Chapter 18: Telling the Family

"OK lets wait for your brother to come back and see how long he will be." Poor Jay looked so worried about me. He even felt my forehead to see if I had a fever. "I'm fine Jay. Really I'm just tired and fatigued that's all." Then finally there was a knock on the parlor door. (Knock knock) Then Lycan and the princess came over. "Hey you two. So how long is the talk going to be?" "You can go ahead on home with her Jay. He says it would take at least a day. I will be home in the next 2 days ok Talia? Let dad know." "OK I will. See you later brother. Oh and princess. Sorry I couldn't stay an extra week." "Its fine. Its for you and your child's health." "Hmm. Thanks. When are we leaving?" "We should leave soon. Lycan can you have someone pack her things?" "Sure jay." He and the princess left to get someone to help pack her things.

A few minutes later my stuff was packed and put in the wagon. "Ok your stuff is in the wagon shall we go?" said Jay. I nodded. "Oh and Elsa will be following us for safety reasons." "Got it." Once we got outside I whistled for Elsa and she came down and knew we were leaving.

Jay helped me into the carriage. Once I sat down I felt relieved I almost fell asleep. "Its ok you can sleep. We won't be home until tomorrow." "OK." So I leaned On jay's shoulder and fell asleep.

A day later we made it to the palace safe and sound. I made sure to talk to Elsa before she flew off. "Hey Elsa. Thanks for today. Oh and sorry about all those people not understanding." "Haha its understandable. I won't hold a grudge." "Good. OK well I better get inside. Have fun out there Elsa." She flew off. Jay and I went to the castle gate and the guards opened it for us then we passed the garden and went inside. Father and mother greeted us. I curtseyed back. "Hey mom and dad. Where are big sister and little brother?" "I'll go get them sir." Said a butler. "Yes please. Send them to the parlor." "Yes sir."

Jay helped me to the parlor and sat me down. I had to lay on his lap cause I couldn't sit up anymore. "Are you feeling ok?" said mom. I saw mom and dad's worried face. "Yes I will tell you the news once little brother and big sister get here." Finally awhile later they finally came in with a worried expression. "I'm fine you too. Don't worry. OK now that everyone is here, I have some exciting and shocking news." "OK what is it?" "I'm pregnant. I'm going to have a baby." Everyone had a surprised face. "Congrats sister." Said my little brother. "Yes congrats." Said my big sis. "How far along are you." Said mom. "Well about a month. So I was pregnant before I got married. Sorry dad." "Its ok. At least you weren't a teenager before you got there. I'm happy for you both congratulations. Take good care of her Jay." "Yes your majesty." "Oh dad. Lycan said he would be staying at the spring castle for a day. That means he will be here in another 2 days." "Ok that's fine. thanks for letting me know." Then we talked a bit then it was time for everyone to leave. "OK well lets go. You missy get some sleep ok?" said dad. "Yes father. I'll do my best." So Jay helped me up and took me to my room.

