Unexpected Accident II

We all left Alex's room and went into the kitchen to meet Mum. We helped her set the dining and arrange the foods on the table. We all went back to the kitchen and washed our hands before settling down by the table. Mum served each of us pancakes. I decided to eat mine with chocolate syrup," Aunt Amelly, where are my chocolates?" Alex asked after we were done eating and preparing to leave," Oh! Yes, your chocolates," Amelia said, ruminating through her bag for the chocolates, "Here you go," Amelia said, brought out two boxes of chocolates and handed them over to Alex," Thank you," Alex said and gave her a full-blown smile," You are always welcome," Amelia said and blew him a kiss," Goodbye, mum," I said and pecked her cheek," Goodbye Natalie," Amelia said,"Goodbye sweethearts, make sure you study well," mum said and escorted us outside, we waved at her, entered the car and left

 Thank God! Today is not crowded like yesterday where everyone is on the lookout for any approaching car, and also it seems that we came a bit earlier today because Jayden and his friends are not around. Amelia parked the car appropriately, and we got out of the car and went to the hall to our appropriate locker." What are you having this morning," Amelia asked, "I am having English this morning, what about you." I asked her in return," English too," she said as she dropped her bag in the locker and took out her English notes, I took out my English notes too and locked my locker. Amelia took out the lipstick and mirror and reapplied her lipstick, despite the appearance of other students. She is just so daring. I looked at her and shook my head. She was such a drama queen.

 We entered the class which was little disorganized, when we entered everywhere turned silent probably because we contradicted each other, I moved away from the doorway with my head lowered and went to where I sat yesterday which was already secured by Jake, After I sat down and Amelia also found somewhere to seat the class returned to its usual liveliness, "Morning Kitty," Jake greeted and poked my cheek,"Kitty?" I questioned with a frown and swatted his hand away when he tried to ruffle my hair,"yea," he said and smirked at me," where did that come from?" i asked,"I rescued a stray cat yesterday and its expression reminded me of you,"he said," Jake....!!" I called," How could you compare me to a cat," I said pouting, I never saw that coming how could he compare me to a cat," Aww, So adorable," He said pulling my cheeks," Leave me," I said and swatted his hand away angrily," Don't talk to me at all throughout today," I said and faced the window," Who will you talk to me if not me," He said, I looked at him snorted and rolled my eyes," And where does Amelia go?"  For the rest of my class, I had it with Jake rather than Amelia.

 The last class I had before lunch was with Jake, and we proceeded into the cafeteria together. Jake bought me garlic bread and pizza, we engaged each other in discussion," Hi guys," Amelia said drawing a seat out at our table and sat down," Hi," I said, "Hi," Jake greeted too, I looked up from my food and looked up at Amelia, her lipstick is smeared at one corner," who is it again," I asked, and giggled and rubbed away the smeared Lipstickp, anytime her lipstick is smeared I know that she have been kissed by a guy," it is a hot guy, the new one he is my course mate," Amelia said," I wonder how we still remain friends with you always eating a dude face," I said and rolled my eyes at her, "Are you jealous," she said and giggled, I rolled my eyes at her," I told you to bring out the real Melly," she said, I gave her a dirty stare a reminder for her to know what she is going to say," Is there a real Melly and a fake Melly," Jake asked,"You had really like to know,"Amelia replied grudgingly, I glared at her as she stood up to go get her lunch," Is it true this is a fake Melly," Jake asked," Don't mind...," I was about to reply him when my phone rang, I checked the caller ID, and It was mum," Sorry excuse me I have to pick this call, I said to Jake, Mum calling me had to be an emergency, because mum knows better than to call me during class, I stood up to go out and receive the call when Amelia came back," where to?" Amelia asked," Mum is calling,"I said briefly," let me go with you,"Amelia said and dropped the lunch on the table," excuse us,"Amelia said to Jake and dragged me out of the cafeteria,"we ran to the back of the school where there should be probably privacy since we have not been there before, by the time we got there the call has already ended.

