Chapter 30: Elf Palace

Finally I had gotten through to the elf village. I thought maybe I would stop by mom Eve's house. So I headed over there. Once I got there I knocked. (Knock Knock) "Mom. Dad. Its Talia." Then I saw my dad Aragon open the door. "Hi dad. I was on business and decided to visit." "Oh come on in then. Good to see you." "Thanks dad. Where is mom and my brothers?" "Oh your mom is in her garden I will get her. Your brothers will be back in a bit." "Ok thanks Dad. How have you and mom been?" "Oh we've been good." "That's good." Then he left to go get Eve while she looked around for pictures of her brothers and so on. Then a few minutes later mom showed up. "Hi mom." "Hi honey good to see you back." "Hi mom." I gave her a hug. "I was on some business sending Arson home and came by to visit." "Oh I'm going to miss that boy. He is so sweet." "Yeah well he has a girlfriend I'm sure now. There was a girl who went to meet him before I left." "Oh well good for him." So we talked a bit and with dad too then my brothers finally showed up I said hi and chatted with them for awhile then decided to head home.

"Well I best be going. I will come by and visit again soon." "OK be safe." "I will bye." So I walked back home. I finally made it back to the castle and I saw Jay waiting for me with the baby. "Hi honey. Hi Aria." "Talia something happened to Kida over there. She is fine now but she almost died." "Oh my gosh! What happened?" "She said she wanted to tell you when they got home." "OK that's fine. As long as all of them are fine. Oh I took Arson home. Everyone is still ok." "That's good. I bet it was an interesting welcome wasn't it?" "Yeah his parents squeezed him to where he told them not to break bones one so he could breathe. His brother gave him a hug. If it wasn't for his injuries I'm sure he would have knocked Arson down." "Haha that excited huh?" "Well if you didn't see your sibling for 200 years you would be afraid wouldn't you? That you would never see them again."

"That is true. I would." "Lets go inside now. Its starting to get cold." "Ok sure."

It was getting late and close to bedtime. Just out of curiosity I went to the room that Arson stayed in. I looked around then I saw a letter with my name on it and a wooden figure that looked like me and Jay together. I sat on the bed and opened the letter. It said:

Dear Princess Talia,

Thankyou for all you and Jay have done for me. I would have been trapped forever in that tree if it wasn't for you. Thanks again for that and all you both have taught me. As you saw I made a little wooden figure to look like you and jay as a thank you. I know its not enough. If you ever need anything or any help, call us ok? You helped me so I want to help you. Uh I want to thank you all for excepting someone like me. Thank you for treating me like your son. It meant a lot. Take care of that little girl of yours such a cute thing. Well I don't know what else to say. I wrote your kids letters too so they will see then later.

"Aww such a sweet boy. Your welcome. Any time Arson." I said to myself. Then I brought the letter and figurine back to our room and I showed Jay the letter and figurine. "Hey that's pretty good." "Yeah I'm going to miss him." I said in tears. "I'll miss him too. He's happy now he is back home where he belongs." "Yeah I guess so." "How about next year we move back to the castle." "Sounds good to me. what about a day after Aria's 1rst birthday." "Yeah that's perfect." "Yeah ok sure." "OK its decided." Then we snuggled up and went to sleep.

The next morning back at the elf palace Kida woke up. She sat up feeling a lot better than before. Arion came in to see how she was doing. "Hey sis. How are you feeling?" "Much better after some rest. Can I get up now?" "I think as long as you take it easy you should be fine. Go take a walk in the garden with Lindir for a bit." "OK sounds good. Thanks brother." Then he left and a maid helped her get dressed then I headed out and found Lindir and they walked and talked in the garden for a bit. "Thank you for saving me Kida. If it weren't for you I'd be dead." "Its good. I couldn't have my future husband die before I marry him and have a few precious little ones with him." "Haha aint that the truth. Thanks again. Next time I will try to be a bit more on guard. I had someone go to the person that did that to you since I know who it was." "Oh who was it?" "I can't tell you right now. Once we figure all this out then I will tell you." "Ok sure. I can't wait to move here so its easier to be closer to you." "I know me too. I don't know if you know this but I am part human as well." "Really?" "Yeah I may not look it but my mother was human. My father an elf. I took after dad. You haven't met my little brother yet. Maybe when we have time when you are here we can meet them or next time we meet up." "Yeah sounds good." Then they talked for awhile.

