Chapter 10: Enemy Territory

"Dad! Has anyone seen my dad?" "Yes he is in his office." "Thank you." "Your higness prince Lycan is here." "Let him in." "What is it? You look worried about something." "Yes Talia was poisoned again." "What?! Do we know who did it?" "Yes a knight did it. Jay noticed a night at the party looking suspicious." Then Lycan told him the knights name. "Guards!" "Yes your majesty?" Then he told them to get the knight they talked about. The guards knew he was off duty and luckily knew where he hung out.

They arrested the knight and brought him to the king. "Your majesty. What seems to be the problem?" "You know full well what you did? Thank you guards. I got these two here to help." "OK yes I do. I also did it the first time too." Then he noticed the king was getting angry. "Woah there I didn't do it on my own will your majesty. I was ordered to do it." "Who ordered you to do it? who ordered you to poison my daughter?" "Your not going to like it your majesty." "I don't care who is it?" "Its your brother. Prince Thanto's. He said he didn't like Talia that she was an abomination for having the gifts she had." "I see. I'm sorry but I will have to put you in the dungeon until this is all dealt with." "I understand your majesty." So he went willingly showing he didn't do it on his own will.

(Inside Talia's head)

"Hmm. Ow. Why do I always end up getting hurt or sick? Who? Whose there? Hello?" "Oh so you have finally woken up huh?" "You look familiar. Do I know you?" "Hehe you don't remember huh? Well I guess you wouldn't. I am you. I am your past self." "That makes sense. You do look like me. what do you want to tell me? where am I?" "I can only answer 1 question at a time. As for your second question we are in your head. You are asleep. You were poisoned at the party." "I see. I was poisoned again huh? Sigh." "As for your first question. You will find out in a few minutes. The person that will be coming while we are still here will be here shortly. Ah here she is." "NO Ten-Ten? Wait this is her younger self. Its not really her." "Yes that is right. It is her younger self. I won't be telling you anything. She will. Just listen to what she has to say. My job here is finished. I was only supposed to bring her here." Then my past self disappeared. "So what is the lesson you need to teach me?" "Hehe you are spot on there Talia. Yes I am the past self of Ten-Ten. Do you remember when you were my age? We used to hang out the Tina and Orion. It was one of those times you need to remember for the lesson. I'll give you a hint. You didn't know this but Tax had a crush on you. That isn't part of it but I had to tell you. Hehe anyway as for your hint its that time when Tax helped us all up the tree in the clubhouse and we played saving the princess." "Yeah I remember that. We had a lot of fun. Then I got hurt. Oh I get it. that's the lesson. Well thank you past Ten-Ten I'm sorry about your recent self." "Its fine rememeber I am not really her." "Yeah I know." Then she disappeared.

"Hmm. Ow. That girl could be helpful at times. I guess my future self can too. Sigh." I looked at my hand and saw Jay sleeping with his head on my bed and he was in a chair. "Jay. I'm awake." "Hmm. Talia?" "Yes its me." "Talia! How are you feeling are you ok?!" "Relax I'm fine. I have a small headache but I'm all good. I already know what happened. I was poisoned again. Although I don't know who did it." I told your brother about the person acting suspicious at your party. Then he told me everything. "I see. The think is I don't think he did it by himself. He must have been ordered by someone. He is a good man." "Yeah I agree." "Can I see my father?" "Your father is busy right now. Lets wait a bit." "Ok I will take a short nap then go to father." "Ok I'll let him know you want to see him." I nodded then fell asleep.

Jay found one of the knights that knew what the king was up to. "Oh hey. How long will the king be? His daughter woke up and wants to see him?" I will go see stay right here." "Yes sir." So he waited until the knight came back. Finally ten minutes later he came back. "He said he would probably be an hour he would come by her room when he was done." "Ok sounds good." Then Jay went back to Talia's room.

It was getting late. It had been more than an hour. Then Talia and Jay heard a knock on her door. (Knock Knock) "Come in." I said. "Oh father. You're here." "Yes. Sorry it took longer than expected. Did jay tell you what happened?" "Well I knew what happened I just didn't know who did it." "Well it was a knight for sure. He said he was ordered to do it by your uncle Thanto's. I went to him to confirm and it was true. He was jealous of the gifts that you had and wanted to kill you. He is in the dungeon right now along with the knight who did this to you. Separate cells of course." "What are you going to do with the knight daddy. He is usually a good man. He was only following orders." "I know I don't think he will get a harsh punishment but he will be punished. As for my brother well, we haven't decided yet. Since he is royalty we can't kill him sense you are still alive but we are talking about banishment." "Banishment? For how long? What about his wife and kids?" "Like I said we are still talking about it. I will let you know when we find out." "Father I really like his son and daughter. I hang out with them. Also his wife is sweet. She always looks so tired. I'm wondering if its about him?" "I'm sure we will find out at the trial. Thanks for letting me know." "Your welcome dad. I just wanted to see who poisoned me. that's what I wanted to know. How is mom doing? I heard she was sick as well." "Oh she will be fine in a day or 2." "Oh that's good." "How are you feeling?" "I'm good now. I woke up then went to sleep so I can talk to you when I woke up." "I see. Well that is good. I will see you later." "Ok dad. Bye." Then he waved and left. "Jay I'm going to stay in bed the rest of the day. You can go about your things. Its getting late." "OK sure. Want your dinner up here?" "Yes please. Can you and my siblings have dinner with me up here? I feel lonely." "Of course. I will let your brother Lycan know." Then he left.

