Mrs. Liliana Blake Williams

Chapter: 2

Mrs. Liliana Blake Williams

"Mr. Jason Blake! What the hell are you doing? "Where are you taking me?"

"Our home, sweetheart, come back to where you belong...

Mrs. Liliana Blake Williams.

She froze as she heard his words, and the thought of going back with him wasn't helping her.

It was another day at St. Xavier University. Hustle-bustle of students, sounds of laughter, excitement for yet another exciting day, books, lockers opening and closing, and light squeals of students of surprise and excitement for the new upcoming college festival could be heard in the corridors.

"Lilly!"

"Lilly!"

"Huh!"

"Where do you think you are going, Liliana Greens?"

She cringed when she heard her best friend, the one person she could truly call a friend, shouting from behind her, breaking the trance she had been in for how long.

"Umm, sorry, I didn't see where I was going." She responded after thinking.

"What is going on? You're practically shivering; are you sick?"

Her companion saw her best friend shaking and looking paler than the last time she had seen her.

"No, just feeling a little cold; I am fine." Lily said, hiding her eyes from her friend.

"Like, really, are you fine, because today's hotter than yesterday, though?"

Her friend looked like she wouldn't leave her alone anytime soon without knowing the real reason for her friend's pale face.

"You're overthinking it; explain why everyone is so happy today. " I know they are like chipmunks every day, but today is a little different."

Lilly shifted her friend's focus, knowing how quickly she may be distracted from a topic, and she couldn't tell her about what happened yesterday.

"How so?" Samantha inquired, puzzled.

"Like they are behaving more like orangutans today." Liliana replied with a cheeky smile.

"Ha, ha, ha, ha! Now you're acting like my pal Lily. For once, I suspected you were hiding anything from me."

Lily's breath hitched for a moment, but she steadied herself and asked,

"Why did you think so?"

"Nothing; you just looked a little pale today."

After retrieving their books from their lockers, the girls continued walking towards their same class.

"Leave it; tell me fast what's happening." Lily insisted on not missing out on anything.

"Huh, what happened to my always-up-to-date genius friend?"

Samantha lifted her brow jokingly at her best friend.

"Okay, fine. Guess who is going to visit our university today. Leave it; you know nothing. Let me tell you: it is none other than the...

.......drumbeats......

Dum, Dum, Dum,

"MR. JASON BLAKE WILLIAMS!

YAY!!!"

While Sam was jumping with joy, Liliana felt as if the ground beneath her feet had slipped. Shocked would be an understatement to describe how she feels right now. Stuttering slowly, she inquired more, whispering in a low voice.

"WHA.... What did you say just now? I couldn't hear it clearly. Who did you say was coming?"

"You couldn't believe it; I knew you'd be surprised too. But it's true! Jason Blake Williams, the world-famous business tycoon and CEO of the Williams Group of Companies, is visiting our university today, and he will also be our new guest professor for business management students for the next few months."

Gosh, I was just considering being trained by the business tycoon himself. You are extremely lucky to be a business student."

Samantha was continuously talking while all her attention was diverted towards that one and only person, whose news of arrival was enough for her to feel the fear seep deep into her bones and make her feel shivers running down her spine.

"Hey, are you even listening, Lilly?".

"Yeah, I am listening.". She replied aimlessly and without paying attention.

"Really, or have you already succumbed to his charms? My god, God took his sweet time creating him. I might faint if I saw him in person. I've never met him. Aishh".

Sam replied sarcastically, looking at her best friend as she strolled aimlessly around the corridors like a ghost.

"Lily, Hey, I'm talking to you. Where do you see? "I'm here, and you look like a deer caught in a headlight."

Liliana peered ahead, only to see Jason and a few more members of her college administration committee approaching in their direction. The man gave Liliana a nasty smirk, which caused her eyes to furrow in perplexity. Samantha, on the other hand, was walking in reverse while talking to Liliana animatedly. She shook Liliana, hoping to gain an answer to the question she had been asking for the past few minutes, but she appeared to be lost somewhere else.

