Chapter "Unexpected Visit"

Hikaru was looking at her. She then put the painting next to her and wrote something, and showed it and, "Did you like it?" was written, Hikaru was still glancing at her. He then looked down and wrote, "I loved it. How can you be that good at this?" and showed to her, She then wrote something and showed it, "I've been doing this since my childhood." Hikaru thought to himself, "She is amazing." He then wrote something and showed it, "Why don't you come out from your house?" Upon reading it, Ayumi got a bit sad. Hikaru quickly realized it and wrote something again, showing it, "I mean, you are incredibly talented. You should showcase your skills in front of the world." She smiled and wrote something, showing it, "I can't." Hikaru got a bit confused. She then smiled, wrote something again, and showed it, "I have to go now; my parents will be here anytime." Hikaru was still a bit confused. She then smiled, waved at him, and closed the window. Hikaru put the papers on his table, sat on his bed thinking, "Why can't she come outside?" He thought for a while, then had a flashback from earlier when his brother Yamada said that some girls from the neighborhood went to meet her, but her parents didn't allow them to meet their daughter. Hikaru's eyes widened. He thought to himself, "Abusive parents?" He seemed shocked, thought again, "That's bad. Are her parents keeping her in just that one room? I should investigate about it. I should help her." He then made a face full of confidence, stood up, and nodded yes.

The next morning, Hikaru was in school sitting at his desk, thinking, "What should I do? Should I inform the police? No, it would be too much. Should I take the help of our school teacher to investigate? Yeah, that will be a great idea. She will definitely help me. I should talk to her." As he was about to stand, Chiaki came and stood in front of Hikaru, saying, "Hikaru, let's study together." Hikaru said, "Not now, I'm busy," and quickly walked past her. As he came out, he noticed Ayame standing next, trying to hear them. He stopped and looked at Ayame, whose face was red. She quickly walked away, and Hikaru then continued to walk.

Hikaru was sitting in front of his teacher, and she said, "Yes, you are right. I will talk to her parents." Hikaru said, "Thank you, teacher. At least convince them to send her to school." She said, "Don't worry; I will try my best." Hikaru nodded yes and asked, "When will you go to their house?" The teacher said, "After school." Hikaru stood up, bowed, saying, "Thank you, teacher." The teacher smiled and nodded, saying, "It's okay." Hikaru then left his teacher's room.

After coming back, Hikaru was in his room looking out of his window; he didn't even change his uniform, standing and waiting for the teacher to visit their house. After a few moments of wait, the teacher finally showed up. Hikaru quickly turned his attention to her. She knocked, and after a few moments, someone opened the door, and she entered the house. Hikaru took a sigh of relief and kept on waiting.

After a few moments, the teacher came out and started walking away. Hikaru quickly sprinted, running downstairs, his mother looking at him and asked, "What happened, Hikaru?" Hikaru shouted, saying, "I'll be back in a few moments." He came out and started sprinting, running after his teacher. He quickly came and stood in front of her, gasping heavily. The teacher quickly asks, "Hikaru? Are you okay?" Hikaru nodded and asked, "What happened there? Are they convinced?" The teacher smiled and said, "Yes, Ayumi Kaneko will join our school from next week." Hikaru smiled brightly and started screaming with joy. His teacher's eyes widened, and Hikaru excitedly said, "Thank you so much, teacher." He excitedly ran back to his house, the teacher looking at him go, thinking to herself, "That's the first time I have seen Hikaru smiling."

Hikaru entered his house smiling and quickly went to his room, standing at his window and looking at Ayumi's window with a smile on his face. He seemed too happy.

After dinner, he was reading his book, suddenly having flashbacks of Ayumi holding his painting. A smile appeared on his face. Suddenly, his sister Mizuhara entered his room, and she had a smile on her face. Hikaru looked at her and asked, "What?" She said, "You have guests." Hikaru said, "Why is Yuta here?" She smiled and said, "It's a girl." Hikaru's eyes widened, he thought, "What? Ayumi?" He asked, "Who is she?" Mizuhara playfully said, "Come and see for yourself." Hikaru then stood up and started walking.
