The stone tablet was the final key to understanding the stone mask's inner mechanisms.

It said and explained how the stone mask transformed someone into a vampire.

But something interesting was that not even Kars understood the inner workings of the transformation.

He understood how to create it, how it performed, and its results. But not why.

He tried for centuries, millennia, but this particular stone tablet doesn't talk about those experiments.

The stone mask stimulates very specific regions of the brain, by using extremely small nails connected to the bigger ones that pierce the brain.

(Imagine the normal process of the stone mask, but at the end of the normal stone rods that pierce the brain, smaller, micro-sized stone nails also pierce the brain.)

It was made for the pillar man brain, but masks created for human use were made afterward, but each person is unique, having different brain sizes.

So the mask was made with generalist measurements.

That's why there's so much difference between the vampires. The strong ones are people whose brains are just more aligned with the measurements, or they are just lucky and happen to be those people whose brain size perfectly fits into the mask.

If your brain isn't aligned, then the effect might be weaker, or worse, you die. But dying is very very rare.

What I need to do now is find my own measurement and compare it to the mask. Perhaps find another person with similar measurements and try using the mask on him. To see how it goes.

After that, I need to figure out how the stimulation from the mask in the brain causes this transformation. Would something different happen if I stimulate only this area? So many questions are yet to be answered...

This will result in some human experimentation but that can wait, for now, the donated materials are more than enough.

(Hammon masters usually get this "future sense" when they train in the Ripple sufficiently.)
