Chapter 6: Untitled

"Mom, Dad, Everyone. There is something you should know. I can see ghosts." "You can see ghosts?" said Lycan. "Yes I can. Its more like sprirts. Not like the ones you hear about in scary stories. All they want is for me to do something for their family whether its telling someone something or doing something for someone. I told them I wouldn't kill anyone or do anything inappropriate I warned them." "Well that's good." Said mom. "So who is the recent ghost you have seen recently?" said Dad. "I haven't seen any since I came back home but I have been seeing them for years now. You always though I was talking to an imaginary friend when I was talking them." "Oh I see so that's why you didn't tell us." Said mom. "Yeah sorry I told you only now." "If you ever need our help for anything let me or your siblings know. Oh and of course us and your friends ok Talia?" said mom. "Yes I know mom." "OK well you should get some rest. You have had a rough night." "Sorry everyone for not being able to finish the party and for not telling you until now." "Hey its all good sis. We are just glad you are ok." "Thanks. Brother can you stay with me until I fall asleep? I would ask Jay but we aren't married yet and you are my brother." "I understand sure. But mom and dad before you go can you tell that person I was talking to I will call them later." "Yes of course we will." Said mom and winked. "Mom you are embarrassing me." "What all I did was wink." "That's the problem jeeze." "Hehe I'll see you tomorrow mom and dad. I love you." "We love you too Talia." Then mom took the others back to the ball. Jay went to tell everyone that I wasn't feeling well.

''Brother? Is there anyone you miss that died?" "Hmm. Well I never met my biological father but I would have loved to at least see what he looked like? Other than that I don't think I know of anyone." "If you think of anyone let me know. If I happen to see them I will let you know ok?" "So you really can see spirits then." "Yeah I can. My first one was a little boy in a car accident. He wanted me to tell his mommy daddy and little brother it wasn't their fault that he died. Also that he loved them and that he is sorry for leaving them so soon." "I see what was the boys name?" "His name was Sammy." "Oh poor kid." "Yeah I know he only looked about 6 or 7 years old." "OK now try to sleep ok? I will stay here till you fall asleep." "Ok thank you brother. For believing in me." "Your welcome sis. I'm sure the others do too even if they don't seem like it." She smiled and held her brothers hand and fell asleep in minutes.

Everyone left the party and congratulated him and Talia again and wished her to get better soon. He thanked them as well. Just as everyone was leaving Lycan came by and met up with Jay. "Hey jay. She is finally asleep." "That's good. How does her health seem?" "Seems good physically. Although I am not sure about the mental part. I'll have her tell you. I didn't dare ask." "Haha ok sure. Oh and a visitor waited for you. She is on the balcony." "Oh ok thanks man." Then jay left to his room to change and get ready for bed.

"Hey there. I thought you would go home when everyone else did. Princess of the spring." "Hehe. You have called me that since we were growing up. My father always had business here. He was a busy man and he would take my sister and I here since we kept bugging him to play in the snow. We wanted to hang out with all of you." "Yeah I guess so. So you don't care much for the crown prince of summer?" "No. he is indeed handsome but he is not my type and its too hot over there. I like coming here because not only for you all its just pretty in the winter. Its like living in a snow ball of glitter." "Haha yeah my sisters used to say that when they were younger too." "I haven't told you this but I am sure you figured it out already. I'm not the crown prince by blood. I was taken in when I was found as a baby in the forest." "Your right you didn't tell me but I knew you weren't related because of your hair and your skin tone. All the others have either white hair or a light color closer to an icy color." "You still want to hang out with me?" "Of course. Whoever you were in the past doesn't matter. Its who you are now. Plus I know who your blood relatives are. I talked to Mrs. Evans." "Oh I see she told you then." "Yeah. Are you mad at her?" "No I am actually grateful for her. I was just hoping my background wouldn't make you not want me at all." "Oh so that's why you were so nervous. That's a relief." "You know me and my sister too aren't related to the king and queen by blood either. Yes we have the same skin color but the eyes and hair don't match. The king and queen couldn't have any kids, so they took me and my sister in. they have also been talking about taken in a son lately. A son or two." "Really?" "Yeah. I think it would be great to have a little brothers. I mean I already have someone similar to an older brother since we hang out so much. So I want a younger brother." "I see. Well since its late why don't you stay here tonight and leave in the morning. You can stay in one of the guest rooms." "Are you sure?" "Yes. Actually there Is a guest room next to my room. The guest rooms stay clean so if we have a guest they can stay in it instead of getting it ready when they need it." "I think I will take you up on the offer. I think the reason my father wants to have a couple sons is so he can have a Crown prince. We have been living the king and queen since we were babies. It's a pain being twins." "Haha yeah my blood siblings would think so too. The younger ones are twins." "I never would have guessed. Well maybe I should get close to them in the future and talk to them about twin siblings." "Haha yeah you do that. Shall I escort you to your room?" "Certainly your highness." She curtseyed. He bowed back.

