Chapter 48: Dear Reader

Stefan Frost had used the last of his influence to get them out of jail a second time. The female investigator, Detective Montoya, only agreed to the deal under the condition he stepped down as Head Councilor. Stefan didn’t even hesitate. He relished having more time for his hobbies like golf and fencing.

Theo wasn't completely convinced that his father was going to give up a life in politics. He suspected that Stefan would still find ways of influencing the magical world albeit in a more behind the scenes approach. His father was too much of a workaholic for his own good. The man would be climbing the walls of the Green Mansion in weeks if he didn't have anything to do.

His parents had backed off pushing him towards the political track for now. He knew they would be prodding him again soon enough. He wasn't completely disavowing politics for the rest of his life. At the moment, he just wanted to graduate.