"Ok lay down here. I'll cover you up." "OK." I let him cover me up. "I'll get someone to get a doctor to check on you." I nodded. SO he left for only a few minutes then came back. "Ok I'm back." When he went in he saw that Talia was sleeping. He kissed her head. Ran his fingers through her hair. "Thank you Talia. For getting pregnant with our little one." He whispered. Then he noticed she smiled. It made him smile back. The doctor finally showed up. "She is asleep should I wake her up doc?" "No its fine. I'll examine her while she is asleep. I don't have to do much." "Yes sir." He checker her pulse, took her temperature. "How is she?" "She is indeed pregnant. The doctor there was right on all accounts including how far along she was. I will prescribe her some medicine to help the fetus and the mother grow stronger." "Yes sir." After he wrote down the instructions he said, "When she wakes up let me know." "Yes sir." But before the doctor can leave Talia was waking up and jay stopped him. "Wait a minute doctor. Looks like she is waking up now." "Oh well perfect timing then. Hello princess. How are you feeling?" "Oh doctor. I'm feeling tired mostly." "Have you noticed any spotting?" "No I haven't." "That's good then. It means the Fetus is fine then. Your husband has the prescription for your medicine I am going to give you to help the fetus grow big and strong. You as well." "Yes doctor. How often should I see you?" "Well unless there is any problem I will check up on you once a month until your 28 week. Then from 28 to 36 weeks twice a week and from then on it will be 1 time every week." "Yes sir." "Remember your first trimester is your most cruicial." "Yes sir thank you." "OK since this was your first I will see you again next month unless there are problems." "Thank you." "Its my job." Then he picked up his stuff and left. "Hey Jay?" "Yes what is it? Are you ok?" "I'm fine. I want to visit Fawn's mom and grandma. Its too far to walk can you send a message to them to come here and visit?" "Yes of course. I'll do that now." He sat at my desk and wrote on my paper with a pen then folded it up and put it in an envelope. "Ok should I send this to Elsa?" "Yeah you know the whistle right?" "Yeah I'll do it right now." I closed my ears so he could whistle then I uncovered them and heard her wings. "Oh Prince Jay. How can I help you?" Even though he couldn't understand her he said, "Take this to Fawns mom and grandma." "Yes your highness. Princess how do you feel?" "I feel fine. Just tired." Then she flew off.

Fawn's mom got the letter since she knew Elsa. "Tell her we are on our way." Then Elsa flew off to tell Talia. "Mom we are needed at the palace. Princess Talia has some news she wants to tell us." "All right. Lets go."

Back in Talia's room. "Oh have you told you mom yet?" "Oh I wrote her a letter when we were at the spring palace. Hopefully she will be coming today I didn't get a response." "OK good." About 20 minutes later there was a Knock on the door. (Knock Knock) "Come in." said Jay. "Oh mom and grandma. Thanks for coming. Please sit down." So they both sat down and mom said, "SO you have news for us?" "Yes I do. Its about myself. I am pregnant." "What? Your pregnant? Congrats princess." Said mom. Grandma was happy for me too. "I am 1 month pregnant. So I got pregnant before the wedding but dad didn't give me a hard time. He was thankful I didn't get pregnant any younger." "I would say so. You are only 22 going on 23 right?" "Yes that's right. I will have my birthday before the baby is born though. Like halfway through." "Oh well congrats then. Where is Arion?" "Oh he's off playing with auntie Azura and uncle Onyx." "Oh ok well thanks for telling us. Is there a chance we can visit him?" "Yes of course. Jay can you find them for me and take them to see him?" "Yes I will do that. Get some rest until then ok?" "Yes thank you." Then I was alone so I fell asleep pretty quick.

Finally Jay came back and said, "Mom is here with Keyon and Yahiko." "Oh also my sister Zee heard about it and she is on her way too. She will be coming with them." "Have them come in here. I can't even sit up right now." "OK then." SO he went out to meet them and escorted them to Talia's room.

"Hey mom and siblings." "Hey Princess. How are you feeling?" said Keyon. "I'm fine. I have some news to tell you. Can you tell them Jay. I'm sleepy." "Yeah I will." "She is pregnant. WE are expecting a baby." "Really?" said Yahiko excitedly. "Haha yeah brother really. She is already a month along. I know what you are going to say mom the king didn't make a big deal out of it so its fine." "I see well congratulations you two." Said mom. "Yeah big brother congrats." Said Keyon. "I wish dad were here to tell him. Ha." Said Jay. "Actually you can. Remember what I told you Jay. If you me an Arion come as long as we have Arion we can go in. Just us though anyone else they will get stuck other than Lycan. Since he has the necklace." "I see that's cool. Lets wait until your first trimester is over then we can go ok?" "Hehe yeah. Plus we have a birthday to get ready for. Arion's second birthday." "Oh yeah. His birthday is next month." Then we chatted for awhile and mom said, "Ok you two. We will be staying here for a few days if you need us." "OK mom." I said. "I have 3 moms. My mom fawn's mom and Jay's mom. I have only 1 dad. Ha. Everyone had left and that's when I sighed. "What is it Talia?" said Jay worriedly. "Oh nothing. Its just that Arion and our future child in here will have all these grandma's but only 1 grandpa. I feel bad." Jay hugged me to comfort me and said, "Its ok Talia. He will still have me his daddy plus who knows in the future we can meet another few old guys and consider them grandpa's." "Yeah I guess so but its not the same." "I know. It will be fine."

