GINGER HEAD

"Wait, wait, wait!". Selena felt a bit dizzy with all the information she is receiving today. She sighed deeply trying to relax herself. She looked again to the faces of all the people sitting on the long table. She was studying their reactions. But none of them seems to be smiling.

"This is not a prank right?". She said while resting her hands to her waist.

"No my little honey, everything we said was true". Avery said with a warm smile on her lips.

"Wolf?..... Wolves?..... Just like the one who attacked my house?". She wants to make some clarification of what kind of wolf they were talking about.

"That's right, except we are the good wolves and they are the bad ones". Luke answered. He feels a bit restless. His mate seems to be worried about their kinds. He is hoping she won't reject him because of what she just discovered about his clan or it will break his heart.

Selena felt her world just turn upside down. Her male god is a wolf and he wants her to be like him. "You don't eat humans right?". She asked the question that bothers her the most.

"Oh my!". Avery was in shocked she even put her hand to cover her mouth. "Those are the greatest nonsense that came from other humans and old ugly witches tales. Werewolves are the natural guardians of mountains and lands!". There's a big disappointment in Avery's tone.

"My child, when people are scared they always make up stories beyond their imagination not knowing that those kind of stories could hurt other people. Maybe there are bad wolves but there are also good wolves and we are one of the good ones, we don't eat humans we love fried chicken the most". Larry explained gently as if he was talking to a child.

Selena felt embarrassed. She have no other knowledge about Luke's kind except for those movies that always makes them the horrible thing that lurks in the dark. "Sorry.... I really have no idea what kind of life are you living". She can't even look at the eyes of her male god.

Luke was just watching how his Mate is behaving in front of the elders and him. He was amused. 'She really knows how to accept her fault'. He thought. A wide grin appeared on his handsome face.

"Selena honey, we are not bad people. We are just created differently with a different task to fulfill". Avery said seriously while looking at Selena's innocent face. "Would you like to become one of us?".

Selena quickly raised her head after hearing what Avery said. She nod consecutively with a smile on her face.

"Oh, you're such a good girl.... That's why I really really like you!". Avery said grinning. She even send Selena some flying kisses.

"Mother.... Stop loving may mate so much. She's mine!". Luke sounded a bit jealous. He knows how much his mate adores his mother.

"Oh shut it up!". Avery gave her son a dagger look. "You should be thankful that I really like her. Right honey?".

Selena nod consecutively again and Luke just sighed out of defeat.

"Well then. Now that are matters have been resolved and Selena agreed to become one of us. All we need to do is to wait for the full moon". Larry paused and looked at Selena sincerely. "My child starting today we are welcoming you to our family. You will turn on the first full moon. That will be four days from now". Larry said to her.

"Don't worry honey we will be here". Avery said with assurance.

"Thank you so much!". Selena was honestly grateful to Luke's family and all the people inside the room. She feels like she's having another set of family.

Luke walked back to her side and gave her a warm hug. "Don't be scared. I'm always by your side". He said sweetly to her. He want her to feel at ease.

"Will it hurt?". Selena asked suddenly like a child but Luke became silent. She got worried. "I want to see.... How you change". She asked for a demonstration when no answer comes from his mouth.

Luke didn't say a thing. He just grabbed Selena's hand and drag her down out of the meeting room. From the tower they ended up to a clearing. Selena concluded that the place they were standing is a training ground. She can see some adults teaching the younger ones the art of fighting. She saw herself in them back when she was their age. She was once a student of taekwondo and behind her mother's knowledge she also took Muay Thai or the art of eight limbs.

The people stopped and bowed to them then they cleared the field in an instant without any warning.

"Selena... Watch me.... Don't ever take your eyes away from me!". Luke said seriously. This is the first time he got scared from shifting. He never felt so scared in his entire life. If his mate gets frightened and change her mind or worst run away he don't know what he will do.

Luke took off all his clothes only his boxer short was left in his body. A snapping sound is starting to fill the air. His bones sounds like it was breaking all over his body and change is emitting. His face is getting long and turning to a wolf. His body is starting to be covered by fur. In a matter of seconds a giant black wolf emerged. It has a fire of rage in his eyes. From blue it's eyes turned to evening black.

Selena was in gape. The process looks like a torture to her male god. Though it happened so fast but in her eyes she can actually see how he changed from human to a wolf. Every seconds in her eyes is like more than an hour when Luke is shifting.

