Being King in another world

A soon to be a dead person is reincarnated in another world as Gilgamesh. He thought about living a kingly life but there is more to it than he thought. --- This is going to be a little slower pace but I will try to make some adventures for Gilgamesh. Remember, MC is not Gilgamesh from Fate but he is in his body so he won’t be calling every single person a mongrel but he will have a similar personality. A little crueler. It will be a little slow but please bear with it. Constructive criticism and suggestions are welcome. This is also going to be kingdom-building so different points of view will be added which may reduce the screen time of MC but I will try to stick with MC more. --- English is not my first language so English professors could participate in correcting me. Chapter 8 New Teacher

An old man with full body armor, white mustache, and short build entered the throne room and bent down on one knee in front of King Nisar.

"Commander in chief reporting!"

King Nisar remained silent for a moment then spoke, "Raise your head and give me a brief explanation, Commander Vahriz."

The old man Vahriz was the commander in chief loyal to serve the king.

He nodded and hand over a servant the written report who gave it to the king.

"So it was a regular dungeon break down?" King said with a bored expression reading the report.

"From the surface, yes. However, when I entered the Sike Village, monsters have already been entered the village and killing people. Some were abducted and some were killed on the spot. From 700 people, only 400 or so people were able to escape from destruction."

Vahriz's expression remained firm when reporting to the king. As an experienced war general, he has seen much bloodshed in his life that he was not that much affected.

"A Level C level dungeon break and killing so many of my people… Vahriz, are you sure about it?"

King Nisar knew that it was something very abnormal.

The dungeon that appeared near the said Sike Village was a new dungeon. A low-level dungeon can't break and erupt from monsters killing this many people.

Normally, E to C level dungeons takes a year or two to develop to grow the monsters. Even if it breaks, it couldn't just directly attack a village.

"Investigation is still going. I left my nephew in to clear the dungeon to let him gain some experience. In three days, I will go again after settling the survivors."

"No need. My son has gained consciousness. I have already measured his magic powers and he has great potential. You have to train him for a week."

"Your majesty, it is wonderful news! It is my honor to train his highness."

He had already heard that the prince had been woken up from his slumber but hearing this news from the king and obtaining the opportunity to train the future king, nothing can be a greater joy than this.

Everyone associated with the king knew that his son had some kind of disease or curse where he remained unresponsive but now that he was healthy, Vahriz was eager to teach him combat techniques.

"You use your time to train him for the week and then you will return to the village for further investigation. Send your nephew to train my son." Nisar said with a heavy voice that Vahriz could only agree.

"Apologies for the rudeness my lord but my nephew is only a 11 years old youth and still inexperience as an instructor." Although his nephew was strong enough to clear a low-level dungeon by himself at full force, training someone was a different matter not to mention that the person in question was the price.

"It is time for young folks to take the command this early. You know what I have been meaning to say." King Nisar said and smiled.

Vahriz opened widened his eyes and smiled. "How wise of you, my lord!"

"Now return and come back tomorrow in the morning at castle ground."

Vahriz nodded and then left.

"Is that a good idea to let him train this early on?" Celia, who had been quiet for the entire conversation spoke standing on his side.

"Sigh* you heard what is going on right? Gilgamesh has to start early if he wishes to stand against neighboring countries. The peace treaty will be expired soon and once that happens, we will be surrounded by both sides." King Nisar said and sighed. He was also reluctant to train Gilgamesh early on but he knew that Gilgamesh couldn't spare any single second.

King Nisar stood from his throne and started to walk behind the throne.

"Plus a monster tamer seems to have entered our territory. If you want then I could take care of it." Celia said walking alongside the king.

"Nah, it is time for your young generation to face challenges. I don't want to hinder their progress by solving every single issue myself." King Nisar said then placed his hand on a plate hanging on a door. Spell letters appeared on the plate and the door was unlocked.

They entered the room but it was dark. King Nisar used a single spell on the torch which slowly ignited all the torches in the room. Many kinds of weapons and crystals came into view but neither of the couples seemed to be interested in those. They walked for some distance until King Nisar cast another spell and a pillar emerged from the ground.

There was something on the pillar. It was a golden key like structure with a complicated handle. However, something was glowing inside the key.

"Don't tell me…"

"See? That's why I am concerned about Gilgamesh. This ultimate treasure started to respond when Gilgamesh become responsive."

"You mean…"

"Yes. Things are escalating than I expected. I would have handed it over to Gil on his tenth birthday but now I have less option with very less time."

"H-he is still a child…" Celia was sad to see her son going through dangers but she could understand the situation.

"I also don't have a choice but to place the bet. I will test him in one year if he reaches level 10 or further." King Nisar said and narrowed his eyes.

---

"Your highness, meet Commander in chief of Uruk and one of the strongest people in this country, Sir Vahriz," Sidri said and beside him was an old man of average height but very strong build. I could see that he was a veteran from the scars on his arms and the aura of a strong person like my father.

After my father taught me about magic, I put all of my efforts into learning magic.

[Spell Casting D: An ability to cast simple elemental spells of early stages.]

I gained this ability when I started to cast simple fire and water magic but when I moved on for earth and electric magic, Spell Casting was upgraded from E to D directly.

From the workout, I also gained a level and I am now level 5.

Anyway, when I came to the training ground Sidri left and came with this old man. If you ignore his long white mustache and eyebrows, he could still be considered the guy on his peak.

I smiled and felt excited to learn actual combat from him.

"As Lady Sidri said, I am Vahriz. I specialize in many kinds of combat but archery and swordsmanship I am best at it." Vahriz bent down on his knee and said.

"Very well. Now I will be in your care. Please train me hard, Uncle Vahriz." I said with the same charming smile.

"Indeed your highness, I won't go easy on you." He replied with respect but I could see a grin on his face. I think my charming skills won't work on veterans.
