The Preparation Part 1

Zithea's POV

Hmm I wonder, will Night accept this job?. By the way things are going right now, I think he would. Technically speaking this job is not only a mission to me or him, this is related to the family. Knowing him, I'm sure he'll do whatever it takes to complete this properly because family is involved. And when family is involve, things are going to harder than usual and that is something we have to look out for.

I'm currently still in the Headquarters but I'm in my office now since Night left like 2 hours ago. I glanced at the clock and notice it's quite late already. I sighed and leaned my back on the chair and closed my eyes for a bit.

After a few minutes, I heard a knock on my door. "Zithea, it's Dr. Zen can I come in?" He said outside my office room. I sat up and spoke, "Come in Dr. Zen".

The door of my office room opened, slowly revealing Dr. Zen's figure. He looked a bit happy and apologetic at the same time. I wonder why?

I gestured at him to seat on the chair near my table. "So, what brings you here Dr. Zen?. It's quite late already. Aren't you supposed to be with my uncle right now in his office doing work?" I asked him curiously after all, it's literally almost 3 in the morning now.

"Yes I was supposed to but Midnight just called me and he said that he'll accept the job that your uncle asked him to do." He said to me as his sat down in the chair in front of me.

I leaned back onto my chair, "That's great then. Should we start preparing for the plan right away? Knowing Night he would want to finish the job sooner." I said to Dr. Zen.

Night would definitely try to finish this as soon as possible. As his partner, I should keep up with it to ensure that we'll be safe and wrap this problem up sooner. I'm going to have to go home first to pick up a few supplies we'll definitely need on the mission.

"I'll be talking with your uncle first about the plan. So if you need something like your personal stuffs then you should prepare it for now then stand by with midnight. While we'll be planning here in the headquarters. I'll call you later about the details then come back into the headquarters with Midnight. Okay?" Dr. Zen said to me as he stood up from the chair

"Okay I got it Dr. Zen. I'll join Midnight after getting all of my stuff" I said to him then he sent a short nod as a sign of acknowledgement then opened the door and left my office. I leaned back on my chair again then took my phone to chat midnight.

**CHAT**

Me: Hey I'm coming over to your house. I'll just pick up a few things at home then I'll head directly there okay?

Midnight: All right. Call me when you get here. I'll prepare my stuffs later, I'm gonna sleep for a while. I'm really tired. By the way while you're at it, buy me coffee if you're going to Starbucks before going here.

Me: Okay I will what do you want?

Midnight: Java chip frap

Me: All right, see you then.

** End of chat**

I closed my phone and placed it on top of my desk. I took the files that were scattered on my desk and placed them all inside of the cabinet in my table. I closed my laptop and held it in my left hand. I stood up and also took my phone and keys. I walked towards my door and opened it. I closed the lights and the door then proceeded to walk towards the parking lot where my car is to head home first before going to Night.

After 30minutes of driving I've finally arrived at my home. I've parked my car first then opened the door of my car to come out then closed it. I walked towards the door with the key in my hand to open it. I was holding so much stuff which is why I didn't bother opening the lights first, I placed all of my stuffs at the couch then proceeded to open the lights. Today is really an exhausting day, I wanna sleep so bad right now but I have to prepare all of the necessary stuffs that we'd be using in the mission.

I took my blazer off and placed it on the couch and went upstairs in my room. I took some of my clothes and my gadgets that I'll need. I took my medical kits and placed them on a small bag. I took my other gadgets such as an extra laptop, a smartphone with a secured line, earpiece and most importantly my handguns and flash grenades. I mean we might not need it since we're going undercover at school but still it can be risky. In a mission like this, anything can go wrong at any time which is why we can never trust others and sometimes not even ourselves.

I placed all of my stuffs in a black duffle bag and after I was done I closed the zipper and carried it along with the smaller bag. I went downstairs and placed it on the table in the living room then went towards the kitchen to get another medic kit filled with pills just in case. I also took some coffee and placed it inside the tumblr then finally I was done preparing.

I texted Night one last time to tell him I'm on my way to his house but as per his request gonna buy some food so it's gonna take me at least 30mins or an hour. He hasn't seen it so he's probably taking a nap or whatever. I grabbed all of my stuffs, opened the door to leave and placed all of them in the trunk of my car. After that I closed the door of my house and went inside the car to drive off. This day is really exhausting but I gotta do what I gotta do.
