Chapter 23: The Reunion

It was finally the day of the reunion. We were all dressed up in our finest and everyone was here to see us off. "Bye I'll see you all at the end of the week ok?" "By brothers and sister. Hey brother in law take care of my sister she likes to overdue herself." I stuck my tongue out at her. Everyone laughed. "Ok well shall we go now?" We all got in our carriages and left. There were two carriages. One for my father and mother the other for us.

We finally got to the castle which was a ways from the village. My son got out first and helped his sister, then Jay got out and helped me. "Thank you kind sir." "Your welcome madam." We all joked. "OK everyone. I'm sure you greet them with a curtseyed and a bow." "Is that right butlers?" "Yes same custom." "Ok thank you." We walked up to the front and Jay escorted me and the kids just walked next to us. "OK kids here we go remember to smile." "Greetings your majesties." We bowed and curtseyed. "Arise Talia and family." "Welcome to our place princess Talia. Welcome back brother and sister in Law." "Thank you brother." "I will have the maids and a butler show you to your rooms. You must be tired after the journey. "Thank you your majesty." I said. He bowed his head to acknowledge me.

Once I got to my room I was so tired I plopped on the bed. "Haha that tired huh?" "yes of course I am aren't you?" "Not really the only think I do is take care of the kids and do whatever the king or future queen tells me. I also don't have to deal with spirits 24/7." "Ha ha very funny. Oh did we remember my Violin?" "Yes its right here relax." "Oh good. That's a relief. I want to talk to the king later about playing a few songs I like." "I'm sure he will." Not long there was a knock at the door. (Knock Knock) "I'll get it Talia." then he kissed my forehead and went to look. "Oh hello how can I help you?" "The king would like to see you both." "Of course." So we left with the butler and headed to his office.

"Your majesty Princess Talia and prince Jay are here." "Let them in." "Go on in." We bowed and curtseyed. "Rise. Come sit down." "So I hear you are Aragon and Eve's daughter is that correct?" "So I've been told." "I see. Well you are a beauty. Jay you are lucky to have such a beauty as a wife." "Thank you your majesty." "I would like to say personally welcome. I am your uncle. Your father full blooded brother. My name is Estel." "Nice to meet you uncle. May I shake your hand?" "Sure why not." We both shook his hand. "Oh your majesty." "Oh when we are alone or with just family like today you can call me uncle or Estel if you'd like." "Ok sure. I promised my daughter to talk to you about having a boyfriend or an arranged marriage. She has dreamed since she was little to marry an elf kind. Do you by any chance have anyone by the age of 16 or not to far from it. Also maybe a single girl as well? My son really needs one." "Haha yes of course. I think I might have the perfect person for your son and daughter. I will arrange them to meet here in my office of course with you two present." "Thank you so much." "Sure what are families for." "Oh I forgot. I was also talking about moving to the Elf village. Maybe talk to you about moving here if that's ok with you?" "Of course I will have a room ready if you so choose." "Thank you uncle." "No problem. Jay you seem quiet." "Oh sorry about that I just don't want to say the wrong thing I'm full human after all." "Haha its ok. Your family you can say anything." "OK thanks. That's a relief." "OK so lunch will be done soon why don't you get your children and bring them to the dining room." "Yes uncle thank you." He nodded then we left.

"Well that went well." I said. "Yeah I was so nervous back there." Said Jay. "Its ok said it was fine. Let go get the twins for lunch." We went to the rooms which were close to ours and got them to head down.

"Wow the dining room is big." Said Adrian. "No bigger than ours." Said Kida. "OK kids lets go find a place to sit down." "Oh you finally showed up. Your places are with the royalty family. Here these are your places." Said a butler. We sat at our assigned tables and waited until the King made his speech. "Ladies and gentleman! Today we have some very special guests. My niece Princess Talia and her family have finally returned. We want to welcome them home." Everyone clapped. "May I say something your majesty?" "Sure go ahead." "I want to thank you all for welcoming us. I had just recently found out that you are my birth family. I hope you will take good care of us all. Thank you. We are very delighted to be here and finally get to meet all of you at the reunion." "Here here." Said a man. He held up his glass. "Ok I'm done." "OK everyone let the feast begin." "We got our food and started eating.

