Chapter 15: A day out with Sister

"Mom." Said Fawns mom in tears. "What is it honey did that husband of yours fight with you again?" "No mom. He's dead. He and my son our dead. They were murdered." "Well I did tell you not to go in that line of work. I'm sorry honey. Oh we have a guest. Hello there miss." "Oh hello." "Mom this is princess Talia she was Fawns best friend like sisters." "Oh I see well thank your for being Fawn's friend what brings you here?" Then I told her about my gift and told them both why I was here. "I see. Well please go ahead." I turned to look at

Fawn and had a surprised face. "Fawn look behind you." "What? Why?" She slowly looked behind her and saw her father and baby brother. "Its ok Fawn. I will talk about it after you do yours. "OK dad." "What is it Talia?" "Um your husband is here too he is holding your son." She put her hand over her mouth. "Talia is going to talk first then she will wait for her father and brother to be done and go in together." They nodded. "Ok Fawn what do you want to tell her?" Then she talked to me and repeated. "She said she was sorry for hiding her son from you. She felt bad for not telling you because you wouldn't like the father. He found out he was sick after she got pregnant and died shortly after. She had been dating him for 4 years. She knew what kind of work you were in and that is another reason she didn't want to tell you and also the reason she couldn't make you the guardian. This is her son. His name is Arion." "I see so she named him Arion. She always liked the name." said her grandma. "She said to tell grandma I'm sorry I couldn't live a long life like she wanted. At least she got to die trying to save someone." "Its ok honey. I just want you to be at peace now and not to hurt." Said Grandma. "She said she loves you both and will miss you." "We will miss you all too. OK now she is going to let her dad go next. He gave the baby to her. He says I'm sorry honey I tried to save our son. When I saw the sword I jumped in front of the baby but the sword went through us both. The man who did it you would be surprised. It was your cousin Sulio." "What? Why would he?..." Then she remembered. "I will go find him." "Your husband is saying no. If you do he will kill you too. He wants you to be happy. He said live for our son that didn't get to grow up. Be a mom and eventually a grandma for someone Else that never got that chance. Even if you have to take someone in. Also he wants you to quit the job." "You know the consequences of quitting right?" "Yes but isn't it worth it to live a peaceful life honey?" I looked over and saw them getting ready to leave. "They are getting ready to leave." I told them. Then I saw her husband but his arms around her neck and kiss her cheek. She felt it. She looked at me and I nodded. Then he kissed grandma's cheek. I nodded to her too. Then Fawn gave her mom a kiss and pat on the shoulder and did the same to grandma. "Tell her we love her and that we will tell our son about her." "I will." Then they left. "They are gone." I said. "Should I leave and let you too mourn for her?" "You are welcome to stay you were like a sister to her." "Well I have things to do and have to get this little one back." "Ok well if you want. Just know you are welcome here anytime. Oh and call me grandma." "Oh grandma. Thank you." Then I left with the baby on my horse.

"I'm back everyone." I saw Jay walking back. "Woah what happened? You don't look so good." "I'm fine. I just need some rest." "OK get some rest. I got the little guy. We'll walk you to your room." "Yeah sure." I said in a tired tone.

