<p>It had been a couple of weeks since Ember’s arrival at Donovan Reign’s manor. </p>
<p>During this time, Ember had tried tirelessly to find hints or clues about Donovan’s vampirism, but the only clue she had was that he was unseen during the day. Unfortunately, this was not enough solid evidence. William would argue that many men were busy during the day, only returning to their homes in the evening to eat and sleep. </p>
<p>While Ember agreed, she had a gut feeling that Donovan was hiding something. She just hadn’t figured that out yet. </p>
<p>During the daylight hours when she knew that Donovan wasn’t around, Ember had spent the time exploring the grounds as well as the inside of the manor. The only thing that prevented her from sleuthing too much was the ever-constant presence of Gavin the manservant. </p>
