battle-worn look of Naruto and Sakura, and the redhead with them.

'Okay, I guess I am going to end up having a lot of chat with these four and the Hokage.' Iruka thought as he immediately led them towards the Medical Facilities.