We finally got to my room he made sure I got on the bed ok. Then covered me up. "OK I'll come check on you in a couple of hours ok?" I nodded then feel asleep or so I thought my eyes were closed but I couldn't sleep peacefully. Someone walked by Talia's door and heard some noise. They Knocked (Knock Knock) "Who is it?" "Its your brother and sister." "Come in." "We heard from Jay that you didn't look so good are you ok?" "No I'm not ok." I hugged both my brothers and my big sister. "What happened? You were only supposed to tell them about Fawn right?" I nodded. "Then what happened?" I tried to tell them without crying. I took a deep breath and told them about her brother and father. "Oh I see. That's too bad. I can't believe her mothers cousin would kill his own family." Said Azura. "Well when I told her about it she paused. She might know something that's why she is most likely going to go. She told her husband she wouldn't but told him that so he could move on. She may be in danger and there is no way we can help her." "Sometimes life is cruel but there are also blessings. Look we have a little one in the family now thanks to Fawn. He will have a mother and a father. If he still lived in the village he wouldn't have a father but father figures." "Its not the same. If I were in Arion's situation when I grew up I would feel different. I wouldn't blame him if he disowned us in the future Or wanted to go back and live where he was born. I am having trouble sleeping because of their deaths. Every time I close my eyes I remember seeing their sprirts and knowing I won't see them again. I just can't believe they are gone. Sometimes I wish I never had this gift. The only gift I ever wished to have was talking to animals and had a singing voice everyone loved and magical things happen. But I don't I have to have a gift that sees dead people I have to tell people their loved ones are dead and tell them their last words. Its just not fair." "I know sister." Said Lycan. "You'll be ok. Hey I have an idea. Why don't You, Jay, and the baby go on a trip to one of the season palaces. You said you are good friends with the spring princess right?" "Yeah I am. You are going to be engaged soon right?" "Well we will see how it goes. I hope so." "OK I'll give them a call but it would have to be after the wedding If I don't get any sleep I might have to postpone the wedding for a bit." "Hmm oh wait a second. What do you usually do to calm down? Other than hurting youself In the forest." "Well I usually like to take a walk in the garden or someone usually does stuff with me to cheer me up." Then Lycan looked at my sister. "What do you think Azura? Think you can cheer sister up?" "I think I might know a way. First we need to get some maids to get this face cleaned up." "OK brothers shew I'm going to cheer this girl up." So they left and my big sister got the best maids and saw my face.

"Ok we know just what to do." Said one of the maid. They took me to the palace bath. I rarely use it. I noticed they put some herbs in it for me it smells nice. Its relaxing. "Ahh. This feels good." "How are you feeling princess?" said a maid. "I'm feeling great right now." Then after the bath they took me to my room got me dressed. "Where am I going?" "Your sister said it was a surprise." My sister picked out a dress for me already and waited for me outside my door. I noticed it was commoner clothes. .Since my hair was short there was nothing they could do. They just put a scarf on my head to hide my hair. "Ok are we done yet?" "Ok done." One of the maids told my sis they were done and she approved. "OK sis lets go."

My sister took me out to the village. I was wondering what she had planned. Then I saw her taking me to a dress shop. "Mrs. Tune we are here." Said Azura. "Oh princess's welcome." "Shh. We are in diquise. You know how popular she is now." Azure whispered. "Oh sorry. Right this way." She took us in the back and I looked at the dresses. "Uh sis. My wedding isn't for another couple of months." "Yes but it takes time to make the dress right Mrs. Tune." Said Azura. "Yes right. In order to get the dress done I at least need until the day before your wedding." "Oh my I better get it done now right?" "Yes certainly. I have a few ideas just to get an idea of the style then we can pick out from the catalogue what you want on it." "Actually do you know who made mom's dress?" "Yes it was my father but he passed away 2 years ago. Do you like the style or the design on it. I can get my fathers notes." "Yes please. The style is ok. I'm more into the pattern on it. Its beautiful." "I'm sure we can do something. Lets get an idea of the style of dress then." So I tried on a lot of dresses and was about to give up when I saw one in the corner. "Excuse me Mrs. Tune. But what is that dress?" "Oh this dress. It's the last one my father ever made. I usually don't have anyone try it on but would you like too?" "Yes of course." So she took me to the fitting room. I tried it on I loved it. They style everything." It was a v neck wedding dress that had a seem on top like sleeping beauty and it was an off the shoulder dress. It was an A-line dress with embroidery of ice blue vines on it. It looked like vines were coming out of me. Love all of it. Are you sure you will make it in time?" "Of course princess. Lets see how this fits first." She looked around to see how much space left she needed. "OK well I will definitely have this done it time." We went out when we were done. We would pay her when we saw the dress. That is how it works here.

My sister took me to eat at the stalls. I haven't been able to eat here for awhile since I have been engaged. "Mm. So good. I wish Fawn could be here with me." "I know sis. I'm sure they are watching us from above right now." I looked up and said, "Are you fawn? Are you watching me right now at how pathetic I look?" "Come on now. She wouldn't want you to be this way. Now lets go." "Where are we going now?" "You'll see." "Oh here we are." "Oh hello welcome customers I have been expecting you." He knew who we were. He was just keeping a low profile for us. "Right this way." So he showed us to the back and I saw all the jewelry. "Wow! So pretty. My favorite colors too! Fawns as well?" "You'll be ok just deal." "I'll do my best." Well they are all my style. The necklaces are simple as well as the bracelets.

