Selena stood outside the hospital ward, scared to even go in. Rick had told her how much of a terrible condition their dad was in and how he was not responding to treatment. Thinking about it, she was not sure if she could see him in pains.
Standing next to her, Timothy stood, carrying Jayden in his arms, and looking at his wife with encouraging eyes.
"It's okay," he said, and walked towards her to kiss her cheek that was stained with tears, "if you can't do it today, we can always come back later. Maybe you'll feel better by then," he added but Selena shook her head defiantly.
"No," she said and walked to the door, "I want to see him now."
She turned to Rick and nodded.
"I'm ready,"
Rick nodded and opened the door, closing it after she had stepped in. He turned to Timothy and shook his head before going to sit on the bench outside the door.
