Thoughts

After the visit from Unohana, the rest of the day dimmed down very regularly. Jin did try to apologize once more to Lady Konoka to make sure he was not on the wrong path or anything.

The only thing he did receive as an answer was that if Unohana was concerned or mad, then Jin would definitely know it by now. Since it was not the case, he didn't need to worry.

With that, everything just went its own way. Another thing to mention may be that Lord Seigen had to stay at the headquarters because something urgent came up.

Jin guessed it probably had something to do with the Hollows from two days ago. After all, his Division was in duty of quickly responding to emergencies. And with that, he would probably report first. At least that is what he said himself.

----

Being in the room that was given to him, Jin couldn't sleep just yet.

He was lying on a futon with his arms behind his head as a means for stronger support than the pillow below could ever give him and seemed to be in thought.

To be truthful, it was not only his private room since Fujimaru was close by as well and already somewhat snoring.

Matsuri, on the other hand, was lucky and got a whole room for herself. Jon slightly wondered why they were distributed like that. But at the same time, it was nothing he could argue against.

'This guy went off to the dreamlands as quickly as reaching the room...', he thought while looking over to Fujimaru.

Then he changed his focus back to the ceiling above and started to think about the events from the last two days.

'This day was pretty eventful. Urahara kept his word about testing us. I didn't think we would meet Hiyori there though...'

He slightly snorted as if remembering something.

'That girl tries to hide her insecurities. But I think she likes us. Or else she wouldn't be so up and personal. My cheeks still ache from that. Need to get revenge at some point.'

'That makes me think about the other Visored. What are they doing right now? Shinji should be a Captain. What Division was he again?... Can't remember.'

'But I am sure there were a total of three people at Captain level in the Visored group. I am sure of two. Shinji and that Hakuda guy. What was his name again? K...I think something with a fist? Ken? Kensei? Kensai? Oh well, doesn't matter. At some point, I will get to know it anyway.

'Maybe I should help them out if I can? Urahara does get expelled because of that as well.'

'Right, Kisuke. I still wonder what Urahara found out about me. I can't just stop thinking about it. That sly bastard is hard to get along with, and it is pretty much impossible to read his mood or thoughts.'

'I am pretty sure he didn't just test me on my spiritual potential. He very likely didn't tell me anything about it and kept it hidden.'

'But him keeping quiet about it...Let's hope he doesn't get the idea to put me on a dissecting table.'

'Considering that I pretty much time traveled into this timeline, there should be some evidence remaining on my body that could be useful for research.'

'I am certain about that, and it would make me an interesting subject. Good thing Mayuri isn´t the current Captain of the 12th Division...'

He was considering things more thoroughly at this point and slowly thinking about his next steps as well.

'Come to think. I wonder what happened with the soul burial that was performed on me. Ending up in the 19th century sure is a change in scenery.'

'At least that is about the time I think I should be at. Then again, I will have to gather more intel and later rethink some of my options. Maybe I will try and vacation myself just like Kisuke and Yoruichi. I really would like to travel the world. Now that I am technically dead, why bother working...´

´Anyway, right now, I only know that I am a part of this world. And it is pretty much the same world I came from.'

Right, even the part about Shinigami existing was real. Makes you wonder what the Mangaka knew about this other side...'

'I am interested in upcoming events. Precisely talking there are going to be a few events in the future that have something to do with time travel. Will I end up being involved as well? It would skip a lot of time but also different events after it.'

Jin slowly closed his eyes now and started shifting his body to the side to make himself more comfortable.

'Well, no use thinking about it further than that - for now.'

'First comes the Shinigami academy...Damn, sure makes it sound like some police school. Return to school in general sounds weird. But I sure will enjoy it. Can't deny the good times I had before my working life. Let's hope it will be the same here.'

'Hmm, how far can I go? Urahara shouldn't have lied about my potential as a Lieutenant. That means I can reach Captain level if I put effort into my training. I should at least reach the Lieutenant standard.'

'But I wonder if I am even made out to be a fighter...Well, at least I have some talent in Kido...I think.'

His eyes were still open while thinking, but they soon closed, and he got way too tired to keep thinking about more things.

'What will my Zanpakuto look like? I hope it will not be anything too weird...Hmpf, here I go and fantasize about things that I don't even have any control over.'

'Just be something nice...'

With those last thoughts, he drifted off into sleep himself.
