“Okay.”
After they were both clean and Duncan had borrowed a toothbrush, Lynn led the way to the bed, turning back the burgundy covers. They settled in beside each other.
“You know, this should feel strange, but it just seems so comfortable with you. I hope it won’t be awkward in the office come Monday morning.”
Duncan pulled Lynn close, warm chest pressed up against him and Lynn’s head on his chest as he stroked that silky black hair. “We’ll just take it day by day, okay? Tonight, we decided to act on an attraction that’s been there all along. There’s no rush, is there?”
Closing his eyes and wrapping his arm around Duncan’s waist, Lynn replied, “No, there’s no rush.”
And so it began.
