ch. 5 A Battle!

The Forest of Menos Grande, as the name suggests, is the forest where Menos Grande lives. They instinctively understand that it would take too long to evolve by only devouring low level hollow, so they all congregate into an area for them to devour one another and continue their evolutions.

The Menos grande that Madara had devoured was one of the weakest, seeing as how it ran away from the forest in order to survive and chose to prey on the occasional low level hollow to try and evolve.

Compared to the powerful Menos grande that had already devoured multiple others of it's kind and had near human like intelligence, the one madara killed was not comparable.

Since the Forest of Menos Grande spreads throughout the underground of Hueco Mundo, no one can tell how big the Forest of Menos Grande is. It could go on for tens of miles, or it could exist throughout this entire world as it is impossible to truly tell.

Uchiha Madara's eyes shined with excitement as he ran on the Sandy terrain, he now knew he didn't have to wander around the Hueco Mundo anymore looking for prey, the Forest of Menos Grande was teeming with them.

However there was a problem in front of Uchiha Madara, it is not easy to reach the underground forest of Menos Grande.

He had to continue going deep into Hueco Mundo before searching hundreds of miles and finding a hole that would lead to the underground forest of Menos Grande.

Relying on the vague memory of Gillian, Uchiha Madara embarked on a new journey under the pale moonlight as time passed by like sand in an hour glass.

Endless killing and devouring accompanied by the disgusting smell of blood filled the air as Madara lifted up the living hollow and casually threw it into his mouth, chomping down as he continued to search.

Half a month passed in the blink of an eye and Madara could no longer remember how many creatures he has hunted and killed. Like a machines who's sole purpose was to kill, Madara tore through the low level Hollows and the occasional Menos grande like paper.

Compared to the ninja world, this world had the constant blood shed and fighting that he craved but it lacked any substantial challenge compared to his past world.

Madara remembered the heart pounding battles he had in the past with Hashirama, or that Taijutsu specialist who opened up all 8 gates, and even the Uzumaki and Uchiha kid made him feel the pressure.

In this cruel world of mindless beast constantly fighting each other, the only thing he can do is keep fighting and devouring, that was all.

It didn't help Madara despair that with each kill, he'd get stronger and stronger. If he wasn't so curious about the possibility of evolving into a new form, he would've stopped eating to give himself more of a challenge.

Over time, Madara abandoned hunting the ordinary Hollows and concentrated on finding Menos Grande, stopping to consume them only if they were in his way.

Time passed leisurely and months later Madara finally found the area where his memory was from. Despite this world being barren, it wasn't very windy and allowed for sand hills to remain unchanged by nature.

As he neared the spot, the sand beneath him suddenly began vibrating before a swirls began to form in front of him only for a huge Hollow to appear!

"It's energy feels the same as the large creatures that I devour!"

Unlike Menos Grande that had black cloaks that covers their hulking mass, this creature was made entirely of the sand except for it's ivory mask!

Madara instinctively knew this creature was much stronger than the previous ones he fought as a smile couldn't help but form onto his face.

The creature was a full head taller than Madara and the other Menos grande and it looked at Madara with a conniving sneer.

Madara encountered many different kind of hollows after coming to Hueco Mundo, the Menos Grande he met in the past all had a uniform appearance, black cloak, slow movements, and no intelligence in their eyes.

But when Uchiha Madara saw the giant made of Sand, the corner of his mouth curled up. He could clearly see the trace of intelligence from those huge eyes hidden behind the mask!

The Sand giant opened its mouth and let out an earth shattering roared, causing a strong sand storm to appear.

"So I'm not the only intelligent being in this world, it's a terrible shame I'm going to kill you, but its nice knowing."

The sand titan's name was Runuganga, a unique Gillian with the ability bti manipulate sand. With his special ability, he has been lurking in this desert for a long time and easily hunting down prey with unique abilities.

After decades of of devouring, it finally transformed from the brainless barbarism and awakened its own intelligence, however limited it was.

"A unique Gillian, I wonder what would happen once I devour you?"

Hearing his words, the feeling of anger overcame Runuganga as it slammed it's large fist into the ground and send three hurricanes heading Madara way.

"Easily falls for insults, so intelligent but not experienced with using his intelligences" the unique Menos grande had no reason to explore his intelligence as his sand ability alone made him the strongest Menos grande.

Facing the turbulent offensive, Uchiha remained indifferent. The corner of his mouth even raised into a bloodthirsty grin as his eyes shifted colors to blood red!

The once face moving hurricane appeared to him in slow motion as he saw the trajectory of the attack. Using his back set of arms to perform the hand signs, Madaras collosal frame appeared to disappear as he used his Flicking Body Jutsu!

Runuganga was stunned as he desperately looked around and found Madara causally standing hundreds of feet away.

As he stared at Madara in astonishment, he witnessed the Uchiha use two of his four hands to begin making weird hand signs and sensed the spirit energy withing them moving in weird ways.

Runuganga watched wearily as Madara suddenly took in a deep breath before his other pair of hands came together into a tiger seal before he disappeared once again!

Before he couldn't comprehend bthe situation, he senses Madara energy suddenly appearing right behind him!

'Flicker body Jutsu!'

'Fire Release: Dragon Fire Jutsu!'

Thanks to his lacking Chakra networks, Madara could now use two justu simultaneously!

The very moment that Madara appeared behind them, a scorching flame spit out from Uchiha Madara's mouth and turned into several fire dragons, and rushed towards Runuganga's head.

*Boom!*

What Madara expected to happen almost came to fruition, his fire jutsu landed on the creature and exploded their head into pieces of glass but instead of collapsing to the floor dead, the creature remained standing unfazed.

Not only did it remain standing, the missing sand began to crawl up it's body and form into his head, healing him!

Despite this turn of events, Madara's smile only deepened further as he immediately began planning his next attack!