"Here we are Emerald." "Thank you Lycan." Then she kissed him on the cheek and he blushed. He knelt down and kissed her hand and she blushed then she opened the door and said, "Good night your highness." "Goodnight princess." Then he went next door to his room to get ready for bed.

It was already 1:00 in the mourning. Talia was moaning in her sleep. She had a fever and no one was there to check on her. She shot her eyes open and tried to stand up but fell and she couldn't get up she was so sick. "Groan." Someone had to have heard her thud and she heard someone running toward her door. They knocked on the door and no answer. Talia's big sister Azura came rushing in. "Sister! Sister are you ok?" She felt her head and it was hot. "Let me have someone get a doctor I will be right back." She ran to get a butler on shift and told him to get a doctor. That Talia is sick. He ran and Azura left back to her sisters room. "Hmm. Ha…Ha.." "Hey Talia are you ok?" All she could do were yes or no questions she couldn't talk. She shook her head no. Then she closed her eyes. She got a rag from the bathroom and got some cold water and put the rag on her forehead.

Finally the doctor came in. "Oh Doctor. I found her on the floor and helped her to her bed. She has a fever." He took a thermometer and put it in her mouth. "Yes she sure does. This is a pretty high one. I need to give her a shot to make it go down. If it doesn't she could die." He got the syringe out of his bag and the medicine. He put the syringe in her arm and slowly put the medicine in her. Then she started calming down. "Thank you doctor. I think I will stay in here with her in case something else happens." "Good Idea. I will check on her in a few hours ok?" "Sure doc." She went on the couch and laid there until later that day.

Finally it was bright outside. Talia realized it was too bright. "Ow. My head hurts too bright." Then Azura came in to see how she was doing. "Oh your up. How are you feeling?" "I feel fine. Last night I had a bad dream. I can't remember what it was about though." "Well its lunch time now. Do you want to eat up here or go to the dinning room?" "I'll go down. I just need to wake myself up." "Ok I will get a maid." "No sis. I want you to help me today. Will that be ok? Just for today?" "Yes sis I can do that. What color are you in the mood for today?" "Hmm. Lets go with purple." "Ok sounds good." So she helped me put a purple dress on and she did my hair and makeup. She escorted me to the dining room.

"Morning everyone." It got quiet all of a sudden. "Uh sis why did everyone go quiet all of a sudden?" "You have been asleep for 4 days with a fever." "Are you serious? No wonder. Sorry to worry everyone. Now please go ahead and talk to your hearts content." So they went back to normal and my little brother Onyx came running over to hug me. "Oh hello little brother." "Sis I was so worried." "I'm fine little brother. I just had a bad dream that's all." "Really?" "Really." I patted him on the head then he went back to his seat.

"Hey Jay after breakfast can we go for a walk?" "Why sure. You need some fresh air after waking up so late." "Ok thanks." So after breakfast we went to the garden and sat on my favorite bench.

"So what did you want to talk to me about?" "Am I that obvious?" "Well that seems to be the reason why we walk to the garden." Said Jay. "Ok your right. Well I don't remember being sick. All I remember is a bad dream. I think it was spirit related." "Spirit related? You can get sick from something like that?" "Yeah. Its like this. Sometimes not all the time you can experience a small portion of how the other person died. You feel like you died too but sometimes its too much and you get sick. Or so I was told by one of the spirits in the past since he knew someone who was." "So was there a spirit last night?" "Well yes and no. It was a woman spirit. Well I think she may have been a shy teenager. Something happened to her and she was shy so that is the no part. After she disappeared I haven't seen her in awhile." "I see well I hope you see her again." "Thanks me too. Oh yeah when do you have sword practice?" "Oh don't worry. I have time. I have got another hour." "OK well that is what I wanted to come out to tell you. We should head back." "Ok lets go." So he escorted me back home and we had some free time so he did his thing I did mine. Which was reading. I went to my forest to read a little bit under a tree I used to like climbing as a little girl.