Samantha slipped and fell into his arms before she could answer her friend or warn her about the people approaching them. He had been staring straight into Liliana's eyes without blinking since the start.

Her eyes widened when she saw him aiding Sam, and a mischievous sneer danced across his lips.

He assisted her in standing straight with proper gentlemanly manners.

"Are you fine, Miss?".

"Yes, I'm OK. Mr. Blake, I apologize for the trouble just now, and thank you for saving me." Samantha had a slight blush on her cheeks from falling into her crush's arm, while Lily's cheeks were puckered up from rage and jealousy. A smug, proud look spread across his face upon realizing this.

"No worries, Miss; it's my duty to help beautiful girls like you and your friend.". His smirk widened as Liliana's eyes widened and her cheeks turned even redder, but not from jealousy or shyness, but from rage. She may loathe him, for all intents and purposes, but it is totally inappropriate for her to flirt with her best friend in public.

‘THAT CUNNING DEVILISHLY HANDSOME BASTARD’

She wished to divert their attention and escape from him.

"Good morning, Mr. Jones and Mr. Williams."

"Good morning, Ms. Green and Ms. Rosi." Mr. Jones responded.

"Now if you may excuse us, sirs." Liliana was looking for any way to escape his scrutinising stare. Jason, on the other hand, was amused by her shenanigans and her flushed face.

"Sure, Ms. Greens."

Mr. Jones called out to the girls.

"Ms. Green and Ms. Rosi, I need to have a word with you in my office. Can you join me there in 20 minutes? There are some matters we need to discuss."

Blake stopped the two females in their tracks and declared in his usual cold, emotionless voice that their prior playfulness had vanished long ago, sending shivers down the other three's spines.

"Be there on time."

He continued, putting additional strain on the few words.

"Especially you, Ms. Liliana Greens."

"Yes, Sir. Yes, we will be there on time."

Samantha replied cheerfully, not noticing her friend's pale expression. Blake shifted his focus to Lilly and questioned her with a serious expression and a mischievous smirk.

"And how about you, Ms. Greens? Will you not come?"

"Yes, sir, I will be there on time."

Lily stuttered because she was afraid of being alone with him again, even though she knew the chances were slim, but he would go to any length to make it happen.

They parted ways, and as she was about to pass him and follow her friend, who was hopping ahead of her like a cute little rabbit in the corridor, he leaned in and whispered in her ears in a raspy tone.

"Good girl, my princess. I'll be waiting for you, Mrs. Liliana Blake Williams."

*

Samantha suddenly remembered something as the two girls were making their way to their classes together. They had never told Mr. Jason Williams their introduction, yet he already appeared to know Liliana well; hence, she asked,

"Hey Lily, you didn't tell me you knew Mr. Williams."

"Yeah, I met him a few times for the meeting of the board of directors last week when I joined Mr. Jones as his assistant."

"First, you got to meet him before me, and now you'll study under his supervision for a month or longer. I am quite envious. I regret not studying business management."

Samantha was muttering while walking alongside Liliana, dreamily telling her about all the nice things in Lily's life; little did she realise that the things she deemed lucky were exactly what she feared to be unlucky for.

But she couldn't reveal it to anyone, especially her best friend, who dreams about this man. The one she believes is—no, everyone thinks—the perfect man of their dreams, but reality differs from their expectations.

She couldn't help but smile when she saw her friend's happy expression.

"Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, look at your face; you look like an ugly duckling." She teased.

Yah! Dare to call me that, and I will transform your oh-so-beautiful face into an ugly platypus." Samantha responded, knowing full well that she was not going to stop tormenting her about her red cheeks anytime soon.

Only if they knew the person they were talking about had already set his sights on his princess.

. . . . . . . . . . . . .

"Will you not come to me, my princess?"
