Chapter 4: Pro dungeon!!

Chapter 4: Professional level dungeon!!

"Well, I think you shouldn't have entered the Amateur level dungeon. It's no use for you."

Once again, the irritating voice interrupted me.

"What do you mean?", I inquired.

"First of all, it's no use hunting these goblins because you won't get any experiences from hunting them as you are level 5 now. There is a restriction for level 5 and higher levels here. And also note that you will get novice and amateur difficulties only in beginners or Red dungeons as they are mainly made for practicing purposes." The system said.

"What? So, I am wasting my time here. I could have just skipped this and tried Professional. I think that would be challenging. Wait a minute. I saw some points in the market section. What was that? Was it CP?" I asked.

"Yes, you can use them to exchange for spells, skill books, weapons, etc. "It said.

"Well then, it's not completely useless that I came here. I can collect the swords or cores dropped here for CPs." I was elated on knowing that I can further strengthen myself before challenging the Pro level.

(Pro= Short form for Professional level)

I headed straight and I saw only one cave this time. I heard an announcement again.

"Survive this dungeon for 5 minutes as 2 goblins will appear every second.", It said.

I thought that it was pretty easy. But my thoughts changed when I saw its level and its HP.

Ananda Goblin

Level 4

HP:400

I didn't linger my thoughts anymore as I was level 5 now. I just looked forward to getting loots and collecting CPs.

I lunged towards them and slaughtered them with my strikes. I killed them instantly as I was faster, stronger, and creative than them. But as their HPs were near to 400, I needed some time to kill them. By the time I killed them, 4 more goblins were already heading my way. I wasn't scared though. But still, It excited me. I lunged toward them but I didn't attack them thoughtlessly. I had read and watched many fights in my life that just charging straight like a bull was full of openings.

From the first time, I watched anime fights or read novel fights, I liked how the main characters calculated their every next move and executed them perfectly. So, I also tried to fight that way. Fortunately, it was easy for me as I was faster than them and I was confident with my 640HP.

So, I didn't lose despite having many thoughts in my head during the clash. The fight began to feel more challenging as time increased. When the first minute ended, I had killed 30 goblins and there were 90 goblins lunging toward me. The situation was pretty grim as I had to face these many goblins at once. I just had to survive. So, I thought of attacking them while retreating. I was glad that the field was pretty big so, I had a lot of space despite the huge number of goblins.

I didn't lose my cool despite the increasing number of goblins. By the fourth minute, there were 350 goblins still remaining. When the time ended, I had killed 200 goblins. I was pretty proud that I killed that many. But when the dungeon was finished, I found that I couldn't collect anything as I was focused on surviving. So, the plan of collecting CPs backfired.

Well, I didn't dwell on it any longer as spilled milk was already spilled.

So, I was about to head to the market section, when the system mentioned that I could access it through it. I stared at the system for a while and only then browsed through it. I was amazed that there were even Epic ranked stuff though they were still locked. I guessed that I could buy them when the market section is levelled up. I could buy common and rare ranked materials right now. I used the filtered features and searched swords for level 5 and higher.

Market section- level 1 (0/100BP)

· Weapons

1. Bamboo-Steel Sword (Level-5) (Common) Cost-5CP

Attack power +10 Durability 35/35

2. Dawn Breaker (Level-5) (Rare) Cost-20CP

Attack power +20 Durability 50/50

+4 Strength

3. The Iron Smelting Sword (Level-5) (Common) Cost-5CP

Attack power +11 Durability 30/30

4. The Stake (Level-5) (Rare-Growth) Cost-25CP

Attack power +25 +4 Strength Durability 50/50

and so on.

I liked The Stake at a first glance as I understood the meaning behind the growth feature. I knew that the weapon was upgradable. So, I bought it instantly though it didn't have any additional boosts like Dawn Breaker.

Though I liked The Stake, my heart bleeds when I saw the CPs vanishing. I only had 12 CPs remaining now. Now it was time to look for defenses. But I didn't. Instead, I looked for accessories that could increase my strength or agility or luck maybe. (He remembered that he lacked CPs to look for defenses. He was embarrassed that he would love them but couldn't buy them.)

Market section Level-1 (25/100BP)

· Accessories

1. Trash necklace (Common) (Level-5) Cost-3CP

+2 Strength

2. Lucky (Rare-Upgradable) Cost-10CP

+1 Luck

3. Grey Necklace (Rare) Cost-6CP

+3 Strength +2 Intelligence

And so on.

I was astonished to see a ring that could increase Luck. I thought that I struck gold when I saw the upgradable feature on it. I wondered if growth and upgradable meant the same thing or not.

"What does it mean by growth type or upgradable type? Before that, can everyone get these types of stuff on the market section?" I was eager to know the differences but I was more concerned if others could get their hands on such op items.

