Chapter "Birth Mark By Destiny"

She was hugging Hikaru, who was still sitting on the ground the Hikaru put his one hand on ayumi's back. Then she pulled herself back and started looking at Hikaru with a smile. She then puts both her hands on Hikaru's cheeks, squeezing them tight. Hikaru was confused confused, She then hold Hikar's hand with both of her hands. They gazed at each other, and Ayumi said, "Hey," with a smile. Hikaru asked, "What are you doing?" She replied saying, "I'm feeling you." Hikaru nodded with a confused smile. She quickly stood up, placing the chair, and offered him a seat. Hikaru sat on the chair and asked, "Now tell me, why do you always shift houses? And why don't you ever come out of your house?" She replied, "Come with me," and started walking away. Hikaru followed her with confusion.

She came out of her room, opening the door to the next room, which was dark. She invited Hikaru in, who hesitated at first but entered. As he stepped in, she turned on the light, revealing the room's walls completely covered with different paintings—mountains, forests, seas, rain, snow, beautiful flowers, trees, sun, and rivers. Hikaru's eyes widened in astonishment. Ayumi stood next to him, Hikaru exclaimed saying, "That's beautiful." She replied with a smile, "Hmm." Hikaru asked, "Did you make these?" She nodded, saying, "Yes, I did." Hikaru complimented saying, "You really are beyond talented; that's amazing." She smiled and said, "I wonder how they feel." Hikaru, confused, looked at her. She continued saying, "I've never felt or experienced these things."

Hikaru's eyes widened in shock, and he asked, "What?" She nodded and explained, "I've never felt the rain, neither seen the sea in real life, nor lain on grass or run freely on grass, or sat under a tree." Hikaru gazed at her with complete astonishment. Ayumi looked at Hikaru and said, "Let's go back to my room." They both entered her room, and she offered him a seat. He sat, looking at her, and she smiled, saying, "You are the first person I'm meeting in real life after my parents." Hikaru's eyes widened asking, "You never came out of your house?" She shook her head in no, Hikaru asked, "Why?" She smiled and revealed a birthmark on her left shoulder. Hikaru looked at the mark and asked, "What's that?" She responded saying "That's the reason I'm always in my room."

Hikaru asked, "Why?" She explained saying, "It's a mark indicating that I have the same fate as my ancestors." Hikaru kept looking at her, and she added saying, "That mark means that even a minor injury or cut in my body will kill me." Hikaru's eyes widened in disbelief. She continued saying, "It's a curse in my family; my ancestors had it. It disappeared but returned after three generations, and I am the victim this time." Hikaru was shocked. She smiled and said, "That's why my parents always keep me in this room, taking care of me and preventing me from doing anything." Hikaru asked, "What's the cure to this?" She replied, "There is no cure; my ancestors died with this." Hikaru asked, "So you've never been to school?" She shook her head in no and replied saying, "Never, but my parents taught me everything, like how to read, how to write. My mother taught me how to paint, and since then, I always keep painting." Hikaru was lost in thought. She stood up and said, "You are my first friend, but unfortunately, we won't be together for long. I will be gone by next week." She stretched her body, and Hikaru said, "Hey, Ayumi."

Ayumi looked at him and asked, "Yeah?" Hikaru said, "I am also cursed." She kept glancing at him and asked, "Cursed?" Hikaru said, "I can't die." Her eyes widened. Hikaru added saying, "It might sound stupid, but I can't die. Whenever I die, time gets reversed by 15 to 20 minutes. If I keep dying at the same time, then I will be stuck in a loop, but I won't die." She leaned towards him quickly glancing at him and asks, "So you can change time and alter the future by preventing your death?"

Hikaru nodded, and the she said, "Wow, that's an amazing superpower." Hikaru corrected saying, "It's a curse." She interrupted, asking, "Can you save me if I die here right now?" Hikaru looked at her and said, "What?" She said, "I mean, if I die here, and you also kill yourself, can you save me from dying by traveling back in time?" Hikaru responded saying, "Yes, I can." She asked, "And will my memories be removed?" Hikaru said, "No, you will just forget your death and everything that happens in ten minutes before your death."

She nodded and said, "Alright, then let's test this and see if it works." Hikaru said, "I have already tested it on my friend." She insisted saying, "Let's test it again then." Hikaru asks, "Are you sure?" She said, "Wait just here." She quickly went out from her room and returned with a knife. She put the knife on her forearm and glanced at Hikaru, asking, "Can you really kill yourself for me?" Hikaru nodded yes and asked, "How can you trust me? What if I'm lying?" She smiled and said, "Im seeing hope in you. If it works, then my life will be changed, forever. If it doesn't, then I will be freed from this cursed life."

Hikaru looked nervous. She smiled and added saying, "And one more thing, I have the same mark on my left thigh." Hikaru's eyes widened as she gave a small cut on his forearm, blood started coming out, and she began feeling unconscious. Hikaru, with wide-open eyes, caught her as she was about to fall. He started breathing heavily, Ayumi wasn't moving now. Hikaru checked if she was breathing, but she wasn't. His eyes widened, and he quickly picked up the knife, put it on his throat, eyes wide, sweating, gasping. He clenched his teeth and gave a big slash, cutting his throat, blood splattering on the ground.
