Chapter 9

"Brother calm down. Jealously was always your thing, I see that it hasn't change!" Alex was still staring at them. How come they were so young? The council was supposed to be old and ancient like, for they were the first council meeting who voted for the laws in Bewix.

"Greetings your majesties." The one with the red strands spoke. "We are the…."

"The councils?"

"Oh no, not at all." The violet one interrupted. "We are just the humble servants chosen to assist the council in their quest. We are one piece of them."

"Piece of them?"

"Yes. Myself, Mark, lord of intelligence." His voice still hard and sure. Simon could see the pride into his eyes. "We are the discipline of the council; I assist the lord of intelligence in his  chores." His eyes gleamed as he talked. "You could say that I'm his support and…."

"Will you stop bragging about you?" The one with the orange robe talked. "Forgive him your majesty, that's the unfortunate side of Mark, once he starts talking about himself, he will never stop. We must always interfere."

"And that's the lord of jealousy sir, he can't abstain himself from getting annoyed whenever someone intelligent talk." Mark shrugged.  His narrow eyes fixed the latter sharply and half amused.

"Oh, do tell me if someone intelligent has just talked I would like a word with him…" He gestured his hands and ignored his words as annoying bees. The red strands walked between them and cleared his tone.

"It's clear to me that they are not the council." Alex said against his annoyed tone.

"Greetings, sir. I am the humble servant of the lord of love. My name is Jon Cupit." He walked in the front and added with another respectful voice. "We are the here to assist you in your quest in saving Bewix. And we shall not leave until we fulfill the important task we have been given."

"Why is the council not here personally?" Alex and Simon marched down the stairs. "I was told that they would come to discuss the matter here."

"Oh rest assures your majesties, we have been briefed about the whole situations." Ian finally said. Being the lord of naughtiness he always liked to have the last words. "Although we are quite dramatic."

"Speak for yourself, Ian." Jamie added, with a roguish air. "Your majesty, please." They sat around the round table and ready to argue over the fact how to stop the destruction of their world.

"I would like to know what is wrong with Bewix?" That was the first question he had to ask. "Why I have been summoned here."

Mark shrugged.  "We have supervised some events that happened here in Bewix after you left." He could say that the latter didn't quite understand. "A portal has been opened. Far in the west of our world. And it is engulfing our world slowly…."

"….This is causing the loss of some villages that already disappeared and some that are still waiting their death."

"A portal? How?" Simon felt another heat inside him.  He did use the source of his magic to forced open the portal. And he was having the hint what they might tell him next. It was his fault.

"Unfortunately, no one is able to understand the cause of it, all we have discovered is that it is growing in width and if not stopped, we all will soon be engulfed into our own doom. Even the elves, have fleeted and seeked refuge on the Eden Garden, they think that it is the only place they would be save."

Amy blankly yawns and pried at the pain she was still having in her knees. A bright sun was already shining outside leaving a warm air through the room. Simon was not there. She might have some time to prepare and take a warm shower. A vivid memory popped into her mind. A thought of their first encounter. His hands on her body, she could feel it again. "I see that someone already made a place in Simon's bed." A rude voice interrupted her.

Yiana was standing at the door and she was breathing fire. Her hands crossed and her eyes annoyingly fixed on the latter. Her hairs long and loose. "Mortal….you have no rights to be here." She assumed.

Amy wasn't even sure if she should answer to her or not. As it appeared to her that she might be royalty, the silver crown she had, was proving it. "Excuse me, should I know who are you?"

"No doubt that you are a mortal, no ethics, no respect." Pride loomed in her words and her style. "I am the princess of the seven seas, and the queen to be of Bewix.I wonder why Simon brought you here. He knew that it will surely occur the wrath of the council."

Wrath of the council?Simon told her that mortal was allowed in their world. Why would he do that? "Simon is in trouble then?" Amy timidly asked.

"I wouldn't say trouble." She added. "I can't believe he fell for a mortal." Simon was always stubborn. Maybe he brought Amy here to make her jealous. He can't possibly fall in love with that mortal. He was always proud of his standards.

"Where is he?" She asked after a few more minutes. She held her stomach. "I'm hungry." She whispered.

"Simon is busy in a conference with the council. In the study." She was still stalking at the latter. "Something funny about you."

"What's so funny about me?" She bellowed back with an attitude. "Your highness would prefer a fairer complexion maybe…"

"No…..but maybe some respect I deserve." She walked towards the door. "And if I were you I would leave before Simon decides to fight for his stupid actions, by bringing you here." She knew that he would do his best to prove that he made the perfect choice by bringing her in his world.
