Episode 9

Seok hoon was dazed for a moment, lost in thoughts. Then, he shook his head and thought it didn't make sense. Min joo always had such dramatic theories about these things and so he didn't take him seriously.

"Anyways, I'm really curious to know who is this girl that is making you feel uneasy?" Min joo asked and Seok hoon glared at him.

"Alright, Alright. Hide it for as long as you can. One day, you'll tell me I know" Seok hoon huffed at that, resting his head at the back of the couch.

Meanwhile,

Sun hee was sitting on the bed, hugging her knees. She was still regretting why did she say all that to Seok hoon. She thought, now he wouldn't be comfortable around her. Although it would be a lie to say she wasn't hurt. Deep inside, it did hurt her when he moved away, said those things and left the room without saying anything else.

But she still didn't want to cause any problem for him. He was already risking a lot to help her. She was sitting when the door opened and her gaze fell on the door as Seok hoon walked in.

Seeing him, she immediately got down the bed, staring at him. She wanted to say a lot of things but the look in Seok hoon's eyes was something else. Yet she had to say something, apologise or at least explain herself.

Seok hoon knew she would find out about it but she hadn't seen Sun hee so she had no proof. Jiwoo went closer to the door to open it when Seok hoon grabbed her from her elbow and pushed her back.

"What are you doing here?" He asked to her.

Jiwoo knew what had happened when Seok hoon has came out of a room with his shirt unbuttoned. But she wanted to know who was in there with him. She suspected something was fishy. If it's then why is he hiding her.

"Who is in there?"

"I would tell you if it was any of your business. But it's not-"

"Seokhoonah" she moved closer to him but Seok hoon gripped on her shoulder and moved her back a little.

"Just tell me what are you doing here?" His tone quite solemn. Sun hee lowered her eyes in defeat.

"I was looking for you when I found out you already left. Min joo told me what you talked about with him" she gazed up at him.

"And?" He asked, unbothered.

"Who is she? Do you love her?" Her eyes speaking emotions.

Seok hoon himself didn't know if he loved Sun hee or what even was love. It was something he had to feel and realize and if it's something, you'll know yourself when you'll feel it. But to Jiwoo, he had to say what was needed to be said.

"Even if I do, it's time you should stop getting effected by it." Hearing that, her eyes turned red.

"How could you?" Her voice breathy. "When I told you, I loved you, you said falling in love was stupid," she moved closer to him."You told me, you'd never fall in love "

Sun hee's eyes widened slightly as she was listening everything. It's not like she wanted to hear at first but the door was thin and she was standing near to it. As the conversation we t by, she felt like it was needed for her to listen.

"I never felt that way for you. You knew-"

"But why would you feel that way for anyone else?" Her voice loud as she cut him off. "You fooling around, sleeping with girls was something I stopped caring about. It wouldn't effect me anymore. But how could you fall in love?" Grabbing him from his collars, she shouted.

"HOW?!" Seok hoon grabbed her wrists at that and pushed her back.

"Min joo loved you, you knew that too!" He yelled. "I didn't want to ruin my friendship with Min joo because of you. You had to get over it. You have to get over it, Jiwoo!" He shouted, avoiding all the questions about him falling in love.

"You think the love that is decades older is so easy to get over with? Seok hoon, you.."

"I don't feel anything for you, the fuck you want me to do?" He yelled.

"You have never felt anything for me? Not even once?" Jiwoo's brows down, eyes desperately waiting for those lips to move and say what the ears wanted to hear.

Seok hoon was tired of her imposing something on him. He never felt or never did. He looked at both Min joo and Jiwoo as friends. They grew together, cried together and laughed together. Although, now they were grown ups and selfish but they were still friends. In Seok hoon's eyes, Min joo was wrong for falling in love with Jiwoo and she was wrong for falling in lovely with him.

Min joo got over it but Jiwoo didn't. She still was in hope that someday Seok hoon would feel what she felt for him. But now, she had to realise, he would never. Seok hoon grabbed her elbow and dragged her downstairs, in the hall.

"Seok hoon" she tried to stop him but his fingers felt like iron chains wrapped around her arm. He pushed her outside.

"Just go" he closed the door. Jiwoo's gaze lowered and she turned around to walk away.

Seok hoon went upstairs and stared at Sun hee's room door. He knew she heard everything. He closed his eyes in deep regret. He opened the door and walked in.

Sun hee was sitting beside the door, her back against the wall. There was a lot she got to know, without any context. So, she tried to connect dots by over thinking. She was hurt and fazed. Seok hoon looked at her.

"You can go to sleep" he spoke."I'll be downstairs"

"Why didn't you answer her question?" He was about to go when he was stopped by that.

"What question?" He stood in front of her.

"That, did you really never feel anything for Jiwoo?" She gazed up at him, her eyes wet. "If it wasn't for Min joo, would you have considered her feelings?"

Sun hee didn't know anything about that, none of it. But as much as she heard taking that into discussion, she could only understand what she was asking.

"What?" He didn't know what she was thinking.

Standing up, she stared into his eyes. "I didn't know anything about you. I only knew what was in front of me. But what I got to know now, I didn't know you were like this"

Sun hee thought, just like Jiwoo, Seok hoon loved her too but since Min joo loved Jiwoo, he didn't want to betray his friend so he gave up on Jiwoo and to get over her, he started finding discussions m hence sleeping with every other girl to get over that heartbreak.

"I took was just a distraction for you, wasn't I ? Few moments ago, what you were doing, it was because you're still not over Jiwoo and you want to get over her?" She didn't notice when the tears escaped her eyes and rolled down her cheeks.

Seok hoon got carried away few moments ago. He couldn't control himself. He knew that it was wrong and a mistake. All he had to do was send her back. That way, she will stay safe too and Seok hoon's father wouldn't get hurt either.

He did get effected by what Sun hee said. He didn't want her to think that way but what could he do anyways?

After a few moments of silence, the only thing he said was,

"I'll be downstairs. Sleep well" With that, he left the room. Sun hee was sobbing, sitting on the floor.

Next day, Min joo entered in Seok hoon's castle along with Jiwoo.

"But why do we have to party here today?" Asked Seok hoon while glancing to Sun hee's room in between. Jiwoo gazed upstairs as soon as she entered and walked closer to Seok hoon.

"Why Seok hoon? What's wrong?" He knew what she was doing. She wasn't even hiding it and her expression was saying it all.

"Yeah, what's wrong?" Min joo asked to Seok hoon, unaware of anything between the two. Glaring at Jiwoo, Seok hoon answered. "Nothing"

"Great then! This is our party place" Jiwoo told him, excitedly. "It hits different, I missed it a lot" she took two steps forwards the stairs when Seok hoon approached her.

"Why don't you sit here? I'll be back in a while" his gaze dark and threatening. But Jiwoo wasn't going to step back. An evil smirk formed on the edge of her lips. She had decided on it when she convinced Min joo to come there because she had already thought she had to find out what Seok hoon was hiding.

"Yeah sure. Come soon" she spoke softly and walked over to the couch.
