They where trying to kill him he knew it so he took a deep breath , honestly he did not feel like dying to today or ever .He couldn't make false accusations without proof and before he even got proof he was pretty sure they'd be dropping flowers on his grave ,he was atheists but right now he was praying to God ,Jesus ,Allah ,Budda whatever to please save him
