"Should I have forced her to marry me even though it was obvious she didn't feel the same way about me? Was it wrong of me to wait for the execution of my plans when she was of legal age to make decisions for herself...," Amos mumbled.
He paid no attention to the people who stopped and took a second glance at him.
"Should I have disregarded all these things just because I love and wanted to protect her? Would the outcome have been different if I had struck the iron while it was hot?" Amos, who had always believed in his strategies, began to doubt everything he had done concerning Joanna.
Amos was still walking on the less busy street when a car screeched to a stop in front of him. Two men in blue suits obstructed his path.
Without raising his head, he walked to the right to avoid them but the two men blocked his path once again.