There were knocks on my door around dinner time and I said come in as usual. Then I saw all my siblings and Jay. "Hi everyone. Thank for coming." "Hey sis. How you feeling?" said Onyx. "I'm doing ok. Just a little fatigued." "His big sis." "Hi Talia. Glad to see you are doing better." "Thanks." Then we ate our food and talked about random stuff then it was time for bed. Not long after they left I fell asleep.

The next morning I felt alive and refreshed. I had the maids put on my normal clothes since I was going to the forest that day and the dungeon. After I was dressed and the maids left I took my chart of the plan and took it down with me.

"Hey there boss. I see the knights are already here. Hello. SO he chose you two. Why am I not surprised. He knows me too well." "He is your brother after all." Said Xadia my person female knight. "That's true. Any way sorry I couldn't come down even if I wanted too." "I heard what happened. Glad your feeling better." "Thanks. Now I changed a few things about the plan." Then I showed him my adjustments and told him a little of why I did that. "Yeah that's fine. Lets just hope he does his job right." "Yeah lets hope. You two got the strategy of the plan?" "Yes your highness. We do." "OK good. SO we leave at 9:00am tomorrow. I have to go see about a bird." Then me and the knights left and I waved to him.

I went to the forest and called Elsa by whistle. She came flying down to me. "Hey how have you been? Its been awhile since I have seen you." "I have been in good health. So what is it you need me to do?" "Oh yeah. I need you to take me somewhere tomorrow. I'm going into enemy territory. The sinister Society." "What? Are you serious?" "Yes I need to stop them from going after the Evan's family. Jay is one of them. I don't want any of my family coming to harm. I talked to my dad and we are working the men we put in the cells. We are only able to take 4 at a time. Plus these two knights." "I see. I suppose that Lycan chose them?" "Hehe you know him well. Yes since he couldn't go since I won the duel I am sure you know that he didn't come but I had to bring you. I will be riding on you and they will have horses. Can you take me and the knights or are their armor too heavy?" "I can take them but that is all I will be able to carry or else it will be too heavy." "Got it. Also you will have a major role in this mission. You will be my messenger bird. I always carry a pen and paper with me." "I figured as much. Lycan is a smart boy. I'm happy he will become king." "Yeah me too. Oh and we will be leaving tomorrow around 9:00am so be at the palace gate then ok?" "Certainly." "Thanks." I walked with the knights back home and told them they would be riding with me on Elsa. They nodded in agreement.

The next day was the day we were leaving. My brothers and everyone were waiting to see me off. "Ok well. I will see you guys when I can. I'll try to be home for Lycan's birthday. Hey Mom Evans. Thanks for everything. Take care of everyone ok? I love all of you here." I ran over to Jay and hugged him. "I'll miss you so much. I'm doing this to protect you and your family." "I know you are. Be careful ok?" "I will." Then I gave him a kiss on the lips then I went to hug my siblings and parents. Then I said goodbye to jay's family then I hopped onto Elsa with the knights and waved. "Lets go everyone." So we were off. "Woah! I forgot it was a rush when we take up and drop down. Its been awhile." "Haha so you want me to keep up with the horses right?" "Yes we do." "Ok then. I will do my best." So we stayed a steady pace with the horses.