Back at home with Talia. "Oh its good to be home. I'm going to go play my violin in the garden. Jay why don't you get the baby and follow." "Ok sure." So he got the baby and we headed there together.

"Ok what should I play? Oh I know." Then I found a few and started playing. The baby was quiet the whole time listening. Just like my twins were. Then after awhile I stopped and then we went inside to have lunch.

This is now 1 year later. It was getting close to Aria's first birthday. Everyone gathered around. Even mom and my brothers came with dad. I was so happy I cried. Jay hugged me. "You have a big family Talia." "Correction jay. We have a big family." Then Arion came over to me and said, "Mom after awhile I've got an announcement to make." "Ok sure." They had cake icecream and lots of goodies then it was time for Arion's announcement. "Everyone. Can I have your attention please." Then everyone quieted down. "Ok thank you. I would like to thank you all who came to my baby sisters birthday. Also now the announcement. I'm going to be a father. My girlfriend is pregnant. Thank you for listening." Then he stepped down and I went over to him. "Are you really?" "Congrats son." "Thanks dad." The twins came over. "Wow Arion congrats. Let us come babysit sometime." "Yeah sure thing." Now it was time for our announcement. "Everyone can I have your attention please." Everyone quieted down again. "Sorry this is the last announcement. Thank you all for coming to my baby's 1rst birthday. I want to than you all for being my friends and family. I have come for sad news for some of you. We will be moving tomorrow to the elf palace. I will miss you all who are close to this one and from the village here. I will visit once in a while. That is all." Then the party went on and we visited awhile then everyone was leaving. WE said our goodbyes then it was just my family. My twins Jay baby and my siblings. Arion went back with his girlfriend.

"Well are we all packed and ready to go?" "Yeah mom." "Ok then. Lets go spend some time with your uncles and aunt. I will go see dad and mom. "Ok mom." Then they ran to see uncle Lycan. Jay went to hang out with my sister and her husband. "Hello mom and dad." "Hi honey." Said mom. "Well its official we are leaving tomorrow. I'll miss you all." "Oh my daughter." Said mom. "Come here sweet thing." I hugged my mom for awhile and cried. "Ok I think I'm ok now." "I'm sorry I'm acting like a little girl again." "Its ok you'll always be our little girl." Said dad. "Thanks dad." "Well I better go see brother now." "Ok sure." Said dad. So I left.

"Hello brother." Then I visited him and after my sister. My family visited everyone we could. Then it got late and almost bedtime. I made sure the kids were in bed then I got into bed with Jay. "Jay you think we are doing the right thing?" "Hmm. I think so. Are you having second thoughts?" "I don't know. Maybe I'll talk to the other elves there and get their opinion. I've already asked mom and dad." "Ok good idea." Then we went to sleep.

The next morning, we were all up and our stuff was in the wagon. We didn't need to take much because what we needed would be in our rooms already. We just needed to bring our treasures with us. My family here saw us off. "Bye little nephew. I will come by and visit ok?" "I miss you." "Aww I miss you too little man." I gave him a kiss on the forehead. "Bye sis. I'll see you when I can. I love you." "You too sis." Then I went to brother next. Brother congrats on your son again. Be good to Emerald alright?" "Yes sis." "Good. Emerald do your best with my brother. If he bullies you write to me I will beat him up for you." "Haha I will." "Mom. Dad. Thank you for everything. I don't care if you are my uncle and aunt. You raised me as your daughter so you will always be mom and dad to me." "Thank you Talia." said mom. I nodded. Then we got in our carriage and Jay was holding the baby. I turned around until I couldn't see them any more and cried silently.

