As soon as Chigiri saw me, he turned his head away, as if guilty of something, whilst I just continued to stare at the trio in boredom.
"Go on." I said, when Isagi and Bachira stopped walking after seeing that I was already using the room.
I mean, I was only drawing in the training room, but still, I had gotten here first, and I guessed that there was just some informal rule about first come first serve or something.
Anyways, they then took the initiative and started warming up, whilst Chigiri walked up to my side.
"How did you know about my knee?" He asked.
"I made sure to pay attention to the strikers in Japan. I knew that you guys would be my competitors one day."
"So you know everything then."
"Yes, and some others might know too. Make sure to prepare your mental state for that."
Hearing this, his face grew ashen, but he quickly gained his composure.
Seeing this, I asked, "Are you really going to keep wallowing in your despair, allowing your insecurities to hold you back?"
"N-no..."
"Because I can assure you that once you conquer your fear, your knee will never be a problem again. So, if you don't trust yourself, take my words for their meaning at least and believe in the little credibility that I have."
And then, silence, as I went back to drawing suddenly, capturing the energized poses of Isagi and Bachira as they prepared for their match.
As the match started Chigiri slid down the wall beside me and sat there, watching the match with me.
We both just sat there in silence, wandering what our relationship was like, whilst also analyzing Bachira and Isagi.
In the end, everything was like the canon, except, when Bachira and Isagi were wiping their bodies with towels, I suddenly voiced out a challenge, a challenge that was heard by everyone in the room.
"Chigiri, would you like to have a go at me?"
