Behind Shelves | Weird

  "Oh Selene, I didn't expect you to be the....." He look on his paper and to me again. ".....the writer we hired a few days ago."

  I blinked once then twice before running my fingers through my hair, making it a bit messy.

  Why co-incidence always happening in me?

  I look on David's serious figure before sitting near his table. How could he be the owner of the Miraculus inc? How?

  "Pretty shock, Korekong? Anyways, I am David Miraculus, your sweetheart childhood playmate."

  What did he say?!

  I laughed. "Nahihibang kaba?" O baka ako na ang nahihibang?

  "I am not. My stepdad run this company and he send me here to get my project done and my project is you, Selene. Kita mo nga naman ang tadhana, napakapaborito ako." Matapos non ay ngumiti ito ng nakaloloko, parang nawala ang angas niya ng pinagdikit niya ang dalawang daliri niya at gumagikhik.

  I want to say that he's cute but nah that was cringe.

  "Nalimot mo atang inumin gamot mo, Kolokoy." I said. Feeling a bit of happiness since I haven't call him that way for a very long time.

  "Hmm I like that, gumaganti ka ha." He said, laughing while pointing at me. He then stand and walk close to me.

  "So, Selene..." Tumigil ito sa sasabihin nito tila ba may nakita na hindi ko alam. Unti-unti namang namula ang pisngi nito.

  "Uhm, hello? Earth to, David." I said while waving my hands on his face but he seems occupied on his own world.

David's Point of View

  It was like some lightning strucked me. I can't move, I can't speak, my eyes was all on her face.

  She is so beautiful. Her eyes look like an angel. Her lips was so red. I know everything has change but everything on her makes her beautiful.

  I heard my heart beating as I blinked when she wave her hands in front of me.

  Shoot! I didn't notice that I am staring. What's wrong with me?

  I moved away, trying to make some distance between us and I totally forgot that my secretary is here with us.

  I gave him a death glare and looks like he get it. Simon leave us in my office.

  I took a deep breath and look on her again. She look around, she looks like memorizing everything in the office.

  She's still the same Selene I met years ago. She's still innocent and beautiful.

  I feel so bad that I didn't even get a chance to say goodbye to her. She was precious to me back then, I don't want her to see crying because I am leaving.

  Sobrang naging duwag ako pero mga bata pa naman kami noon, now that we are adult I want to gain those time that I wasted.

  I will make it up to Selene. I want her back, I mean...I want us back, the old us.

  "So why Sir Miraculus is not here? Bakit hindi pa siya umuuwi at ikaw lang?" She was so curious and she was too cute to bare.

  I shook my head. I don't want to tell her that my stepdad actually mad at me that's why he let me handle this big project and if this project fails, my life will fail too.

  I miss dad so much but this is our life now, I meed to keep going and prove myself.

  May naisip naman ako para maalis ang stress sa isipan ko. Lookig at her it was so graceful and calm, I want to be with her. Good thing that she is the one who'll involve in the project I was going to do.

  Without her noticing I gradually put my hand on her head and gently pat her head.

  She was too stunned to speak, I knew she was nervous when I am around,but my hard stupid ass want to be close with her always.

  When I was in the Canada I always think about coming back here and making up things right on her, I know I am not too late.

  My life there was kinda miserable. I enter all the jobs I knew and can just to give and provide money for my mom.

  Maybe this punishment that my stepdad gave to me was just my rest to all of my harworks.

  I need to enjoy this. I will surely enjoy this with her, I really like it when she is pissed and angry about what I did, she is so cute.

  "Luh?" Bumalik naman ako sa katinuan ko ng magsalita si Selene. She movwd her head away from my hand and laughed.

  "I am asking you things, David." She was so serious, she looks like she is gonna throw a punch in my face anytime.

  "Ah, what's the question again?" Ngumisi ako ng makita kong namumula na ang tainga nito dahil sa hindi malamang inis.

  I laughed so hard and nods my head. Trying to calm her down.

  "Chill, Selene. Masiyado ka ng seryoso sa buhay, why not kain muna tayo bago pag-usapan ang about sa novel na ginagawa mo?"

  Yeah! Did I do it right? Do I look cool on that? I lessen her worries and I will gonna have some solo time with her.

  I feel so cool right now.

  "Pass." Lumaki naman ang mata ko sa sinagot niya. She yawned and scratched her nape like she is bored on something.

  "B-bakit naman?"

  "I want to sleep."

   I look around and point the couch, I then get the pillow and give it to her.

  "Then sleep."

   Lumaki naman ang mata niya sa suhestiyon ko. She laughed like there is no tomorrow.

  She laughed so beautiful. She sounds like a bullfrog.

   "Loka ka talaga, David noh? Ahahaha pwede ka ng mag-apply sa circus bilang clown." Kumunot naman ang noo ko at huminga ng malalim.

  "Is that so? It's just I want you to stay here for a bit." I sighed and put my hands on my pocket while looking at her directly.

  She averted her gaze on me and scratched her cheek. She seems so uncomfortable. Is it because of me?

  "Are you feeling alone here?" She asled and I immediately nod my head.

  "Then I can stay here for a bit." She then went to the couch and make herself comfortable with pillows on her chest.

  She really is gonna sleep there.

  "Rest well, I'll be right here." I said and went to my swivel chair. A smile crept in my face while looking at her. It felt so weird just by looking at her my heart's wings are clapping in happiness.

  I shook my head and slap my cheek. Damn what's wrong with you David? Insane shit.
