Beyond Earth

"Fear is a feeling, but it tends to run deeper than that. It's like a virus. Resilient and highly contagious. And even the smallest seed of it can grow to destroy you." °°°°°° It's the year 2280. Airborne particles were invented with the intent to eradicate diseases but instead they become radioactive, toxic and severely deadly to anyone who breathes in even a tiny amount. The world becomes a dystopia and is uninhabitable. With time running out for humans on earth, Hiro Tachibana is one of the scientists that has to find out if a new planet is fit for habitation. But when people start turning up dead on the spaceship and there are more questions than answers, Hiro realizes that he may not be able to trust anyone. Not even himself. Chapter 134

I rolled my shoulders and collected the handgun Carina stretched out to me. "Wait, why do I get a handgun? You guys are going to use rifles." I furrowed my brows at the rifle slung over her shoulder and she smiled at me as Viviana and Ezra finally came back from where they went.

Ezra carrying the jerry can which was filled with water from the well that the stalkers used. The water was for filling the cans we were going to use for target practice so they'd be able to stay put on the wooden fence.

"Newbies use handguns," she told me as she gestured at the five boys that were standing off to the left with Lorenzo and Daniel. I pressed my lips together when I saw that they were also holding handguns before a shot rang out and one of the bottles exploded.

My eyes darted to Cheri when she lowered the rifle she was holding and grinned at me. "Show off," I muttered as I rolled my eyes and three other bottles exploded, courtesy of Faye, Clareta and Daniel.