I picked out a few I would like and a few Fawn would like. "Thank you sir." Then we paid and decided to rest on the park bench. "So little sis how do you feel now?" "Sigh well a little better. Thanks sis." "Your welcome. What about being able to play your instrument? You haven't played since well since you came back actually. Do you even remember what it is you even played?" "Hehe Oh sis. My memory isn't that bad. As for playing it. Well I will have to see if I remember in the music room where its sound proof so I don't hurt anyone's ears if I am bad." "Hehe oh sis. Come here." My big sis hugged me. I closed my eyes and started to relax. "Hey sis. I think that as long as I have someone by my side weather its you or jay or anyone else we love. I will be able to get through anything. As long as there are people out there who love me." "Oh sis. Everyone loves you." "I know. Its just that I won't be able to take a nap unless someone is with me for awhile." "Oh I see. Well we are supposed to be spending the day together. So want to go home and take one? I will lay next to you." "Yeah thanks sis." So we went back home I ran into my brothers. "Oh hey brother. Sister is going to take a nap with me for awhile." "Oh good. Get some sleep ok? Its been hard on you." "Thanks brothers see you later." Then we went up stairs I put my stuff away laid down and went to sleep right when my sisters head hit the pillow I knew she was there.

Two hours later I woke up. I saw my sister still sleeping. I giggled quietly. "She must have tired herself out to make me happy. Thanks sis." I whispered. Then kissed her on the cheek. I went over to my desk and wrote a message to the spring princess. When I was done my sister had woken up. "Oh good morning sis." "Well more like evening but we'll go with that. How are you feeling?" "Much better." "Well you look better. What have you got there?" "Oh I was going to whistle for Elsa. I didn't want to wake you." "Oh thanks." So I put my head out my window and whistled. I saw Elsa not far. "Hello princess what can I do for you?" "Take this letter to the spring princess for me. Its not urgent." "Ok will do. I will be back when I can." "Thank you." Then she flew off and I said, "Sis I want to go to the music room. I want to try playing the Violin." "Really? You want to try again?" "Yes I think I do." Then she hugged me tight. "I'm so glad. It cheered you up when you had a fight with someone in the castle hopefully it will help you with this." "I hope so."

We went to the music room and I saw my beautiful snowflake violin it was black with a blue drop and some snowflakes dropping down. I named my violin Storm it was written on the black part in white cursive writing. I hesitated for a little bit and took it. I sat on the stool where I used to sit to play it. I looked at the music that was on the stand. I looked for the song I wanted to play at a time like this. "Oh here it is. I see you haven't touched this." "NO we left it for you for when you returned. Mom and dad said not to touch your violin or your stool and stand." "I see. Well here it goes get ready for cover your ears sis." I half joked. Then I started playing the song and was surprisingly not bad. My sister knew I would be fine playing it. At first I was scared then I really got into playing.

Azura left and went to go get her brothers. "Brothers come quick! Talia is playing her Violin!" They all ran to the music room. Talia was so into her violin she didn't notice that Azura even left. Then I started playing a few more songs then decided to take a break. When I did I heard applause. I looked up. "Oh hello everyone." I said being embarrassed. "Did you bring them all here sis?" "No I just brought the brothers but father and mother saw us running and went to see if everyone was ok but when they heard you they decided to stay." "I-I see." "Is Jay still doing the wedding preparations?" "NO they are pretty much all ready taken care of now. Unless you want to decide to talk to brother in law about a special something you might want to do at the wedding?" "Oh I don't think I'm ready for an audience yet." "You know jay I going to want to listen right?" "Yes I know I will tell him and have him listen here. Plus I have at least two months to decide anyway right?" "Hehe yeah you do. Oh speaking of dresses I need to go to the dress shop for something." "I guess we can go tomorrow. I'm going to find Jay." "OK you two have fun." Said Sis.

"Oh Jay there you are." "Oh hey there Talia. How are you feeling now?" "Much better. Uh there is something I need to tell you. Better yet I'll show you. Hey Arion."