We finally got there got our suitcases and headed toward the gate where Arion and my family were waiting. "We'll bring your suitcases." Said Arion. "Right grandma?" "Yeah Arion and your two brothers can do it. You two go meet Rin and Lindir. They are waiting for you inside." "Oh ok thanks grandma." Said Kida. So they ran inside and we rolled our eyes. "Mom do you or dad want to hold Aria for a moment?" "Yeah sure lets go inside while we do." "Yes lets." So we walked up to the doors and went in. Once I got in someone wanted to show us our room. "Oh OK sure. I'll see you soon mom. keep the baby for a bit." "Oh ok sure." The butler showed us to our room and we looked around to get situated. "Wow the beds are comfortable." "Yeah they sure are." "Oh lets look at the clothes they have for us." "Oh gorgeous they are all elf style clothing. Beautiful. I've always wanted to try on elf clothes. Lets see yours Jay." "Wow yours is as well. You would look handsome in that. I know lets change. I want to show off our elf outfits." "OK if you say so dear. Pick one out for me." "OK then pick a dress for me." "Sure." "Oh this one for sure." Then we picked the outfits out and we gave each others picks and put them on. I wore an off the shoulder casual dress of course I wore leggings so I didn't show my legs. It was a pretty forest blue dress. I chose a blue one for Jay as well. He wore a blue tunic with brown pants. Then we headed out.

"Hello mom." "Oh hello Talia. My don't you two look dashing. You really do look good in our type of clothes. Perfect. Absolutely stunning." Then the king cam out and said. "I agree. You both look pretty good." "Your Majesty." We both bowed. "Arise both of you. As I said stunning. May I have a word with you both in my office?" "Yes your majesty." I said. We both followed him to the office.

"I see you have changed into one of the outfits we have chosen." "Yes It was my idea." I said shyly. "Well its good. Now for the reason I have called you. How are you and your family settling?" "Well we are doing ok. Are kids will be fine they have Lindir and Rin to show them around." "Your majesty may I speak?" "Yes you may." "Thank you. If there is anything we do not know and if we offend someone because of it. I would feel bad. Is there anything we need to know before we end up living here?" "I see that makes since. I will have Lindir and Rin follow the kids around until they get used to it. I will have Oh I know why don't I have my half brother Aragon show you around. That's perfect." "Ok thank you your majesty." "No problem and if you need any changes to anything to make it comfortable to live here just let us know ok?" "Yes thank you." "Ok I will go talk to my brother now." We Bowed then left. "Oh mom. Are you and dad tired. I can take the baby now." "Oh ok sure." After the king was done talking dad came over to us.

"I know dad. The king told us you will be our guide for awhile." "Are you ok with that Talia?" "Yes of course. Why wouldn't I?" "Ok then I will do my best. We are going to have a ball In a few days to welcome your family." "Oh really? Then it's the best chance for you to teach us what we are doing wrong and what not." "Haha you will be fine I am sure. Just be yourself Talia." "Ok dad. I will try." "Oh look Arion's coming with his son." "Hey little man." Said Jay. You can hold him dad." "Sure." You want to hold your sister?" "Yeah sure." "Hey baby sis. Being good for mommy?" She blew raspberries. "I take that as a no. Haha." "How has work been Arion?" "Well mom its been normal. I just hate my job when I can't save anyone." "I know honey it happens. Your mom never liked that part either." "You told me all about her mom. she was your best friend." "Yes I know. I just miss her. Sometimes. Excuse me. I have to go for a walk. Dad can you take me to the garden?" "Yes sure." I walked with my dad to the garden and told him what was on my mind. "Dad I don't know if what I did is right anymore. I know Arion does the same work that fawn does. I don't want him to end up like her. I'm afraid he will overwork himself like her and die because of it. I just miss her so much I don't know what to do anymore." "It will be ok. In a few days you will feel better and fell normal again. You just moved here today just take your time ok? Why don't you rest in your room or bring your violin out to play didn't you say that helped you calm down?" "Yes thanks dad." We walked back in I went to the room and got my violin. "I'm ok Arion and Jay. I'm going to the garden to play. I will be fine after." "Ok mom. feel better." "I will Arion." Then I left for the garden.

I went to the garden and started playing. I closed my eyes and just started playing songs not caring about anything else. I was twirling like a little girl and moving around sort of dancing a little. Then when I finally knew I calmed down a bit I stopped playing and opened my eyes. I saw my family waiting for me. "Oh excuse me I didn't know you were all here. How long have you been here?" Jay went up to me and said, the moment you started twirling like a little girl." "Oh how embarrassing. I'm fine everyone. I'm ok now. It might take me awhile to get used to this place I promise I will be fine."
