In the air, a man in the classical Marine clothes, wearing the famed Admiral jacket was flying in the air.

He was none other than Kuzan, the candidate to become Fleet admiral.

Did the timeline change? Or is it too early?

During the anime time skip, Kuzan was supposed to fight against Sakazuki for the position of Fleet admiral, only to lose and resign after losing a leg.

The opponent of this man was yet another strange man.

He had a pair of long dark shining trousers…

And that's about it. He wasn't wearing any shirt, nor was he wearing any hat. He was also barefoot.

As for his physical attributes…

His hair was pure silver as if he was an old man.

He was insanely buff. Like a Bodybuilder, but on steroids. But somehow, he could still move normally. He had many scars all over his body but the biggest was the one on his chest and right arm.

There was a massive Scar on his chest that covered almost all of it. It looked as if something crashed into it, burning the surrounding area.

His right arm had a scar shaped like a lightning bolt.

But the problem isn't that, it was the multiple lighting "serpents" flying across the sky.

-What did you see, John?

-... I saw…

/BOOOM!/

Kuzan lifted his hands and generated ice around himself:

-ICE BALL!

The buffed man's mouth curled into a massive smile that showed even his teeth. He suddenly turned into lighting and vanished, reappearing right behind Kuzan.

-This again? Can't you do anything else apart from this? I must say I am disappointed in the Marines.

-You talk as if you could damage me, kid.

-Oh yeah? So let's get serious!

/Boom!/

The sky thundered, and the clouds parted, opening a hole directly into dark space…

/FLASH!/

It suddenly flashed with an uncountable amount of lighting bolts that descended upon his body.

His body inflated until he became a 4 Meter tall man. His muscles did not seem oversized now. In fact, they looked perfectly sculpted into his body.

A massive white beard had grown in his face and his two eyes were now fully white with lighting sparking in them.

There was a white tunic all around his body.

-Behold my mythical power! Lighting Nova!

A very small blue ball appeared in his hand, it very slowly flew out of his hand in Kuzan's direction.

! Kuzan senses warned him not to underestimate this blue ball.

-ICE BLOCK! PHEASANT BEAK!

The ice pheasant made its way to the blue ball…

/BOOOOM!/

Somehow, the explosion didn't happen in the normal way, instead, it was all directed towards Kuzan's location!

The man smiled in satisfaction and said:

-It's over, how anticlimactic.

-At least you will have the honor of dying to me...

/CRACK!/

The frozen water on the ground broke apart revealing Kuzan, he was slightly hurt but nothing too great.

-Ara ara… I should've refused this call.

As for the big man, one of his brows shot up:

Hum. I thought he wouldn't turn into it if I did this… Well, I thought if I surprised him he wouldn't have the time to activate his ice… It's possible his ability simply has no activation time as I theorized.

-No matter, this will only make things more interesting!

His right hand extended into the air and "pulled".

The clouds started to take different shapes, eventually settling into a massive cylindrical shape.

The "cannon" lit up and menacing sounds started to echo inside of it.

Kuzan finally noticed that there were some bystanders and his eyes narrowed. But there was nothing he could do...

-Judgment! Ragnarok!

The cannon fired...

/Flash!/

A blinding light was released from the mountain peak. For a second, it seemed as if time had stopped.

/BOOOM!/

An earth-shattering sound soon shook our eardrums.

But this wasn't the end. A massive air barrier was quickly making its way to us.

-SHIT! FEDRUM! TURN THE SHIP TO THE RIGHT! VALET WITH ME!

I quickly made my decision to get away from this place as fast as possible.

Fedrum did not question my decision, neither did Ace.

-HUP!

Using all of his strength, Fedrum turned the boat to the right. The river current was so hitting the side of the ship with so much force that the ship almost capsized to the side.

I jumped out of the deck and placed my hands on the ship's hull.

/Inhale/

Golden lighting left my hands and fused into the ship.

/SWUSH!/

The very air around it started to change and soon, the boat started to float above water.

