Chapter 28: More Like Eternal Strife
As a vampire, one would expect Takoda to have adopted a morose and melancholy mentality. However, he was generally the same as he was when he was human. His morals had persisted throughout the centuries and his heart was still full of love and affection for the living creatures that walked the planet with him. So, generally, he was a fairly chipper individual.
Naturally, he was quite loving and sensitive. He sought to find the good in everything around him. He was a patient man even before he was granted eternal life, a change that forced him to cultivate that trait as the life of a vampire is full of waiting. It usually took quite a bit to ruffle his feathers and he prided himself on maintaining a level head in tense situations.
Despite all of this, all of his emotional maturity and the time he had spent reading books about gallant knights and wise women and people just trying to do good in a world that doesn’t always reward morality, seeing Pierre kiss Ophelia was ruining him.