After I was reading awhile I heard someone calling me. the voice said. "Hello? Your highness?" I looked around and jumped a little bit. It was the spirit that tried to contact me earlier. "Hello. Don't be frightened. I'm here to help. I see spirits who can't cross over and I do what I can for them. My name is Princess Talia." "I know. I hear from the other spirits. You said you can help me?" "Yes I can what can I do for you?" "Um. Well I'm not shy or anything that is not why I hide. I am just embarrassed on how I died. My parents don't know I'm dead yet and no one has found my body." "Oh I see. Where and how did you die?" "Here let me show you." She closed her eyes and showed me a vision on how she died. After the vision it took a lot out of me and I leaned back on the tree and panted awhile. "Sorry it must have been a lot for your body." "Its ok I can deal. So I see. That place looked familiar where is it that your body is? And how long have you been missing?" "I have been missing for almost a year my body is most likely bone now. I used to live in this village. My body is in the forest you have to go through to get here. As you saw I was still by a river." "OK well I will do my best. What is your name?" "Oh you probably don't remember me but that's ok. My name is Tenasia. I went by Ten-Ten." Then I had a surprised face cause I recognized that name. "Your not Tax's Ten Ten?" "Yeah I am. I'm glad you remembered me or should I say I'm sorry now that I am dead." "OK I will call him and he will get help with your body ok? I will meet him alone so you can give him your last words ok?" "Thank you Princess." "NO problem." I rushed back home and went to my room to call Tax. "Hey Tax its Talia. I need to talk to you alone. Come to the palace its urgent." "OK I'll be right there." Then he hung up. "OH anyone who is listening when Tax gets here let him know I will be waiting in the parlor room. Thank you."

About 20 minutes later I heard Tax come in. "Hey Tax. I'll get right down to the point. Now don't be surprised when you hear this but I can see spirits as in dead people. They look normal not how they died. Right now I can see Ten-Ten. She wanted me to tell you she was dead and embarrassed on how she died. She was in a hunting accident when she was drinking water. Her body is still by the river she was drinking. Also I want to get you and your family together so she can say her last words." "Are you serious? Ten-Ten?" "Yes I am. OK is there something that only Ten Ten knows and no one else does?" "Yes we had a secret word when she was in trouble. Ask her what it was." "It was Paladin." "She said it was Paladin." "Its her. Sigh. Does she know who killed her?" I looked at her. "I was out with my friends Tina and her brother Orion. Its not their fault it was an accident. Also I told them not to tell anyone. I want to tell them something as well so have them with Tax when I tell them my last words." "Ok sure. She was out with her friends Tina and Orion. She told them not to tell and that it wasn't their fault. Orion was doing the hunting and Tina was the watcher. She said to have them come over so she can say her last words so she can move on." "I see I will do that. First let me call for some help with her body. Thank you Talia." "No you should be thanking the one who died." "Thank you Ten-Ten." "Hehe he's looking the wrong way." "She is right in front of you." "Thank you Ten-Ten. I'm sorry." Then he made a call to help with the body then called Orion Tina and the rest of his family.

He helped them with Ten-Ten's body and kept it in the morgue until they were ready. I followed Tax back home. I told Lycan to tell everyone who asked I was in the village doing business. "OK will do. Be careful." "Yeah I will." So we walked to the village.

Tax walked to the house and everyone who was supposed to be there was. Tax and I explained the situation. Then their was shock of course grief and guilt. "You said she had something to tell us all right?" Said Tax's wife Sil. "Yes she wants to move on but can't because she wanted to tell you all something. Give me a minute until she can talk. OK they are ready." "Ok I want to talk to my friends first." "Ok what do you want to tell them." "Tell them….Tell them its not their fault and that I moved too quick. I could have been easily mistaken as an animal since I was wearing camouflage clothes. Also to take care of each other and not to fight so much and that I will miss them terribly and I love them." So I translated what she said to them. "We will miss you too Ten-Ten. I am so-so sorry." "I know you are." She kissed his cheek. He was surprised. "Yes that was her." Then she said, "Now my family I am sorry for not telling them. I was too embarrassed. Now they can have closure and move on. Don't grieve too much that goes for my friends as well. Tell my brothers and sisters to take care of each other no matter how much they hate each other." I chuckled. Then she continued. "Tell Tax there is nothing to be sorry about. He took me in when I had no one. I wanted to thank him and Sil. I have a feeling he is sorry that he couldn't protect me. Tell him its not his fault and he did what he could. Tell Sil to watch over Tax he is a trouble maker but he is the kindest man I know. That is how their kids sort of got it. Hehe. Tell them I love them." Then she told them what she said. "Your welcome Ten-Ten. If you see your family on the other side tell them I say hi. We will miss you too. We all love you." "I know. I don't want to leave either but if I stay my spirit won't stay nice it will turn evil." "I will tell him." She gave Tax a kiss on the cheek and whispered thank you. Then she went to Sil and did the same. She went to her brothers and ruffled their hair and her sister she rubbed her cheek. Then last but on least she smacked Tina on the back. "Ok I'm leaving now. Oh and tell them when they cremate my body to spread it on snow mountain. They know where its at." "Yeah so do I." "Wow. So pretty. I see my little brother and my parents." "Go on. Your free now." Then she waved and was gone. Then everyone felt so weird after. More like relief. "She is gone now. She wanted you all to spread her ashes on snow mountain. I will be coming with you. Oh and when she saw the light she saw her parents and little brother. She wanted me to tell you." "Oh good so she reunited with them after all." "Yeah."