It took us quite a few days but we finally made it to our destination. "Ok everyone remember the new plan?" I said. "Yeah lets do it." So I hid and got my bow an arrow ready. Then the boss infiltrated the place with the knights. While all of his men hid. "Hello I am here to see the boss. I am the one he is waiting for. These are my body guards just in case." "Right this way sir." Then the knights followed him to the room where the boss was. "So you are the man we have waited for huh?" "You! What are you doing here?" said the boss. "Oh I am the boss of this place. I am the one who created this organization. You didn't know?" "Brother why? Why are you doing this?" "You ask me why? Are you serious? Do you even know who killed our parents?" "It was an accident. It wasn't on purpose." "That is what they want you to belive." "Ok then who are these people that are supposed to have killed them huh?" "The Evans family. To be precise the one you took in to make weapons." "Are you serious right now? Why would they purposely want to kill them? What do they have to do with our parents?" "Well lets see. Father and mother were in the village to have a special weapon made for them. Mrs. Evans' brother is he head of them so he met up with them. He had his men make the weapon." "So he helped them didn't he?" "Let me finish." "Do you know what the weapon was they asked for?" "No I don't even know why they would need one." "Well they had a magic Sickle and chain. They were going to give it to you." "So what? Did the Sickle and chain have a mind of its own and kill them?" "Hey you are not as dumb as you sound. Little brother. Yes He didn't want to make it but once they made an excuse he made it for them. The demon in the sword possessed father and he killed mom then once he found out he did he killed himself." "That wasn't his fault then. It was our parents fault for asking for it. He was the one who did what they asked. He shouldn't be blamed." "Oh such a Naieve little brother I have." "What can I do to make you not go after them brother. Their eldest son is getting married to the princess Talia. The rest are just kids. Except for Keyon of course but still. Is there any way to make you stop going after them?" "Make our parents come back to life." "You know I can't do that." "Then I am afraid I can't stop going after them."

Meanwhile outside. Talia is happening to see two ghosts. "Hang on. Elsa bring me down." "Guys new plan stay put. My snow bird will protect you." "OK sure. Be careful." I finally caught up with the ghosts.

"Hello. Do you happen to be Boss's parents?" "You can see us?" "Yes I am the only one who can I guess. Your oldest son has gone mad. He is going after the family who made that sickle and chain for you." "Oh dear. Lets go quickly." I went to the door where some guards were. "Excuse me. May I see the boss?" "Who might you be young lady?" "Sorry I didn't introduce myself. I am princess Talia. I think he is expecting me. I have something urgent to tell him." "Lets us confirm."

"Ok go on in. He is expecting you." So I went in and went straight to the office. I knocked on the door. (Knock Knock) "Excuse me may I enter?" "Yes come in. Wow princess your prettier than I imagined. What can I do for you?" I looked around to make sure they were here. I nodded. "Here is the thing. You can believe me or not. But since I was little I had this gift to see ghosts and talk to animals but the ghost one is why I am here. Right now beside me is your parents. They didn't cross over cause they knew you would do something horrible and blame people. If you want proof what is only something you both and your parents know?" "Ask them when happened on the mountain that they wanted us for to keep quiet about." I looked at them and they were shocked. I was shocked as well when I heard about it. "You 4 killed Mr. Evans." "Its true. They are here. Its not what you think though we were defending ourselves. He was going to kill us!" "I am not here to blame you. I am here to tell you what your parents want you to know so they can cross over." "Ok what do they want to tell us." Said the older brother." "They want to tell you what really happened back then. What you heard isn't the whole truth. Yes its true that the Evans boy built the sickle and chain. The truth is that it wasn't magic. They just wanted you to believe it. they said they were on their way home to give the weapon to younger boss but he never told the reason. They were killed before they even got home that day. People were after them for some reason they didn't know. They though maybe it was a mistake in identity." "No it wasn't a mistake in identity. They got who they wanted. Its all my fault mom and dad. I'm so sorry." Said the older boy. Then he continued. "I didn't mean to kill anybody but I was hanging out with some guys there was this couple nearby they got in the way and I was in a rage at the time. They were just passerby's I didn't think anyone would know who it was. I guess they investigated me. they found out who we were. I am so sorry mom and dad." "Oh son. We don't blame you one bit. We know you were always a trouble maker." Then I told them what they said. "Tell the little boss not to blame his big brother. Tell him not to go after the family again. Or even bother looking for the family that killed us." "Its almost time for us to go dear." "Oh right. You go ahead and talk honey." "Tell those kids we love and miss them. I'm not the type to do this but we do. Tell the wife of the man we killed we are sorry. We were only defending ourselves." Then I told the two boys to get close together and both of them hugged them in a group hug. I started crying. Then I smiled. "Mom dad. I promise I won't blame brother. I will do my best to keep him out of trouble but you know how he is." "Yeah anyone would have trouble getting him in line." "Tell them we love them. Oh wow its beautiful. Tell them we see their little sister and their dog." "I will." Then they disappeared.

"Are you boys ok now? Your father wanted me to tell you they both miss you. That they love you. Also your father wanted me to tell you in the light he saw your little sister and your dog." "Dad reunited with Tally. I'm so glad. Tally and Dolly." Said the younger boss. "Tally was our little sister. Dolly was our dog. She was a small lap dog she had long hair hard to groom." "Hehe I bet she was a cutie." "Yeah she was." "So big boss. Are you going to stop going after the Evan's family?" "Well I wasn't able to see them but I got to hear what they wanted to say so I guess so. I also got to know what really happened. Thanks.
