Chapter - 9

"But let me tell you, mister, I don't want to sit next to you. I don't want to see you, talk to you or have anything to do with you. Did you get it?" Lilly Jones spoke up her mind pretty much loudly.

Austin still had a black expression on his face. It wasn't like he didn't feel it, but he was so good at hiding his emotions that his face was unreadable.

"I don't want to be rude since you are new but let me tell you, I came here to study not to entertain you. So please stay as far as possible from me from today onwards. I don't even want to see your shadow. I won't come on your way either. I'm not rude but I can't help but feel irritated whenever I see you." Lilly said so and looked around. Everyone in the class was looking at them including Claire Davis and Billy Hudson. She felt a bit guilty for scolding Austin in front of everyone.

"Have you said enough?" Austin snapped as he got up from his chair and walked up to Clay.

"Can we exchange seats?" He asked gently.

"Of course dude" clay was an easy man. So he exchanged his seat with Austin without hesitation.

'What the...' Lilly felt very awkward. She thought he was the one who planned all this to sit next to her so as to annoy her but he was acting as if she never matters. This was so awkward.

But soon the teacher entered the class and there was no room to be awkward or so.

Austin was not in good mood. Lilly's words had made him remember his past, his family, and how unwanted he was by his own parents. At the thought of all this, his heart sank and his face didn't look happy at all.

Billy Hudson who had been looking at him knew exactly what was wrong with Austin's face and why he was making so cold appearance. Billy felt bad for following his heart and sat with Claire. He somehow felt it was partly because of him that Austin had to get scolded by Lilly.

Claire was guilty too. If she hadn't agreed to let Billy sit by their side this all scene wouldn't have happened. But how can she refuse... Claire looked at Billy once more and saw that he was looking at her too. I couldn't help but feel thousands of butterflies inside her jumping and dancing when her cheeks turned bright pink.

As the day went by, Claire had mixed feelings as she felt guilty when she saw Lilly and so warm when she saw Billy Hudson. So, in the end, she decided to tell Lilly it wasn't Austin's fault today. She really wanted Austin and Lilly to be on good terms because Lilly matters to her and she knew Austin is good friends with Billy as well.

"Austin" Billy cleared his throat and called out for Austin. Austin raised his brows as he entered the cafeteria.

"Uhh... I'm sorry about earlier. Lilly scolded you because of me... It wasn't even your fault sorry" He apologies in a soft tone.

"Ahh... leave that. I've forgotten about that already." Austin stayed on one of the chairs as he continued chattering "By the way what is your scene with that blonde girl in the class? I keep seeing seeking you around her all the time smiling." Austin asked even though he knew the answer himself.

"Ohh... her.... she's Ummm Claire, I think she's really... umm you know beautiful. Her blue eyes... blonde hair... her smile... they're just mesmerizing. Man, she's just amazing you know? I really like her." Billy Hudson explained stammering in excitement.

Austin smiled in answer. He could just see in his eyes how much this guy likes her. He had known this boy who was usually cold and distant around girls... he never thought he would this fantasize about seeing a girl someday.

"Can you be nicer to them?" Billy asked again.

"Them? Who are you referring to?" Austin rose his brows at Billy "You mean Lilly?"

"Yeah..." Billy began to scratch his dithering. "You know they are best friends. SO can you be on good terms with her too? You know it'll make things easier for me too" Billy rubbed his hands in nervousness.

"I got you, bro, I'll be nicer to Claire from here on" Austin winked.

"And Lily...?" Billy mumbled hesitantly.

"Well..." Austin paused for a moment "that wild cat better behave herself. I can't promise you anything." Austin replied quickly and began to order food from the counter.

Billy Hudson said no more. He knew he'll only mess things up if he persuade things. So he kept silent until the hot food arrived at their table.

As they were about to have their lunch, two girls approached them with the tray of food in their hands. They were no other than Ada Miller and her minion Rose.