The wolf in front of her growled. Like he wants to shred her to pieces. There's an emitting power of pressure in him that every wolf can sense. They kneeled before him.

Selena who was still dumbfounded is staring at Luke's wolf. No fear was written on her face except astonishment. "Lucas?". She suddenly called Luke's wolf and she saw his eyes changed from dark to blue.

The wolf's face changed. The rage and authority it has suddenly toned down. The way she called his name put some peace in his heart though both of them were surprised how their mate knows his wolf's name they were still glad. He slowly walked towards her and lowered his head.

Selena raised her hand and touch his face. She felt a connection and a very familiar feeling emerged inside her. She closed her eyes and let her face touch his. Her hands rubs his fur. It was so soft that she don't want to stop.

"MINE". A fainted voice said. She don't know where it comes from but she answered. "Yes OURS".

"Selena!".

Selena heard a familiar voice. She opened her eyes and saw Luke standing in front of her while she was hugging him. Her eyes grew big when she noticed that he is in his birthday suit. She screamed and let him go. She turned around quickly and covered her face.

Luke laugh so loud it almost echoed in the entire training ground. A towel was given to him and he wrapped it to his mid.

"Don't be shy my love, it's not like you haven't seen everything". He teased her.

"Please put some clothes on". She said pleading while covering her face.

"I will, after I take a shower. Care to join me?". He sniffed her hair and blow some hot air in her ear.

Selena felt the hair on her nape all stands when Luke breathe near her ear. She covered her ears instead. Suddenly she felt her body were lifted from the ground.

"What the.... Luke, what are you doing put me down!". She was carried by Luke like sack of rice without effort.

"Stop moving, I don't want to drop you!". He spank her butt and laughed.

"You brute!".

A pair of eyes are watching the Alpha and her future Luna. So much anger can be seen in those honey colored pair.

"You will never succeed. Luke is mine, only mine".

"Stop hurting yourself Amanda, he already found his Luna".

"Shut up Dusk. Luke hasn't received his marked yet and I will pray for the Goddess to not let a lowly human to stain his reputation". Amanda's anger shows on her tone. Her jealousy is great but she have no right.

Dusk didn't say anything more. He felt pity for her. Amanda is a great warrior and she's been training since they were a pup. She always wanted to be the Luna and everyone knows about her dream. But things didn't turn the way she hope for. The Alpha is mated to a human and it hurts her the most.

Luke left Selena in the pack house. He can't convince her to stay in his room though he love to tease her he don't want her to get mad at him. The pack house is a place where anyone can cook or eat, in short it's like a big kitchen house near the training ground.

Selena was in awe. She can't believed how big the place is. It has a very long table with a very long chairs on the side. She wondered if they all eat here at the same time it will look like a battle ground. She softly laughed with the thought. She scanned the place and saw shelves and drawers everywhere. There are also five big fridge. She got curious and open each one. There are a lot of containers of food and each have a name. She smiled. When she turned and decided to go back to the long table, she almost screamed her heart out. A pair of big beautiful eyes are staring at her and her face is full of innocence.

"Are you Luna?". She asked with her little voice.

"No, I'm still not.... My name is Selena". She said and patted the little girl's head. "What is your name?".

"Beatrice but they always call me Rice". She answered with innocence.

"Then can I call you Rice too?". She saw the little girl nod. "What are you doing here, are you looking for someone?". Selena realized that this is a training ground. She's probably looking for her brother or sister.

"I'm hungry!". Rice said and brushed her little hands to her stomach.

Selena don't know what to do. All the containers inside the fridge have names on them. She carried little Rice and sat her on the table. Then she ransack all the drawers. She found some pasta, small can of milk and a can of tuna. No names on them. 'I'll pay them later'. She said to herself.

"Rice how would you like a white spaghetti?".

"Yehey spaghetti!". She shouted with glee and even clapped her small hands.

She maid a thumbs up and goes to the kitchen stove. From there she can still see little Rice watching her patiently. She looked for other ingredients such as onions and garlic then start cooking. It took only twenty minutes and their white spaghetti is served. Rice shove a fork of pasta to her mouth.

"Careful it's still hot". She got worried that she might burn her little mouth. But seeing her eat with full of gusto as if she hasn't eaten for a whole year it makes her smile. She started to eat then felt a bit uncomfortable. She can feel a pair of eyes are watching them. She raised her head and saw the ginger head woman staring at her.