  I looked around and was awed by the place. The place is a definition of serenity. There were beautiful flowers spread around in beautiful colors and the smell of nature was so evident in the air," Wow," Amelia said," This is so...," Amelia said short of words,". Fabulous," I completed the statement for her," Yeah," Amelia said," I think I found my favorite place," I said to her," Yeah, it is just so peaceful." How about we go back to what we came here for." Amelia said," Oh! Yeah," I said, coming back to my senses. I called Mum's number back, it rang, and the call ended. I called her back before it was picked,"Hello," I said,"Hello." It was a strange voice of a woman that responded,"Please, Who is this,"I asked?" There is a victim of an accident here, and we needed her family member. So we found your contact in her emergency contact, so please can you come and check on her," The strange voice said," Accident?" I asked. My voice shaking," Yes, I know you might be in shock right now, but you have to pull yourself together and come and check on the patient," the voice said," Yes," I heard myself faintly reply to the voice. The call ended after the woman gave me the address of the hospital that the ambulance rushed her to. A tear slipped from my eyes as I comprehended the fact that mum had just had an accident," What happened?,"Amelia asked and supported me as I was about to fall down. She supported me and rested my back against the peach tree," What happened,"she asked and hugged me,"Mum...," I said, I started crying," it's OK," Amelia said, rubbing soothing circles on my back.

"What happened to mum," Amelia asked me after I calmed down a little."She had an accident," I said. She took a deep breath. I guess she has to be strong for me, "she will be fine," why is my life just so crowded with problems? I thought as tears rolled down my face," Amelia, why is my life just so hard," I said as I started crying, "Take deep breaths," Amelia said as she rubbed my back. I took exaggerated breaths, sniffling in between," You will be fine I promise," Amelia said, "Be optimistic and pray that it is not bad," Amelia said, trying to get me in the positive way, even though we were not sure."Amelia. Mum was involved in a car accident," I said, and I burst into fresh tears, "Melisande!!" Amelia called my name sternly. I looked at her with teary eyes," If you are acting like this, what do you expect Xander to do," Amelia said. I almost forgot I had a brother that was looking up at me. I cleaned my eyes and dried my tears. For Alex, I had to be positive," Let me go and see the Dean to be excused from school for a few days," I said to Amelia," Let me go with you," Amelia said, and helped me away from the tree. We strolled back to school. The school is very quiet. The students have gone back to class. We strolled through the hallway and went upstairs where the staff offices are located. We went to the last block that belonged to the Dean. We knocked on the door that had Dean written on it," Come in," The woman said," Good afternoon ma," We greeted her and bowed respectfully. "Good afternoon dears," she greeted

 The Dean is a middle-aged woman of small stature, she is seated behind the table with a huge lot of documents in front of her, there was a diamond plaque that had her name written on it, Dean Flores willow, she wore golden rim spectacles, she had her brown hair in a professional bun,"How may I help you?" she said removed her spectacles and kept it gently on the table," Ma...," I was about to start introducing myself," Are you the girl on scholarship," she asked and scrutinized me carefully," Yes ma," I replied," How are you dear," she said flashing me a smile," Have a seat," she said, Amelia and I occupied the two chairs in front of her," And she is?" she asked turning to Amelia," My friend, ma," I replied," You can tell me anything, I can sense your discomfort," she said, Immediately she said that I was touched and tears gathered in my eyes.

 I explained everything to her, from how I was called and told her my mum was involved in a car accident," I am sorry to hear that dear," she said. She held my hands over the table making me feel nostalgia because she reminded me of mum," Let me quickly write the leave for you," she said as she pulled out a form and filled and signed it, she handed the form over to me," This will allow you out of the gate," she said," excuse me ma," Amelia said," yes?" The woman said turning to Amelia," I would like to drive her to the hospital since it is a case of emergency, and I don't want to leave her to go alone since she is emotionally unstable," Amelia said," No problem at all dear," Mrs Flores said and write another statement of leave for Amelia. " Thank you ma," I said," you are always welcome dear," she said, we stood up to leave," Goodbye ma," we said bowing respectfully to her," Alright dear, Be strong, okay?" she said as she waved us bye," yes ma," I said reminding myself to be strong.

 We left the office and I closed the door gently behind us. On our way to the garage, I quickly sent a quick text message to Jake briefly explaining what happened to him and almost immediately the message delivered his call entered," where are you," he asked," Garage," I replied almost immediately the call ended. We got to the garage, and we saw him breathing heavily, looking frantically around. The sound of Amelia's heels alerted him of our presence," Mellissande," He called and pulled me into a bear hug, pressing me on his broad chest and silent tears fell from my eyes onto his chest." You will be fine, okay?" he said, held both sides of my head and pecked my forehead, I nodded slowly," I will be fine," I said more like reassuring myself.
