(Technology in one piece is strange, you have old style boats and cannonballs, people use flintlock weapons, but there are androids that can shoot laser beams.)

Can I actually copy their abilities?

I trained in thousands of martial arts but what they are doing makes no sense…

I guess the anime funds for animation weren't enough to properly portray a fight between giants.