"I'm glad that Fawn's mom and grandma were able to come. I miss visiting them. sigh." "Hey you can visit them any time. Just make sure you tell someone ok? But before you can you need to get through your first trimester. The doctor said it is the most crucial." "I know and I will." Then I gave him a hug and he hugged me back.

That night we were getting ready for bed. I was so tired that night and didn't want a bath so I just went to bed. Jay looked worried. "Are you ok Talia?" "Yeah I'm fine. Just a little tired. This little fella is making mommy sick. He's still as tiny as an apple seed. Hehe." "Well apple seed or not. That little fella needs to give mommy a break. You hear that in there? Daddy doesn't want you giving mommy a hard time." Then they laughed together and laid down to sleep.

The next morning, I decided to go out and go for a walk in the garden. "Hmm. Fresh air feels nice." I said. "Yeah it does." Said a mysterious voice. "Hello? Who is there?" "Look beside you to your right." said the voice. I looked beside me and didn't see anything. "Look in the flowers. We flowers are talking to you." "What? How am I able to talk to flowers? I thought I could only talk to animals." "Hehe its ok princess. We have been watching you since little. The gift probably came now since you are pregnant. There are sometimes gifts people have that they find out later in life. Certain things like pregnancy or something else happens that brings out that part of them." "Hmm. I wonder then if this is the last gift I will have? I hope so unless I get the gift of playing my violin and making things happen that would be a miracle. So may I ask your name pretty flower?" "Oh excuse me. My name Is scarlet. Nice to meet you princess." "Nice to meet you all too. Will I be able to talk to all flowers or just you?" "I'm sure its all the flowers in the garden." "OK well I better finish my walk. I will see you all soon." "Yes please." Then I took my walk in the garden and sat down for a bit. Sigh. "Hello princess." Said a mysterious man voice. I turned around and looked at the flower. "Oh it must be you mr. Flower." "Yes sorry to startle you." "Oh no its ok. What shall I call you?" "Call me bud." "OK bud. Why am I hearing voices of flowers and who do I get all these gifts from? I am so confused." "Relax princess. Your pregnant its bad for the baby." "Sorry bud." "Its fine. Oh here comes your brother. Talk later."

"Hey brother." "Hey little sis. I saw you in the garden. How are you feeling?" said Lycan. "I feel confused and emotional right now." "What are you confused about?" Then I told him my new gift and others I might have in the future and not knowing if I would have more. "I see. Well I'm not your blood so I wouldn't know. Hmm. I know why don't you ask mother or father? They might know something. If they don't maybe the elders will." "Thanks brother. I will stay out here a little longer to get some fresh air and ask." "Ok sister. Just be careful ok?" "Yes brother." "Protect her well." He said to my female body guard. "Yes your highness."

A few minutes later I wanted to get up and head to the palace. My but hurt so much from sitting I couldn't for a moment. My body guard helped me up and walked back with me.

We go inside and I decided to look for my father. "Oh hey mom. Can I ask you a question?" "Sure honey what is it?" "Well if you don't know anything I hope father will can we go to the music room since its soundproof?" "Sure lets go."

"Ok so what is it dear?" Then I told her about my new gift and what I told Lycan. "I see well I have heard of someone in your fathers family that may have some of those gifts but she died before you were born." "Ok do you know where dad is?" "Hmm he was supposed to be here but maybe we just missed him." "Ok thanks mom." Then I went to go look for my dad.

"Excuse me. Have you seen my father anywhere?" "Yes he got an urgent call. He had to go out for a bit. He should be back soon." "Oh ok. Sigh. When he gets back let him know I will be waiting in his office." "Yes your highness."