Ace noticed what I was trying to do and quickly went below the ship and used his fruit to propel the ship forward.

-We… We are flying! Said one of the sailors

-HOLD ON IF YOU DON'T WANT TO FALL! Said Fedrum

-Everyone! Enter the cabins if you don't want to die! Said Frindin

Below us was the red rocky mountain, if we fall here. Most likely everyone is going to die. Not because of the fall, but because of the explosion.

We aren't going to make it in time!

Without hesitation this time, I took my green mech ring from inside the pocket space and partly deployed its chest part.

/FUUON!/

The thrusters on the back of the armor lit up, and with it, the ship speed in the air increased considerably.

Ace was surprised, but because of the angle, he couldn't see what I was doing.

-I can see the river! Screamed Ace.

The explosion was about to hit us.

-DROP THE SHIP CAPTAIN!

He was confused, but he trusted me nevertheless.

/CRACK!/

The airwave hit the ship and threw it forward and broke several of its masts.

My body was thrown into the sky but I managed to recover rather quickly.

At this point in time, I had already removed my mech and stashed it in the storage space.

Using Geppo, I ran after the ship in the sky.

Ace was also flying, turning half of his body into flames and using it to propel himself.

And with a final push. We placed the ship back in the running river water.

/SPLASH!/

Surprisingly, the ship hit the water in a rather smooth way. Scattering the water to the side as it slid down the Reverse mountain.

Towards Paradise.

I looked back at the mountain top with Ace.

An Admiral and an unknown enemy whose strength seems to match his own. Ace used to be strong, but not strong enough to fight an Admiral.

Thanks to the cooperative actions of my clones, the crew, and their devil fruit powers, we barely managed to make the ship optimal for travel.

It's important to consider that this was made while we descended the Reverse mountain! On a stormy day to boot!

(There is actually an explanation for the terrible weather in the Reverse mountain. Sometimes it's sunny, like when they crossed it for the first time, while on other days, it just suddenly switches to a terrible storm, like this time.)

Many masts were destroyed and without a doubt, we will have to either switch or fix this ship.

-In the end, we found ourselves in Paradise… I guess we will have to look here first. Although I still have my concerns in regards to the crew's overall strength.

That was lucky… From all other days, we could have picked for passing the Reverse Mountain... The powerhouses had to fight right now.

-One day we will be there. Those guys are simply too much for our crew right now.

Ace's eyes were fixed at the top of the Mountain. From time to time you could see flashes of light and thunderous sounds coming from there.

Ace remembered the day he "died". How overwhelmingly powerful Whitebeard was.

It was the same feeling. Powerlessness.

He looked back towards his crew working hard to fix the ship amidst the storm and he smiled.

-You are right. Fighting would just be too detrimental.

I looked at him in shock.

-You… Don't want to rush there?

-No!

-Few…

-Do you want a beating?

-Can you do it?

-#!... After we settle ourselves I will deal with you.

He walked towards the captain's cabin, opened the door, and entered.

My vision went back to the mountain

The peak of the mountain was

Who was that guy? And most importantly, why was he here?

Is he someone from the original story? Or is he someone created due to the actions of the other "Heros" in this world?

I placed my back on the wooden mast.

If he was from the original series, then when?

Also, what is his fruit? He transformed and…

Transformed? Could it be a Zoan?...

A Mythical Zoan?

That's the only possibility for a fruit that grants him a body transformation, lighting control and… Cloud control?

If he is someone like me then…

This makes me wonder what he is doing? What benefits can he gain from fighting an Admiral?

Will he cooperate with me or will he get on my way?

How long did he stay in this world and all of that?

Not only him but all of the people doing this emergency mission.

I can worry about this after eating a good meal. If there is any in good shape after what happened.

Notes

(I am trying to portray Ace as a more mature and serious guy than shown in the anime and manga.

This is mostly because of the traumatic event of the war. His rushed actions caused the deaths of several dozen, if not more of his friends, including his "dad" Whitebeard.

It might not please most, but I am always open to corrections in case you think it's proper.)
