Chapter 13: Perfect time to learn the Eight moon defense techniques

Muffled voices, despite wanting to know what they are saying, I couldn't understand at all. My eyelids feel so heavy but I think I'm awake, my whole body feels like I have been hit by truck kun a few times.

An agonizing gasp left my sore throat through my parted lips, I tried to wiggle my fingers. That was a mistake, bolts of pain raced up my arm "ahhgg" I groaned in pain. A male voice spoke from beside my bed "Your highness are you awake?" he sounded a bit too excited.

I tried my best to lift my heavy eyelids, the headache came to harassed my poor head that already feels like playdough. I gasped out in pain again "My lady I tried my best to heal your wounds with the herbs I have since certain pills will harm non-cultivators.

I gritted my teeth as beads of sweat rolled down from my forehead "g-give pills" I managed to croak out. I took in a sharp breath "it could greatly harm you my lady even cause you to be unable to bear children" the man explained.

My whole body shook from rage and pain "I am well aware" I replied in between agonizing gasps, my whole body shook violently. "Kkkaaggghh" I vomited out blood from what I assume are from some internal wounds.

"Your highness! Alright I'll give you a high-grade healing pill" he sounded panicked, some items were knocked over before he place a pill into my mouth that quickly made its way into my body to began the healing process.

I looked towards my moon essence orb that rotates at a slow paste, every so often string of the refined essence would go throughout my body to help aid the pill in healing my grave wounds. I let myself float around inside my body and notice all of the internal damage that was done, soon enough the pill healed them without a problem.

Finally, I was able to open my heavy eyelids to look at the imperial doctor that has been taking care of me, he bowed his head in respect "I am imperial doctor Shu-Ling your highness" he introduce himself as soon as I could see his face.

He looked to be in his early twenties and quite handsome as well, he has that scholarly air to him. I scoff at him "If your done treating me, I'll have a long journey back home" I pushed myself up on the bed with a scowl from the pain shooting up through my muscles.

Imperial doctor Shu-Ling force me back down onto the bed with a simple push on the shoulder "Your highness I cannot let you leave yet or his imperial highness will punish me" Imperial doctor Shu-Ling smiled apolitically.

"I have to leave today Doctor Shu-Ling, please go and get Sir Lai Shufen" I order him in the politest manner I could muster at the moment. I circulated my moon essence through my body to help ease away the pain. My injuries may be healed but my muscles are still in pain.

"I am certain sir Lai, I have already made up my mind and if I stayed any longer you know how my siblings would react" I replied with downcasted eyes. Lai Shufen sighed "Thanks for healing her highness" imperial doctor Shu-Ling beamed with happiness.

Lai Shufen tosses him a small pouch of coins before leaving with me in a princess carry. That reminds me I can't leave yet I need to get that white jade bracelet back "Sir Lai take me to his highness, one of his daughters took something from my maid" A scowl made way to my almost perfect features.

"Yes, your highness" He changed his direction to the throne room where the emperor would be during this time of the day. His highness Guiying Dishi Hao, notice us almost immediately. A ghost of a smile appears on his pink thin lips "What can I do for the eighth princess of Qaihong?" He asked in a gentle tone.

"Your majesty Guiying Dishi Hao, one of the individuals in the palace took a white jade of mine" I stated plainly. Flames of furry took place in his beautiful orbs "Do you have any evidence of this, princess Qaihong Gho?" He raised an eyebrow at my sudden accusation.

"Cheng Chin!" despite my soft tone I used my moon essence to enhance the hearing range of my voice and soon enough Cheng Chin enter the throne room with her head lowered. Once she stood beside Lai Shufen she stood there stiffly.

"Cheng Chin report on what you told me about my prized white jade bracelet" I order her in a stern tone, Cheng Chin nodded meekly.

"After I finished cleaning her highness white jade bracelet, a princess servant came up to me claiming that I stole her mistress bracelet. I tried to stop the maid from taking her highness bracelet but the maid was ruthless" Cheng Chin explained confidently.

Emperor Guiying Dishi Hao tapped his fingers on his throne armrest in thought "Is there anything on the bracelet that you would know about?" He asked with that flame in his eyes. Cheng Chin nodded "On the inside of the bracelet says. I'll break their bones if they dare strike you, Their attacks will never reach you" Cheng Chin recited the small sentence.

Emperor Guiying Dishi Hao called over a eunuch and wiper into his ear, the eunuch left quickly. Thirty minutes later the eunuch arrived back with all of the princesses who were wearing white jade bracelets.

"Daughters give eunuch Ding your white jade bracelets" He requested in a fatherly tone, the princesses give the eunuch in question their bracelets. The eunuch checked every one of them and gave back all but one.

He walked over to his majesty and presented the bracelet "Lin'er send all of your maids to the discipline palace" Guiying Lin looked at her father in shock, why was he so upset about a white jade bracelet that she took from a lowly maid.

Eunuch Ding gave the bracelet back to me "We hope this won't affect our relationship with the Qaihong empire" Eunuch Ding bowed his head in respect.

"Please excuse us your highness we need to head on the road before Emperor Qaihong assumes the worst" Lai Shufen excused us and left the throne room. As soon as the door slammed shut yelling could be heard from the throne room and sobbing.

A ghost of a smile appeared on my pale pink lips "Sir Lai let's get going" I leaned into him and took a small nap feeling mentally tired. Later after I woke up I took out the Eight moon defense technique.

The carriage ride is going to be long and boring plus it's the best time to learn how exactly this technique works. I open to the first page and began reading through the manual "So, in short, I need to use refined moon qi and form tiny moons of each phase" I muttered under my breath with newfound excitement.

I will practice this when I am alone or when I am with my trusted people, Sir Lai Shufen is trustworthy. Sir Lai Shufen loves the previous owner of this body like a little sister.

"What in the-" I fell forwards by the sudden stop of the horses, I shakily prompt myself up back onto my seat, I open the curtain to start complaining. The scene before me left me baffled, the knights that are escorting me back are being taken out by a single man alone.

Cheng Chin Laid on the ground in a bloody mess, I place my pale hand over my mouth to cover my gasp "Sir Lai?" I called out with fear consuming me. That's when I noticed the soldier that is engaged in combat with the cultivator was none other than Lai Shufen.

His sword is covered in fire qi, he attacks the cultivator with caution "My lady stay in the carriage and don't worry!" Lai Shufen tried to reassure me. I closed the curtain and sat inside the carriage feeling terrified.

"First phase new moon" my refined moon essence shot towards Lai Shufen forming a mini black moon that cast some extra armor onto Lai Shufen. I open my eyes and kept channeling my moon essence onto my loyal knight.
