Chapter 46

It was ice cold and she was freezing to death, she stood on the surface of the hill and she could see Bewix, but it changed; the air seemed to have been contaminated. The land that was once white as snow, now was nothing but ashes, black mixed with dried blood. It certainly gave her goose bumps. She walked towards the broken building, now that looked more like ruins, abandoned and cursed.  She felt a clumsy suffocation as she breathes, and thoughts about what had happened to everyone she once knew invaded her mind. She felt a guilt towards her own consciousness, she knew it. It was her fault. Maybe she should have listened to her heart and accept that true fact about her life. She should have known how to react and help them. "Listen carefully princess," a faint voice came from the haunted mist that were now immerging from beneath the ground. "this shall be the consequences if you decide to join hand with the enemy. Set aside your love and think about the benefit you can do with the power inside of you. We shall be here to guide you. Let us through your heart and we shall lead you to victory. You shall not be able to blame yourself for everything..."

"Whatever happens I shall make sure that she makes the right choice." Alex said to himself as he approaches the room. He wondered if she is awoken yet, or maybe he should let her asleep and he could just sit and watch her. It been a long time since he watched her lost in her own dreams. He often wonders if he is a part of that world.

"What are you doing here?" she stood on at the balcony, staring outside. Her eyes fixed on the nautical twilight.

"I thought you would be asleep." He marched towards her, yet a strange tension came inside him, something was wrong, he knew it. It was about her. But he had to take his chance. "Beautiful view."

"Yes, I agree. But it is most regrettable if someday all of these would be nothing but a barren dying land. Magic that once belonged would be nothing but a painful past to regret." She whispered at her most tensed voice.

"That won't happen." He assured her.

"Yes, I won't let it happen." She agreed. "That is why it is compulsory that i make the right choice."

"Amy, are you fine?"

"Now I am." She finally turn to face him, her eyes were now navy blue. The color of the stone and ice.  "That is why I've decided to choose and end what my mother started." She didn't let him react to that: she pushed him hard on the floor.  A blue flame encircled her, without wasting any more time she lifted her hands allowing the flames around him. It turned surrounded him a few more time, ultimately it wrap around his neck. Forcing him to forfeit. He found his breath slowly lowered and his heart at fast pace. "Amy what are you doing?" he managed to say.