"Not everyone can be as lucky as you. You can see the best and worst items here while others will see average or good items on the dungeon's market section. And they can only access the market section on Orange dungeons. So, imagine how lucky you are to get me." It cleared my doubts while not failing to praise itself.

"And for your information, I would like to say that upgradable means its rank can be upgraded sacrificing some resources. You will need to unlock the Upgrade section first to actually upgrade it. You are still very far from unlocking it. And who can say if you can still live until then? Growth type means it will increase its levels with its user's and, in some cases, even ranks when its users increase the proficiency in using it.", It said.

I thought about it and felt that the system was right. I was still a newbie with a cheat. But this information also informed of the new possibilities and features. I spent 10CPs on the LUCKY ring which increased my luck once more. I knew that I would get a lot of drops from now on as I dive deeper into the higher levelled dungeon where luck would play a huge role. I took a deep breath, chanted "Ohm Nava Shiva" three times, and entered the Pro level.

I could sense a different atmosphere here in the Pro-dungeon. The air was chillier with murderous auras lingering on it.

Thump

Thump

I could feel my heartbeat increasing as I looked around. I wasn't scared but I was excited to see what type of creature could create an atmosphere like this. I didn't have to dive much deeper before I got my answer. I could see five huge goblins each carrying a huge ax guarding a door. I hid behind a tree as I scanned them.

Brown Horned Goblin (Rare Monster) (Level 11)

HP:1000 HP

They were in a different league compared to the goblins I saw before. They looked bigger, mightier, fiercer and stronger, and more intimidating. I knew that I couldn't face all of them at once. So, I thought of something to lure one of them out.

I picked two small pebbles and threw one at them. I thought that if I were to be number 2 in marksmanship, no one would dare to say they were number 1. I was pretty confident. (Author's secret: He thought that because he was alone right now)

I was speechless the next moment as I missed the target. It hit the wall in front of them. But it still did the trick as it successfully gathered their attention. The next moment they all looked towards each other and two of them headed out to look for the source of the sound. The 1st goblin found the pebble and headed towards me alone while the 2nd went to regroup. The goblin approaching me stopped 2 meters ahead of me and looked around.

I knew that the chance was here. I had to kill it before it returned. When the goblin searched and searched and found nothing, it was disappointed. Its disappointing expression could tell me that it was pretty bored out of mind guarding the door. I thought that I should help it. So, the moment it turned back, I equipped The Stake and attacked its leg with my full strength. I was disappointed to see that it dealt only 60 damage to it. It was a small amount compared to its 1000 HP.

Argh

It screamed painfully and turned back to look at the coward who dared to attack it from behind. Its scream also brought the attention of the remaining 4 goblins for they all looked towards me with their murderous eyes. I wasn't joking when I say that I was about to piss myself if I had to fight all of them myself. Fortunately, they seemed to think of me as nothing but an ant as they didn't join the fight. It seemed as if they were enjoying themselves seeing an ant struggling for life. Their attitude pissed me. Though my full-strength attack didn't do them much harm, they shouldn't underestimate my 18 points in agility.

The 1st goblin looked angry as it looked at me with its seething eyes. If eyes could kill me, I would have already died 100 times. But that's all it could do. As before it attacked me, I lunged at it with my chop.

Well, chop, vertical slash, and horizontal slash were pretty much what I could do right now with my sword. I had to use it more and more to discover new forms of attacks and combinations. I dealt another 60 damage as I connected my 2nd hit.

I didn't give it any chance to attack me as my slashes continued to rain down upon it.

Vertical slash -60

Horizontal slash -60

Chop-120 critical hit

The four goblins looked smug for a moment before their expression continued to worsen. They looked pretty shocked to see their partner getting so beaten up that it couldn't even resist. Before they reacted, I had already connected more than 10 hits with 10 combos.

When my combos reached 10, my attack power increased by 50% as each attack dealt 90 damage each and some critical hit even dealing 180 damage.

The goblin was shocked right now. It was finally excited after a long period of time as it wouldn't see anyone here. But its fight in a decade turned out to be one-sided where it was getting pummeled. It wanted to resist and stop my combo as continuous combos dealt more damage but it was helpless. As the time continued to increase, it knew that struggle was futile and despair was all it could feel for the first time in its life.

By the time, the observing goblins reacted and rushed towards me, I had successfully killed my first target.

Ting

I could hear the system notification as the 1st goblin was killed. I didn't bother to see what the message was or what dropped when the first goblin died as four goblins were rushing toward me.

I will write this novel in first person from here on out. Sorry for the inconvenience. If you have any problems, do tell me. I am just at 4th chapter. I can update previous chapters too in first person narration. Thank You guys.
