Gustav struggled to cough out the words too shocking, too painful for him to say normally. He focused all his attention on the man he was talking to. He almost didn't notice how Julius moved restlessly. He had no time for Julius. He needed to hear the man's answer clearly.
"Yes, he is dead. And it was you who killed him!"
The venom in that voice spilled over Gustav's heart and spread throughout his bloodstream. Gustav killed...?
"Me?" But how, he thought panickedly. How? Did he stab him? Did he shoot him? Did he strangle him?
Something was wrong here. Something was clearly wrong here. After all, Gustav hadn't seen his ex-boyfriend in a year so all of the above eventualities were simply impossible. He hadn't spoken to him on the phone. He hadn't sent him any messages. By the same token, he could not order him to die. So how was he supposed to cause his death?
