Chapter 2 - The Decision

With those two words, he turned his back on the life he had thought he wanted and walked out the door. He didn't know where he was going or what he would do, but he knew that he would never look back.

As he walked away from the house, he felt a sense of freedom wash over him. For the first time in a long time, he felt like he was in control of his own life. And while the road ahead was uncertain, he knew that he had the strength to face whatever came his way. With each step he took, he shed the weight of his past and embraced the possibilities of his future.

As he walked, he couldn't help but smile. He was free. Free to be whoever he wanted to be, and to do whatever he wanted to do. For the first time in his life, he was truly happy.

The world was his oyster, and he was ready to take it on. He didn't know where he would end up, but he knew that he was going to enjoy the journey.

And with that, he set off into the night, a new man, ready to start a new chapter in his life.

Sam arrived at his best friend's house late that night, feeling a mixture of emotions. He was relieved to be away from the painful scene he had just witnessed, but also scared of what the future held. He knew it was going to take some time for him to heal and move on from what had happened.

As he stepped onto the porch, his friend Harry greeted him with a hug. Sam could tell that Harry had been crying by the way he trembled in Sam's embrace. When they finally parted, Harry looked at Sam with an expression of both sadness and rage.

"What did they do to you?" he asked in a voice full of emotion.

Sam shook his head sadly, knowing that there were no words that could adequately explain the events of the evening. "It doesn't matter," he said softly before embracing Harry again.

The two friends stayed like that for a while until finally Harry pulled away and held Sam at arms length. "I'm going to make them pay for what they did," he said firmly before releasing Sam and stepping back inside the house.

Sam watched his friend go with admiration and gratitude, knowing that Harry would never give up on him now matter how tough things got. He smiled to himself as Harry disappeared into the darkness, thankful to have someone like Harry in his life who cared for him so deeply.

With newfound determination coursing through him, Sam walked into the house and decided it was time for him to start taking control of his own destiny once again.

With a sudden rush of bravery, he reached for the phone and called his father. Five years had passed since his departure from home - since he left the powerful business mogul behind. Fear threatened to overwhelm him, but his determination refused to waver as he prepared himself to confront the man that he had cast away long ago.

"Hello?" came the gruff voice on the other end of the line.

"Dad, it's me," Sam said, trying to keep his voice steady. "I need to talk to you."

There was a pause on the other end of the line before his father spoke again. "What do you want, Sam? I thought we were done."

"We're not done," Sam said firmly, feeling a surge of anger at his father's dismissive tone. "I need your help."

"My help?" his father scoffed. "You left me, remember? You chose to turn your back on everything I've built. Why should I help you now?"

Sam took a deep breath, trying to remain calm. "Because I'm your son, and I need your help. Please, Dad. I need to come home."

There was another pause on the other end of the line, and for a moment Sam thought his father had hung up. But then he heard a sigh.
