Chapter 87

Last night, Aiden had been waiting for Ariel to come back home and meet him in their room, but for a very long time, she didn't come back and when she finally did, she went right into the bathroom and showered.

He was thinking that after her shower he'd get to cuddle his wife, but he was disappointed to see her walk out of the room and go back to her formal room. Grandma Nari was gone, so there was no one to pretend for anymore.

Aiden was confused; she hadn't even said a word to him and it made him uncomfortable. He had gone over to the room and knocked multiple times, but no one responded; he had no choice but to return to bed alone that night.

He tossed and turned as he thought about what he had done wrong this time. He couldn't wait for the next morning to talk with her and question her about why she acted the way she did last night.

Finally, after the long night, morning came.
