Chapter 33 - U.A. Entrance Exam 2

"Izuku!" The tiny guy with purple balls stuck to his hair said, waving at Izuku.

Izuku looked at the purple balls in the guy's hair and couldn't help but pluck one out, much to his surprise. It was easier to remove than he had anticipated.

"Do I know you?" Izuku asked, playing and stretching the sticky ball out like a slime. Before he could answer, Izuku saw Lin already wanting to scratch the shit out of the guy's clothes as he swiftly dodged away.

Seeing their interaction, Izuku realized who this guy was. He picked Lin up and asked, "Why, of all people, did you choose the guy who looks so useless and punchable?"

"I didn't choose him! Didn't I tell you someone went into the alleyway?" Toga said, pouting. Izuku had to use all of his willpower not to kick Toga in the face right now after seeing her pout with that face.

"One, don't even try to act remotely like you do with that body. Two, why are you here?"

"I was bored," Toga shrugged. "And I want to surprise you," she added. "Did it work?"

"...I'd rather you appear in my room again than this," Izuku admitted honestly. Something tells him that this form of Toga will be his least favorite. "Oh, where did you put the original?"

"Inside a trashcan. He's small so I can actually do that this time," Toga laughed off as she told Izuku of the time. She also wanted to try and see what all the hype about this hero business is, hence the current situation.

Izuku could only pacify Lin as he followed Toga into the test room. Though, he wondered how Lin was able to immediately know it was Toga when she was transformed. He scratched her small forehead as she caught his finger with her paws and stared at her seemingly normal eyes.

'I'll ask her later,' Izuku thought. Since Lin is capable of understanding human speech, it'll be a cinch. But he needed to focus on the exam right now; otherwise, it'd be a big embarrassment if he failed.

Izuku and Toga, who had transformed into Mineta, sat beside each other in a massive auditorium hall filled with hundreds of candidates, whispering amongst themselves.

They had just finished their written exam, and though it was hard, Izuku was confident he'd pass the bare minimum.

"Did you even answer all the questions?" Izuku asked Toga. He knew she had ditched education completely, so he doubts she can get anything near a passing grade.

"Hey! You should know that I'm smarter than I appear!" Toga retaliated. "I'm not some illiterate jerk."

"I never said you were."

"But Lin does!" She said this while pointing to the cat in Izuku's arms, who was mocking Toga with her tongue out. "She's cute at all!"

Izuku patted Lin and hid her stare from Toga's gaze. He has no idea why the two can't just tolerate each other. They weren't even supposed to be here, but here they are, stealing all of Izuku's attention.

"Please excuse me!" From above, a man wearing steel-framed rectangular glasses stood up and pointed at Izuku. "I don't think bringing your house pet into an examination room is permitted, and it is a distracting attitude for all of us! Are you even taking this test seriously?"

The guy looked at Izuku with serious eyes, as if Izuku were questioning his very beliefs. Izuku wonders why his straight, downward brows seem to fit his entire character so well.

Instead of answering, Izuku grabbed Lin by the buttocks and air-punched the guy with Lin's paws while meowing in condemn. When dealing with a serious, uptight individual, Izuku preferred to joke around rather than fight them. Agreeing could also work, but this is more fun.

As Toga laughed on his side, the guy looked like he was about to preach another sermon into Izuku. "Relax," Izuku said before he could do so. Pushing too far in this situation won't be good. "I don't just sneak her into U.A. like an idiot. They gave me permission."

Izuku then turned towards Toga (Mineta) and plucked one of her balls out, which immediately grew back, and threw it towards the guy, who caught it with confusion. "Here, play with it so you calm your ass a bit. Being too uptight won't make you a popular hero, you know."

Before he could respond, a tall, slim man with luscious, long blonde hair styled to the heavens walked in, making the entire room gasp in awe. Izuku recognized him as Present Mic, a popular radio presenter and pro-hero from his previous memories.

Before anyone could fully process his appearance, Present Mic already reached to his podium and shouted, "WELCOME ONE AND ALL TO MY LIVE SHOW! EVERYBODY SAY HEY!!!"

"Hey!!!" Izuku and Toga responded, alone among the serious crowd. It appears that not everyone is as eager to enjoy the moment as they are. The two smiling students received plenty of glaring stares, and they were quickly labeled by the crowd.

"I've got shivers hearing your energy! Alright, I'm gonna give you the lowdown on this!" Present Mic pointed at Izuku and Toga before swiftly continuing his explanations.

It was a fairly straightforward "game," as they put it. Destroy 1-3 points robots to gain enough to pass, simple. Izuku then saw the very same uptight guy rise above his seat to ask a clarifying question about the supposed 4th robot.

The fourth type of robot was worth 0 points and was only used as a distraction when things had gotten out of hand or to disperse gathering crowds. Soon after, Present Mic ended his explanation, dispersing the crowds to go to their own areas.

Toga and Izuku were both assigned to the same training area. They went into the dressing room to change into their respective outfits. Izuku was dressed in a loose green hoodie and black sweatpants, carrying his worn-out sword in his right hand, while Lin sat inside the hood of his hoodie.

When Toga checked the bag she stole from the real Mineta to change clothes, she discovered several inappropriate books hidden among the clothes. "You caught a real pervert this time huh," Izuku laughed, thinking what kind of person would bring porn to an entrance exam.

Toga only shrugged as she changed, and they took their time arriving at the massive replica of a city within U.A. Izuku looked around at the massive city in front of him, which appears to be real buildings with real interiors, not just some cheap cardboard cutout.

He recognized several people in his sector. The most prominent is the uptight glasses guy and the multiple-arms mutant. Looking at the various mutants, Izuku wondered how Toga's quirk would work with mutants.

"Are you sure bringing along a small kitten is a good idea?"

Izuku turned around to see a girl about his height with bubbly shoulder-length auburn hair. She had a small patch of red blush on her cheeks that accentuated her big and round eyes.

Izuku didn't rush her away because she appeared genuinely worried about Lin. "Don't worry, Lin will be fine," Izuku said, followed by Lin, who agreed with a meow of her own.

Lin's expressiveness made the girl giggle. "I'm Uraraka Ochaco, you two aren't nervous at all are you?" she said, looking much less tense now that she'd talked with them.

They both shook their head as Izuku said, "There's no need to be. I'm Izuku and this is Mineta, but anyway," Izuku then took Lin and put her into his chest so she won't fall and beckoned Ochacho to walk to the front, "Exam's about to start, I'd want a headstart if I were you,"
