Back at the academy

My clone just told me what was happening at the station. And to that I said

-Leave it. Just ignore it, for now, place someone to watch them just in case something happens.

I resumed my work on the mech. I had already done everything I could with this model, the only thing I could do is to improve its weaponry, but that takes time. With the data I acquired during the months of experimentation, I think I can go and try enhancing its model frame.

I need to at least have a working model by the end of the first period of school.

The clock ticked and soon the day came to an end, and another, and another one. Tatenashi's birthday came, and we celebrated it happily. The suspicious people never acted, nor did they leave the city, leaving a strange feeling in both mine and Tatenashi's minds.

Soon it had been 4 months since I came to this school. The progress of everyone has been nothing short of tremendous. From inexperienced pilots to instructor level in just a few months. They aren't called geniuses for nothing. I also modified their IS so that they could do more in future battles and gather more data. Houki still doesn't have her own IS and she has been bothered by that for a while now. My physical training and skill have reached a very high level. I don't know how strong I am compared with Tabane, but I did manage to best Chifuyu in swordplay, gaining the absolute admiration from Ichika.

My prototype MK-2 has advanced to the final stages and soon it will be ready to launch. This time I have implemented my own form of the fold-out-armor after analyzing Ichika's IS.(Ichika IS was a prototype for this form of tecnology)

During the first month, the criminals stayed around the city, but they eventually scattered when the police force had enough of it. But the members of the Phantom task disappeared from the radars.

I also managed to "borrow" a lot of knowledge around the world, and with that I created many pieces of equipment for both normal and IS use.

I finished my teleportation device, allowing me to move anywhere around the academy at any time. And with all of my tools, it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say I could defeat the "me" from the tournament without even using an IS.

I have already found the precise location of the time crystals and some warehouses around the world that store them.

These crystals need a very special environment to stay in else they just decompose into smoke.

They are very hard to mine and store, much less transport them from one corner of the world to another. That was the reason why I didn't manage to get my hands on one.

Recently I have a clone constantly tracking the Phantom task group in order to keep tabs on them. But we didn't have any luck. We might be able to get some info, but they are just a few individuals, so it is mostly luck to find someone in a city with a few million. I tried to make an AI search for them but it didn't work out. They must have hidden their appearance.

I finished my Prototype after 3 weeks, it performed well but I knew I could do better. For now, it will be my main unit until I finish my main project. I looked behind me to see a series of cables connected and intertwined with the skeleton of something.

At this rate, I will not finish it even within this year. If only I knew how to make a core then I wouldn't have wasted so long in the concept phase. For that, I can only wait for the right time. I didn't try to open the cores since this could end up in their destruction. And since none of the cores currently available are disposable, I just stopped experimenting.

Kanzashi's relationship with her sister has improved but she is still distant. Laura has started to understand how to properly communicate and Cecilia isn't as arrogant as before. Kona is still training but she actually received an invite to become a representative cadet for Japan. Her birthday was very close and I had a gift I was sure she would like.

The week ended and May started. On the 12 of May everyone was together to celebrate Kona's birthday.

There was a pair of car keys inside it.

She pressed the button but nothing happened. The key just glowed a little

But after a few seconds, the ground split open revealing a Purple IS.

The IS had a sleek and long design having legs and head protectors while the rest of the body stayed outside similar to most IS models. The user arms would be covered all the way to the elbows. Behind it, there were several flying rings and a long cylinder with a pointy tip.

-Greet Tsukanoma no Yume(Fleeting dream) the first-ever 4-generation IS, humm, a prototype perhaps…

I didn't even have the chance to finish my own self-reflection when Kona just hugged me.

-Now now, no need to cry, why don't you try it?

I carried her on a princess carry then lifted her up to the seat easily.

-Tsukanoma no Yume's main selling point is its speed. It can easily maintain a Mach 5 speed at all times even in sharp curves thanks to its mobility package, there is no risk to its user of any sort. Its max speed is Mach 12 but be careful that at such speeds if you crash your shield is going to deplete immediately. So for now, I have locked it at Mach 2 for its normal speed and Mach 4 for its Max speed. You are going to have to prove to me that you are capable of using it perfectly at such speeds before unlocking the higher speeds.

-To accompany its incredible speeds, Tsukanoma no Yume doesn't have any sort of normal weaponry since they would be useless at such speeds, hence most of the weapons on it are energy-based with precision and speed over strength. It also comes with a stealth package allowing it to virtually disappear by using a series of nanobots in the air. They constantly orbit the IS and are bound by a powerful magnetic force powered by the IS, so don't think they will be left behind if you fly off at max speeds. The bots can suppress sounds and clear any tracks left behind by your high-speed movement. You also have access to the fold-out-armor feature that can increase your attributes by 2 times if used well, and also a highly developed sensory system in order for you to accompany its speed, hence the helmet, the problem is that the fold-out-armor costs way too much energy.

-It can also accelerate into a special move that I call "Forward charge". Use your main melee weapon, a sharp spear, and move in a straight line at high speeds. It might sound stupid, but it can get your enemies by surprise because of its speed, even more, when you stack your max speed + FOA(Fold-out-armor)+Nanobots+This move. I don't really know its max speed, but be wary of its energy consumption.