"So your majesty did you have time and day you will introduce the two to my daughter and son?" "Oh Yes after Lunch I will give her and him time to get ready to meet them. Then meet us in the parlor when we are done with lunch." "Ok thank you. Kida when you and your brother are done, dress in your finest clothes you are going to meet a boy and your brother a girl." "Really? Thank you mom." "Really mom? I guess I will do it for you." "That's my boy." "Mom your embarrassing me. Look at the people watching us." "Oh they just think I'm a good mom. Hehe." "You're a very affectionate mother for a princess." "Thank you sir. I do my best."

After lunch My kids got ready I help Kida and Jay helped Aiden. "Ok ready you two?" "Yeah mom we are ready." So we walked over to the office. "Remember son. The girls are prettier than normal humans so don't be too shocked ok?" "Yeah dad I know." Said Adrian.

"Your Majesty Princess Talia and her kids are here." "Let them in." There were 2 couches. A love seat and a 4 seater. Two extra chairs just in case. "Welcome highnesses and kids. The moment you waited for Kida. This is Lindir he is 18 years old. He would like to get to know you better before he courts you." "Of course he is welcome too." "As for Aiden. This here is Rina she is 16 years old. The same age as both of you. She would like to do the same thing. Get to know you before she courts you." "Sure why not? I'd love to do the same." "Lindir and Rina this is their parents Princess Talia and prince Jay." "Nice to meet you your highnesses." They bowed and curtseyed. "Rise. Its fine. Thank you for willing to get to know our children." "We are the ones who are honored." Said Lindir. Kida blushed. "Well since its not until tomorrow why don't you kids spend some time with each other while I have a word with these people ok?" "Sure." So they walked out with eachother.

"Is there something we should know about the reunion or should we just act normal?" "Oh normal is fine. after all we are family. Arion will be coming tomorrow with Aragon and Eve. Their boys as well." "Oh I can't wait to see them again. I just wish I had a younger sister. I only have older brothers younger brothers and an older sister. Now I need a younger one." "Haha is that so? Well you can take a look at the orphanage and adopt one have her call you sister." "You know what I just might. What do you think Jay?" "Well hold on now. We still have the twins to deal with. Lets talk more before we decide ok?" "Fine be that way." "Haha you really take after your mother. Your mom is the same way. Sometimes they come to visit she still acts like that after 54 years." "Oh gosh. I hope I won't after so many years. Has Eve ever thought about adopting a girl? I know she talked about wanting one." "Oh that. Yes well. Last time I talked to her after she talked to you she went to go look at the orphanage. She said she wanted to go with you next time she went to help her choose." "Oh I would be happy too. I wouldn't mind if you came Jay. Maybe we can bring one home then too." "We will see." "OK why don't you two get some rest. You both look tired. I'll have Arion wake you all up." "OK thank uncle." Then we left to our rooms.

The next morning we got up to get ready for the reunion. There was a knock on our door. (Knock Knock) Jay answered it. "Good morning Arion." "Morning dad and mom. I've already awoken the beast twins." "Hehe ok shall we go then?" "Yes lets all go." So we headed towards the ball room where everyone was. I found my uncle Estel and asked him if I can perform with my violin later. He agreed. Then he said, "Ladies and Gentleman today we celebrate family. Ones we haven't seen in years others first time meeting. Yet they are family. Later we will have a special performance with Princess Talia and her two kids. I hope you will stay for that. Now we may begin the reunion." "So uncle where is your wife?" "Oh she's around." "Do you have any kids?" "Yes as a mater of fact I do. A girl and a boy. Let me see if I can find them. Oh here they are." "Kids wife. This is Princess Talia my niece. Aragon and Eve's daughter." "Nice to meet you your highnesses." "Nice to meet you too cousins. What might your names be?" "Oh for us for not introducing ourselves. My name is Ave." Said the man. The girls said, "My Name is Livi." "Nice to meet you Livi." "You too Talia." "Oh is Eve here somewhere?" "Yes she is but you might want to fine Arion first. He wanted to introduce someone to you." "oh ok thanks uncle."

