Chapter 31: High in Fidelity

Kate woke up early that Monday for her Music Application and Theory class. She felt more alive since she was able to catch up on more sleep over the weekend. She was trying not to stress herself more about the orchestra. If she got kicked out, she could comfort herself with the knowledge she had tried her hardest.

Killing herself from exhaustion wasn't going to help her play better.

Kate walked briskly through campus, her hands in the pocket of her winter coat as she left Rhiannon. It was nearing the end of January which was the coldest month of the year in Salem. More snow would come in February and stay until March followed by rain. Salem had a few months of warmth during the summer before the cold came back with a vengeance.
