Chapter 23 :In love with her

ROSEANGELICA'S POV～～～

 After the maid informs me that the food is ready I stand up walking towards Damien's home office to call them to eat.

 I felt a heavy weight on my heart and I am puzzled as to why I feel this way.

my slippers paddle on the marble floor and steps.on reaching the office I raise my hand about to knock when I realise the door is half open.

 'Don't eavesdrop Rose'I mentally tell myself and finally deciding to enter the next words stop me.

 ''She loves you Damien''Adrein says furstration clear in his voice.

 'Who loves him'I wonder.

 ''It doesn't matter,what matters is that I am doing all this for the woman I love''Damien's deep voice says in a stern voice.

 Hurt by his words I try to understand who he loves.

''Cut these bullshit Damien it has been years, you cannot continue loving a ghost''Adrein thunders anger flowing from each word.

 ''You don't understand Adry I love her and will do anything for her''Damien answers his voice now soft at the mention of 'Her'.

 ''At the cost of loosing a woman who loves you huh?''Adrein asks and I hear footsteps against the rug in the office''your wife loves you brother,you should focus on that''Adrein says but the next words Damien says shatter me.

 ''I can loose anything and anyone for her,I don't care about that love''he says referring to the love I have for him.

 Placing a palm over my lips to silence my sobs I turn on my heels running towards the room.

 Lying on the bed face on the pillow tears stream out like a river out of my eyes. 

 I knew today and every other day was a mistake, he never loved me.

 Back then when we dated and he left saying those mean words which shattered me I felt broken internally.

 The day we broke up was a day I will never forget,I received a call from him asking to meet me for lunch and when I got there I saw him in a liplock with another girl.

 Stridding towards him angered he just smirked saying stupid shit and how I was just fun to him.

 Shattered and broken I left,I left everything and everyone just to see him years later and to become his wife.

 furiously wiping the tears away from my eyes I muffle my screams with the pillow.

 I am so stupid,stupid for trying to be ok with this stupid arrangement.

 Hearing footsteps I quickly wipe my eyes and turn my face away from the door.

''The food is ready''I hear Damien's voice behind me and a part of me felt like tearing him apart,screaming and yelling at him for answers.

 ''I am not hungry''I tell him thankful my voice came out steady and not shaky.

 ''What is wrong''He asks coming closer to the bed,I feel the bed deep before feeling his hand on my hair.

 ''I am fine Damien,you don't have to pretend you care''I tell him and his hands instantly retrieve.

 ''You are right''he simply says before walking out and slamming the door after him.

 Tears continue to flow freely,tired I allow them to.