We found Arion. "Hello Arion. Who might this pretty lady be?" "Hi mom. This is Elvinia the girl I told you about." "Oh well welcome to the family. I'm Talia this is my husband Jay." "Nice to meet you your highnesses." "Please we are all family here no need." "Take good care of him." "Hehe I will and thanks for welcoming me." "No problem. Oh Arion before you go have you seen eve and her family?" "Eve and Aragon are in the back somewhere I'll help you find them." "Please thank you." So Jay and I followed Elvinia and Arion to the back and we finally found the family there. "Thanks Arion." "NO problem mom. Can't wait for yours and the twins concert." "Yeah wish us luck. We need it." "Good luck mom." "Thanks Arion." Once they left I patted Eve on the shoulder.

"Oh hello Talia. Good to see you again." "You too. The boys as well."

After awhile it was time for me and the kids to go up. I gave them the songs in order of how we will play them. Then the king announced us. "Ladies and Gentleman. Now is the time for our special performance please get comfortable." Then he said, "Begin when you are ready." "Yes sir." My daughter played shell flute and my son piano. Then I started first on the first verse the second my daughter the 3 my son the chorus all of us as well as the last verse. We played 3 songs then finally the last. "Wait a second on the last song I want to say something." "Hello everyone. Are you enjoying the performance so far?" Everyone clapped. "OK so this last song was my friend who was an elf passed away. Her name was Fawn this was her favorite song. Please enjoy it." I looked at the kids they nodded. I started then the kids joined in. Once we finished we said, "Thank you all for listening." Then we bowed. Everyone clapped. We walked down and greeted everyone once we put the instruments away in the cases. Then the kids went back to their dates. I went back to visiting with Eve and Aragon's family. "So how did you like it?" "It was wonderful. So this Fawn girl. Is she Arion's mother?" "Yes she was. She died when he was a year old almost 2. I didn't know about him until her death. She made me his godmother I had mom and dad to help. Luckily I was already 22 at the time. Not long after he turned 2 I had my twins." "Oh I see. It must have been hard for you too huh?" "Yeah I managed." "So tell me Jay how did you too meet?" We both blushed. "Eve come on now. That's not something you should ask." Said Aragon. "Its ok Aragon. I will tell it." I said. "Well I left at 18 years old to drop off a letter in person to the Evans family. That's Jay's family. I was captured before I could make it. it was 4 years before I was able to escape. Then once I got to the forest where the Evans lived I got knocked out by a horse. I don't know how many days I had been there before his little brother found me. When I woke up I was scared and Jay was there to try to calm me down. Luckily his mother and siblings were there too. After that they helped me out until my memory came back. Yes I lost my memory. Since I could talk to animals my trusty friend Elsa who I gave to Arion to help out here for the time being helped me figure out who I was and I got my memory back. It was an adventure back and many troubles along the way but every time I woke up Jay was there and since then we were in love and eventually got married." "Aww what a romantic story." Said Eve. "More romantic than ours." "Hey now. Maybe it is but you don't need to say it out loud." Said Aragon. Then everyone laughed.

Finally the week of the reunion ended. It was time to go home. "Oh before you go home, I need to talk to Kida about the camp." "Oh yeah." "Go ahead." So she went alone with my uncle. "So son. Did you have fun? Did you like her?" "Mom. Ok fine yes I like her ok? We have a lot in common. I think someday I might even want to marry her." "Good for you Aiden. Oh by the way good job on that part on the last song you had trouble on. You managed it. Proud of you son." "Thanks mom." Then we saw Kida coming out and we boarded the carriages. We waved and went home. On the way home I felt sick. I actually felt it yesterday and didn't think anything of it until today when it decided to get worse.
